I can't understand the real reason behind these brain farrts and collapses. I think it's probably because we don't rotate strike and that tuk tuk creates lot of pressure to go for big shots and lose wickets.
 
Its not a batting collapse problem anymore

We are producing absolute garbage batsmen incapable of competing at international level
 
Pakistan cricket is a disaster now, done supporting these losers.

Complete waste of time and emotions. We will soon fall down to Associate level in Limited Overs and the signs are already there; limping across the finish line against UAE of all teams.

With the so called "best bowling in the world" in the world on a helpful greentop,why dos Pakistan need more than 110 to defend?It is like a team with best batting line up on a flat batting track always cries for 120 to chase at most ,double standards and nothing else.A best bowling line up in the world should be able to defend 100 odd in these wickets

Another collapse by Pakistan.. not the worse in Pakistan's history, but it had a characteristic Pakistani trait about it, against a very below par Windies bowling line up.. Mickey Arthur will be fuming!!!
 
Here we go again... Now New Zealand will win this match again... pathetic... Azhar and Shafiq should be dropped for not going on and scoring 200s when the team needed that from them...

In a way I'm sort of content with this collapse :danish in the sense where we'll find out if Pakistan's batsmen have learned from the 1st test, assuming Pakistan bowl out New Zealand for a lead of 150-200.
 
This is pathetic. I blame Shafiq as he played an absolutely pathetic shot which opened up the floodgates
 
Too many duds. How do you expect guys like Sarfraz and Shafiq to survive on these lively wickets? Even Azhar and Imam have been inconsistent.

The only temporary solution is adding Shadab and Faheem. We are forced to make these changes. Like [MENTION=132916]Junaids[/MENTION] said it allows us to get 50-60 extra as batting then gets easier.
 
Pakistan's Test match batting is an embarrassment, I mean it's an utter joke and not fit enough to grace this great game. There's no point saying throw this guy out or throw this guy although I would like to see the back of Shafiq. The next guy is just as useless as the other.

Obviously, this stems from the batting culture (or lack of) and playing on UAE pitches where we're unable to develop any semblance of how to bat to win games. First priority should be to bring our home games back to Pakistan so at least we can develop some quality batters and not these muppets masquerading as Test match batsmen.

Pakistan batsmen are flat track bullies. They need to be playing against 2nd tier attacks like Bangladesh or Sri Lanka for these guys to score big. Against attacks like England or Australia they do well to get past the 20's or 30's as we saw today. It's a shame because they have decent bowlers these days, but they never have much of a target to defend.

It's sad this lot isn't even capable of scoring 30-40 runs consistently. I mean with unlimited balls to play how is that not possible?

But, good news is, lead is now worth 244 runs. They have given the bowlers something to defend.

Given there is no immediate test cricket after this series if we end up losing the series Azhar should retire, Shafiq to be dropped and Imam drafted for third test in place of Abid.

A domestic tournament or QEA trophy should be conducted in this period when IPL will be going on and its simple as that the top performers of that tournament finds direct route into the batting order as replacements for Azhar, Asad and Abid.
 
Let's say I work in Sales. Have done for 20+ years. My goal is to sell X amount of my product each month to achieve my target.

Now some months I have people queuing to buy, my sales technique flies and I over achieve. I am awarded salesman of the month and am lauded as brilliant.

Some months I work hard and just about hit my targets.

Mostly though I struggle. I make bad calls...fail to close easy deals and struggle to chase big clients.

This has been a repeating pattern for 20 years with different managers all talking about how good I am when everything falls into place but they never can tell how things will end up by the end of the month with me..

Does that make me mercurial...or lucky when I sell big?

It certainly doesn't make me a professional because I've learnt nothing over all of these years which would help me to maintain the high level of sales I achieve every so often and progress to bigger things. I've learnt no techniques from my peers that I use to push my career forward. And I've learnt nothing from the months I didn't achieve to ensure I don't repeat the same mistakes again.

Now apply this analogy to the Pakistan Cricket Team.

Mercurial or just unprofessional?

Remember...I'm not talking about talent. Just pure professionalism.

8 wickets for 36 runs in 80 balls.

Mother of all collapse has to be West Indies is collapsing from 165/2 to 202 all out while chasing 207 in world cup semi final against Australia at Mohali. That was Shane warne. This is his protege Kuldeep. Kuldeep learnt a lot from Shane warne so much so he dedicated one of his 5 wicket haul to Shane warne.

I wonder how bad of a captain you have to be to injure and finish the careers of your bowlers.
