Mohammad Rizwan - Wicket-keeping watch

Mohammad Rizwan wicketkeeping

He has been exceptional throughout the psl and was really good during Australia series in odi. Not to mention he has fit also and a hardworking guy while sarfraz is the opposite, his keeping is going down and his fitness is just bizarre

He can bat and can hit also but he is someone who needs time to settle and needs the assistance of youis on how to improve against spinners

If he could learn to bat we might have a good substitute keeper on our hands.

I'm not so convinced with his fitness. He doesn't seem to run as if he isn't carrying an injury.

Probably the most athletic fielder we have. His game isn’t power hitting and it’s unfortunate for him that our WK is also the captain.

Can be a good player if he improves his batting

No matter how good keeper he is, he should be kept away from the team until he learn how to bat.

Last I recall of him he was D I A B O L I C A L against spin. He reminded me of Usman Khawaja, had absolutely no clue which way the ball was spinning.

Comfortably the best keeper in the PSL. However his batting is a bit of a let down especially against spin.

Rizwan has always been a good keeper and he has improved too, so it shows he is working on his performances. I don't see how his batting is any worse than Sarfraz, who puts in a performance once in about 15 innings. Rizwan should be given a shot as a specialist keepers because I have no idea who Sarfraz is regarded as a keeper. He is a bit part batsman who is a bit part keeper.

Very tidy keeper.

He's playing in the PSL with a nasty back injury.

Looks shaep doesn't he.

A bundle of energy and very alert behind the stumps.

More fit and athletic than safraz. His keeping was never the issue. He got exposed against spin which lead to his exclusion. He is the best keeper in the country.

He won me by his keeping in aus series 2017 where he was just outstanding .hopefully he have improve his batting as he shown in pakistan A

I will not mind him in the team for Sarfraz , but we gave to groom another keeper who can bat.

Sarfraz is not fit enough to clean his shoes.

No need for such comments. Not so long ago, you were waiting for Sarfraz to come out of his balcony with the Champions trophy.

Anyhow, Sarfraz’s ban is a blessing in disguise. Rizwan already in good form from Pak A performances, I hope he bats early though it won’t be required today.

Try again, I’ve always been opposed to Sarfraz in ODIs from the very beginning. Go ahead and show me where I seriously supported him.

He has kept well whenever I've seen him.

Also has the potential to be a good test keeper as he has the ability to stand up to the stumps while Abbas like seam bowlers are bowling.

His real test is his batting form, last time he got a full series against Australia, he didn't perform well and didn't really challenge Sarfaraz. Also Adil kinda ripped him apart the one time he faced a leg-spinner and looked a total rabbit in the headlights against the googly.

Considering that England and India both have leg-spinners, it's going to be interesting to see if he remains in the world cup squad or makes any appearances in the first team.

Quality keeper. Batting wise yet to prove his mettle.

Agreed - Shameful comments from some.

If Rizwan just improves his judgement of where to stand to fast bowlers then he won't be too far off being the best Keeper in the World, just behind Saha, and on par with the likes of Foakes,QDK and Paine.

Dropped a crucial catch tonight.

Might prove very costly in the end.

Sometimes his concentration seems to be all over the place.

Talking to the batters, the bowlers, the fielders instead of concentrating on his own game.

He really lacks focus required for a WK in pressure situation.

That was a regular catch. Should have been taken.

Rizwan should focus more on his wicket keeping than his leadership skills.

He dropped Asalanka at a very important point. Ifti would had picked his wicket but Rizwan bottled it.

Rizwan did the same by dropping Glen Phillips in the 3 match series at home
