What's new

Mohammad Rizwan signs for St Kitts and Nevis Patriots, and set to feature in CPL for the first time

Let me guess, somewhere along the line Ian Bishop made comments about Babar, Rizwan or Misbah? Hence the drama about him recently?
Ian Bishop criticized the Guyana bowlers for bowling the wrong lines to Rizwan, which made it easier for him to play his leg side shots. Caved accused him of being critical of Rizwan and claimed that he is biased against Pakistani players. It started from there. I think Caved should provide evidence because Ian Bishop is known to be one of the most unbiased commentators and is respected across all fanbases.

Oh, a biased poster calling an un biased commentator Biased? Nothing new. Same old story.

I like how when Rizwan is not performing, it is he is bad etc. Harris not performing is because hs i not batting in his number.

But if Rizwan performs, than its because the bowlers mistake. ANd than Ian Bishop criticism of the bowlers is criticism of Rizwan that why did Rizwan take advantage of the bowlers

ANd than According to @RyanRyan10 Rana is a cricket expert

This thread keeps getting hilarious

Lmao.

Very few people are paying attention to the actual points I made earlier. The total was 149, and the Amazon Warriors scored 144. From both teams, after Rizwan, the next highest scorer was Shai Hope with 31 off 27 balls. That shows every single batter struggled to score, even at a run a ball rate. But Rizwan not only scored at a strike rate of 137, he batted till the end and could have finished not out if it wasn’t for the run out. But wait somehow, out of all the batters, people think the bowlers bowled badly only to Rizwan. How does that make any sense? It’s laughable. Sometimes, it doesn’t matter how good the bowlers are, if the pitch favors bowling and the ball isn’t coming onto the bat properly, everyone will find it tough. On such pitches, almost all bowlers end up with good economy rates, and this match was no different, with nearly everyone finishing with decent figures.

Good commentary is when the commentator gives balanced views instead of repeatedly targeting a couple of players and only talking about their weaknesses. Even in the last few games, I noticed that some West Indian players were also struggling, but they weren’t criticized in the same way. Like I said, these things are subjective, and viewers will always form their own opinions based on what they hear. A bit of bias is always there, I just shared what I observed, but a few people took it way too far and even asked me to provide “proof.” That kind of back and forth only derailed the real point of discussion.

It was a good knock from Rizwan. He received the PoM award and rightly so. Mentioning that the Guyana bowlers didn't bowl to him doesn't mean he was criticizing Rizwan. You should also provide evidence of Ian Bishop being consistently and unfairly critical of Pakistan players.

Not this nonsense again. No, I won’t provide any evidence, what exactly are you going to do about it? I’m absolutely certain Ian Bishop isn’t the biggest fan of Rizwan, and it’s clear from his commentary. That’s fine, he’s his own person, a highly respected cricketer, and he can decide who he likes or doesn’t. But instead of going in circles over silly stuff, why not discuss Rizwan’s actual innings? Also, try reading my previous posts instead of just repeating the same stuff that others have already pointed out or discussed.

I have clearly mentioned in my previous post that he played a good knock. I haven't made any personal remark at you so why are you angry with me?

No, you’re the one who started the same nonsense again and asked me for proof, something we’ve already wasted the whole day discussing. If you quote me and ask a silly question, then expect me to reply accordingly.

We did discuss Rizwan’s actual innings which you guys were hyping up as if it’s the kind of form Pakistan needs

It’s you who made the absurd allegations against Bishop. That was a big mistake on your part.

You can simply end this by apologising and saying you misrepresented Ian Bishop here. You don’t have to continue to dig holes for yourself.

o, you’re the one who started the same nonsense again and asked me for proof
How is it nonsense to ask for proof?

You are paining Bishop in the same light as Ramiz and Amir Sohail. Thats unacceptable given how much regard many of us have for a great commentator such as Ian Bishop. This cannot be left unaddressed.

He is a very weird commentator. Pakistani fans base their opinion on what a commentator says and with the way he has been going after babar rizwan and shan is just ridiculous. Two of those guys won icc awards, one of thrm has won iccs top award which is cricketer of the year.

Guy needs to calm down a bit. This isnt nz, this is south asia where fans are ready to fgo after players and media influence selection.

Simon doull clearly has no idea where he is commentating.

Jee Major sab? You want to be exposed as a hypocrite?

Like I said before, I will. But first, go ahead and repeat those cheap lines you used yesterday, about how you warned me and how, when you’re done with me, no one will feel sorry for me. I’m asking because honestly, it makes my day, and it gives you a free therapy session, and at the same time, it even gives me a little scare lol

Simon Doull and Ian Bishop, two commentators who have done more for cricket than Babar and Rizwan ever have….

But RizBar fans have no limits to shamelessness in tarnishing their good name!

What I said is so correct. No one is feeling sorry for you. You just made it a hell of a lot easier by making false accusations towards Ian Bishop. That was a big big mistake. You were doing ok with your little outbursts and defining stages etc.

This was a massive own goal. You should learn to not get carried away.

Again, we can draw a line under this if you simply apologise about this misrepresentation. I won’t remind you of it. Others might, I cannot control them. But you have my word, if you apologise and admit it was poor judgment on your behalf….I’ll move on to the next point of discussion.

It’s amazing how you brought this up about Bishop, I’m sure you’ve made the same assessment about Ramiz Raja who targets everyone besides Babar and Rizwan??

And Pakistan will still win 15 out of those 20 matches. Why are you crying?
4 runs in 6 balls wins u matches?

Anyways cant wait for harris to be discarded like a wet tissue inshallah.

Its hilarious how @Rana keeps dodging harris pathetic batting, but than when rizwan scores 80plus, he starts dissecting it.

Harris is soo garbage, you bowl him a garbage delivery he will still find a fielder to get himself out

That alone does not win you matches but it does provide you a better chance to win matches compared to a 50 on 45 balls.

Rizwan took 33 balls to get his eye in and then started scoring.

He was 37 off 33.

Rizwan, despite his limitations, has one special quality that many players don’t, he reads pitch conditions very well and adjusts his game accordingly. That’s exactly what he did, and it turned into a fantastic innings.
He is good at adjusting his strike rate downwards, which would be a helpful quality on slow sluggish pitches, but these pitches are rare in T20. He is unable to adjust his game to strike at higher rates.

@Nikhil_cric made a wonderful post a while back. I always remember the words. I believe he was referring to Rizwan and Babar. They are able to create a floor but unable to raise the ceiling. Something like that. It was a good and accurate summary of their pros and cons.

Sorry but what makes you think that Harris will find a fielder? How dare you.

Harris is most likely to miss a straight ball and get bowled
😠

We’ll see how Rizwan’s replacement performs and revisit this in a year. He’s not perfect for T20s, but he’s the best we’ve got. Who would you pick instead, Haris?

His replacement has been part of an improving Pakistan team. Yes, Harris that is. Put Rizwan in the Australia side instead of Inglis, and in the England side instead of Salt, and in the South Africa side instead of Rickleton....

They will all eventually become Scotland, Ireland and South Africa level.

Unfortunately I will not be able to watch the match tmr or even comment. As I will be on a flight at that point in time.

But bookmark this post. Haris will perform tmr, end of story. This is just match 1 of his dream tournament run.

If you ping me tmr, I won't be able to reply, but I will reply on 13th dw. Either way bros, we are battling it out this asia cup.

My prediction is for tmr is that if Haris comes at no 3 he will hit a century if Pakistan bats first.

If he comes at no 7 then likely a 11 ball 22 to 23.

If Oman bats first however then Haris wont get a chance to bat if he comes at no 7. If he comes at no 3 then he will hit 30 of 18 not out

I think if coach and captain have backed Haris we should continue with him. His performance has been very poor but let's give him a good run.

Also we need to be clear who are we considering Rizwan's replacement. Is it wicket keeper or opener? Because he cannot bat outside the top spot.

Rizwan and Babar had a long run where they failed in big games. Let's afford other players the same decency.

Zimbabwe level I meant instead of SA level*

Doesn't matter. It's Oman. Haris needs to perform against IND/AFG/SL

That 49 ball 55 by Rizwan, while chasing required rate of 8.5 per over, was a work of art.
And Rizwan is the Picasso of this art

“Sometimes cramp, sometimes acting”

“Me and Babar’s chemistry is physics and chemistry”.

“Ya tou win hai ya tou learn hai”

“Champion team never afraid of the results”

“Ab hum clapping karenghe jaise ke Hum champion hain”

Oh Yes is a Two

Asia Cup final: SL were 59-5 in 9 overs and reached 170

Rizwan was anchoring till the 17th over where Pakistan had lost just 2 wickets till the 15th over.
Asia Cup loss is solely on Rizwan’s shoulder. We don’t talk about it enough. He should’ve been booted out from the team for that innings.

As oppose to someone like Haris who would instead dig a hole.

How does Pakistan win 10 out of 14 games with Harris in the team?
Perhaps something to do with new captain and management, or playing easy teams thus far, certainly Haris has not contributed much other than often digging the hole for his team to get out by cameos from likes of the two Nawaz. We need to stop "nawazing" a free pass to Haris for a very long flop show, but this will have to hold till end of Asia Cup. Lets hope for his own good he mamages to put together two or three good innigs in the tournament, especially against good teams.
