There is a reason why Watson used to be called names his days. Now he is a mature fella and all the sympathy is being flowered to him - such a touchy-feely response from some people.

I am not defending Imam but he is young and more prone to do this immature stuff (assuming if he even started it). People need to get off their high horse before blaming a person without knowing facts. This is coming from a person who does not agree with Imam's selection in the PCT.

Every human action takes about 7 years to reap its result and I am 100% sure we'll feel the second coming of Imran Farhat when that 7 year mark will be nearing its course - Because Hey! Watson has been known to have a bit of keera in him, when the opposition is batting. Has happened quite a bit now.

Imam should have been smarter than this, but I don't mind hin ripping into Watson like this. A non-issue really. People here have an issue with Pakistan players being soft or they have an issue with them being brash.

What Imam did was in the heat of the moment and the fact that he confirmed it was responsive action, it is perfectly justified.

Yes he is pretty good from what I've seen, Babar Azam is decent as well. Imam's uncle, the legendary Inzi was fantastic against the bouncer for such a big and heavy guy. He should give nephew some tips.

Imran Farhat had a good start when he formed good opening partnerships with Taufeeq in tests and Yasir in ODIs. He went downhill from there. Imam has only improved since his debut. There is no reason to compare him with Farhat. Imam first proved everyone wrong who were against his selection in the ODIs and then he did it again in T20s.

he was never likable but he is not a 'nobody', problem with Imam ul Haq is he looked like an idiot with the sendoff, and sendoff is always in poor taste its not sledging and Imam ul Haq so far is not likable as a player or person. He maybe scoring runs but he will be figured out soon and have a bad patch and will be given a over extended run because he is a ****** and the problem with his batting is he has hardly played any match winning innings, cannot close out games like all of our other batsmen and and is not pretty to watch.

You are making Amir Sohail sound like Ponting. He was a decent opener who had his moments, but he was largely carried by his vastly superior partner (Saeed Anwar).

Nevertheless, someone with only 10 hundreds in his entire career is not a standard that someone like Imam should aspire to reach, and neither is the ability to hit fast bowlers for a six a qualification for showing aggression on the field.

The arbitrary stipulations to justify send-offs are quite funny though. From he hasn't achieved anything yet to he can't hook pacers to the stands. Let's cut to the case and admit that we were not happy with what he did because we don't like him.
