Hafeez' batting has irritated me throughout his career. And his stubbornness about dropping down the order. If he played in a Moeen Ali type role throughout his career and batted at 6 or 7, he would have won many more matches for Pak.

He has played some stunning innings in the UAE in tests and some good ODI innings (averaging low 30's). But he should bat lower down the order.

Hafeez has been one of the few seniors over the past couple years who has put the team performance over his individual gains and has strayed far away from controversy off the field. Calling him morally corrupt doesnt really align with his behaviour on or off the field.

One thing i do not understand why people think that he does not want to bat lower down the order. Does he make the decision? If team management does not want him to use lower down the order then it is not his fault.

You cant really say i have no idea how the professor works without giving me relevant examples about your point. Give proper examples instead of laughing it off. He's much more selfless and a better team player than someone like afridi who has tried to hog the lime light time and time again.

I've been lurking on these forums for almost 3 years but just signed up recently. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion but i dont think that hafeez fits in the category of selfish players that have plagued pak players over decades.

Chucking is not worse than fixing, but it is cheating nonetheless. He has been reported for his action thrice, which means that he is well aware of what he is doing. He has bowling for 15+ years now and he knows that his action is not clean, which is why he resorts to chucking every time he is under pressure to perform.

He doesn't merit a place in the team anymore, and he is only accurate with the ball when he chucks.

In order for our ODI and T-20 team to do the best it can, it is imperative that we have the services of Hafeez the bowler who can provide with 10 guaranteed economical overs or 4 guaranteed economical overs with a bonus wicket or two hence providing further ammunition for the other bowlers to maintain pressure and to attack. This is literally the difference bw a 300 total and a 240 total
