Majority of Pakistani cricketers are humble when they come in the National side but baat to tab hai when you remain same humble and down to earth after all the success. Have seen success getting to Pak players's many times.

Sarfraz is easily the most humble and down to earth Pakistani criketer I have seen. No fake media image, no big ego just a pure simple heart as he was in 2006 u-19 world cup.

Amongst non-Pakistani cricketers Kane Williamosn, Buttler and Hashim Amla imo.

Well the criteria should be world class cricketers that are also humble.

No one cares about the humbleness of sohaib maqsood.

IMO the first names that come into mind are Dravid and Amla.

Sarfraz is anything but humble. I have met him a few times. I'm sure many others here who have met him can testify that.

I think i know him much more than you.
You saw the sea of people outside his home after CT win, most were his mohalla mates and youngsters with whom Sarfraz still plays cricket even after becoming captain. Only a humble and people's man get such respect and admiration from his mohalla mates.

Bro we are talking about humble on the pitch and sarfraz is far from it shouting at team mates and having animated celebrations. Don't get me wrong I love the guy and his aggression but this is about humble none aggressive players on the pitch.

Bro agression is in his nature but please tell me a single captain who says sorry and apologies to his players for his on filed behavior. Even the guy apologized to Mir Hamza for what he did...

Ghussa ata hai Sarfraz ko I agree and he has admitted it himself. Admitting that you were a bit harsh amnd should have kept your cool, this is on aspect of humbleness in my definition!

Nope dont know him directly, but as Sarfi's fan you come to know that people in your circle knows him.. Ab to 12 saal ho gaye.

Cant disclose but I would just say that I have cousins both in Rawalpindi and Karachi who played club cricket in these cities.

What defines humble?

Humble on pitch= no over exaggerated celebrating , not over appealing, very calm in their approach towards sledging from other team or when team mates gets carried away always diffuse situation. Someone who is a good player but calm in his approach to any situation ie dhoni. basically someone who hardly ever loses there cool on pitch.

This is calmness, does not come under humbleness imo.
Dhoni aint that humble imo. Dravid was!

Bro what you are forgetting this is about players who are humble on the PITCH players who are very calm and hardly ever loose there cool whether fielding, batting, bowling, captaining.

Well , lets say , you won't know how great he is from his own mouth.

Wrong. Most great players won't blow their own trumpet, but that doesn't necessarily mean they r humble.

Take kohli as an example. He will never say such thing but he's notorious for his bad attitude, he's far from being humble. So no, there's something wrong with ur definition.

They both come hand in hand this is on pitch behaviour. Dhoni hardly ever over celebrated do you remember the last odi in the aane do series the whole Indian team was celebrating like they won a world cup in a dead rubber match yet dhoni was humble in victory.

Dravid, Inzi, AB, Root. If humble means not having airs about being superstars, these are my picks.

Forget Aane Do, his celebration after hitting a six to win the world cup was subdued too. However, he was never humble. Remember his hairstyles etc when he started?

What has hairstylist got to do with humbleness. :)

AB de Villiers
Kane Williamson
Joe Root

Inzi
Dravid
Lara
Amla
Dhoni
Kohli is also humble in a strange kind of way.
Azhar Ali
I see Aussies and Englishmen not getting any mentions.

Saeed Anwar is one player that comes to mind. Never once misbehaved on the field. Gem of a batsman and gem of a professional.

I thought I saw him hit Srinath with a bat in that WC QF 1996. Srinath got no explanation in return.

Most Indian batsmen have been/are humble: Rahul Dravid, SRT, Che Pujara, Ajinkya Rahane, Rohit Sharma, MSD, V V S Laxman

Few Indian bowlers who were/are humble: Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Javagal Srinath

On the opposite side of the spectrum we have Kohli, Yuvi, Bhajji, Sidhu, Gambhir, Sehwag....lot’s of Punjabis/North Indians

Is sehwag punjabi?

Rahul Dravid is the first name that comes to mind. Supremely modest for a man of his ability and cricketing knowledge.

David the first ONE in my mind
Misbah
Amla

I cant think of any fast bowler

I really don't care about the humility of players.

Score big runs, take bucketloads of wickets and go home. Don't care if you are a humble or obnoxious.

Therefore, I don't know why I am commenting on this thread.

Moeen Ali is probably the most humble, down to earth guy you'll ever see playing a sport at the international level. Not only will you never see him talk about how good he is but instead, he comes out and admits when he's been awful and how x, y and z are better players than him. Him humbleness is such that he makes the pressures of professional cricket feel trivial.

Additionally, he never sledges or overreact on the field or off it and no one has anything but good to say about him.

Others would be Amla (very similar to Moeen), Misbah (a rarity in Pakistan cricket) and Dravid (a rarity in Indian cricket).
