Old thread had done its job - onto a new one.
 
Bowling at the death and openers. Pakistan lost the match due to ordinary performance over a small period of time
 
Misbah for failing to realise that you cannot expect hacks to deliver when its needed.
 
Seniors or tried and tested'rs let Misbah down BIG time. I dont know how much input he has in team selection though.
 
the TTF brigade and amin...... farhat,malik,amin,kamran,hafeez. and the selectors who selected these morons.
 
It should e Zaka Ashraf who made Iqbal Qasim as a chief selector, the most incompetent chief selector to choose this pathetic team.
 
Match Ka Mujrim is the one who appointed IQ as selector

Dont know how much input Misbah had, if he did then he is to blame also

As far as todays XI goes...

Farhat, Malik, Hafeez, Kamran,

the rest played their part and tried their best.. Amin failing but cant blame him much

That situation was made for a Hammad, Razzler, Afridi, Uakmal, Fawad lineup
 
IQBAL QASIM and ZAKA ASHRAF for selection pathetic players!
 
Boils down to an inept and useless selection committee.

Blessed with the best bowling attack in the world, so what do we do?
We pick Ehsan Adil and Abdur Rehman to look pretty and warm the bench.

If we had Umar Akmal, Haris Sohail or ANY OTHER 2 specialist batsmen in the squad after that no show on Friday we could have drafted them in and made amendments.

Iqbal Qasim has to go.
 
I would also like to say that the selection committee overall is the problem. But since this thread is about the "match" I believe that out top order is the real culprit. Mainly the top 3 (Nasir, Farhat, and Hafeez). Doesnt matter how good the bowling is they are always score at 4 runs a over for the first 10. There has never been a instance where Pakistan is getting off to fliers with them at the helm.

Only if we can just solidify the batting.
 
Misbah, Whatmore and Iqbal to be blamed for the two losses

Though Misbah has played two good knocks so far he should not escape the critsizm. He is the captain of the team and when the team is doing well he will get the credit but when the team loses he has to take his share of the blame as well.
He has his say in the selection and backing the tried and tested failures like Farhat, Malik and Kamran was a big mistake.

And how much time will you give Whatmore?

Iqbal Qasim should be fired right away. They did send Haris Sohail to India and SA when he was unfit, and when he actually was fit they sent players like Malik and Farhat and even Hafeez is a rubbish player as he never deliveres with bat when you need him most.
What is the need for experience when it cant help you in preassure situations.

Would have been better to send young players like Shehzad, Umar, Haris and Sohaib. And even if he had lost with them it would not have hurt this much.
 
Misbah?

Firstly, he does not select the team. He just deals with the players handed to him

Secondly, the shehzaaday sitting at home aren't Bradmans either. If we drop the current players they will be replaced by another set of hacks

We need to accept the fact that there is little talent back hom right now as far as batting is concerned
 
Misbah's brainless field set and Wahab Raiz's rubbish bowling. Also, Umer Akmal's pathetic wicket keeping at the end. And last but not the least, the blind umpire who gave one short.
 
Misbah is not as much to blame as Riaz... they had a plan and he clearly wasn't bowling to it...
 
Wahab, Umpire (for giving short run), i accept umpires giving wrong LBW's, caught behinds but giving short run :facepalm:
 
PAK batting because they were playing test match. umer should bat at no.3. drop crap hafeez. riaz pathetic last over and the stupid blind umpire.
 
Ajmal's mental block against narine was costly !

The KUT in that over changed the complexion of the match !

And thanks to wahab ofcourse !

Afridi - Completely listless bowling performance today while defending a (relatively) small total.




Lesser mujrim...
Selection of Playing XI - Rahman should have played instead of Amin or Harris. YOU CAN NOT play 7 batsmen in an ODI XI... and struggle to find another bowlers if one of the bowler has an off day. India used to played 7 batsmen in Gnaguly (or Dravid) days... their part timers always got tonked... plus 7th batsman almost never did anything special....simply because if your six batsmen can't score, 7th WILL NOT. We were one bowler short.

Here is some of those matches... when India used to play 7 batsmen and get heavily
criticized by the commentators and experts for doing that;

Openers S/R:
You win the toss, elect to bat.... where the opposition captain has stated that @280 could be easily chased.... openers start with a S/R of 3.5 in 18 overs!

Must say PP calling you an afridi lover seems to be making you determined to slate on him. I think junaid khans bowling was much worse than Afridis.

Bowling coach? minus junaid's brilliance against india and irfan's come back our bowling has generally declined under his tenure.

not only did Junaid bowled poor but also dropped a sitter.his body language was poor throughout the match.
 
am seriously unable to comprehend why doesn't PCB engage Mushtaq ahmed full time when he has clearly said engage his services? are they blind to see what he has done for England?

Pakistan go down 100 rating points after this loss, 5 points behind 5th place South Africa now.

Apart from having zero contribution with the bat, their fielding was also atrocious. Irfan wasn't special either.
 
Afridi - useless player

Shezad - Nasir -negative approach to batting

Misbah - HMM captaincy issues

Irfan and Juni - couldnt do what the Zimbabwe bowlers did
 
Even when Hafeez got out Pakistan looked very well set to score 275+-. However team lost its way in once hafeez got out. They didnt seemed to be doing anything right after that.
 
Collective failure. After Hafeez's 70, the next highest score was 20 odd. Even though you gotta say Sarfraz, Haris and Umar were a tad bit unlucky with their dismissals. Credit where credit's due, Zimbo's played better than us on the day.
