Man this team is far worse than one we had in 90s. At least back then Tendulkar alone would win matches for us, here it seems everyone playing for their average

They need like 100 runs in 7 overs. Like i said before India came out to bat, will lose by 50runs or more.

our team is built on failures. Except 2 death bowlers and Kohli none of the rest would make it into other nations playing XI. Tells you we pick players based on reputation and not current form and performance. Its time to give up on Indian team.

With Dhoni on for so long we can not chase 140+ , this was a 17 over chase, such an awesome wicket,2nd inning was just a formality, Damn!

Oh wait we have Rohit 'Tuk Tuk' Sharma and Shikar 'Leg side Hack' Dhawan holding up opening slots.

Playing the same garbage player over and over again will not make this garbage team into some World beaters.

The openers play well from time to time, the others are new comers need to be given time but dhoni needs to kicked out bcz these so called legends don't understand the term retiring.

Appreciate the effort of Kiwis first.They batted really well first and now bowling really good.And regarding new players, we see how 'soopershtar' Iyer faired. It is not easy to replicate domestic performances at international level.Though i beleive Dhoni could be replaced by Karthik as I am not a big fan of part-time keepers.
 
Pandya has been under pressure ever since the entire batting responsibility came on him while others layed ducks for fun
 
Would kiwis reclaim the no.1 spot in the t20 team Rankings after today’s win ?

Finished almost 3 years ago, has lost India 20+ games single handedly in last 3 years, was a dhoni fan but this sort of inning hurts, there are better players than him even in Vijay Merchant sides TBH

Take Kohli out of this team and we will struggle to beat even Zimbabwe. Next few months will be pretty tough because we are going to play away. Whenever we play away all bad things starts to click at the same time.
 
I have seen Santner drop 3 dollies in this series, poor catcher.
 
Dhoni hitting boundaries now but clearly the game is gone. Why did he take so long? This might even make his strike rate look good in the end but the ones who watched the match know that he played an absolute horror of an innings.
 
Dhoni needs to retire from T20i's.. We need to get Samson or Pant and groom them for T20i's WC in 2020

He can still launch length balls to oblivion but now bowlers know that and they bowl short to him.He is anyway half the player he was at this age and should retire from T20s asap.

Wrist slitting is hallmark of Pakistani fans, Indians can never come close on that front. Bangladesh fans are some 8th wonder of the world though, even with so much failures they are always optimistic and worship their players like they are demigods.

He retired from tests only when he knew that he had no godfather to protect him anymore and was about to be kicked out. Refuses to retire from other forms living on credit of his captaincy and ancient performances costing India from time to time, that seems like a definition of selfish.

Rahul is a part-time keeper. You need to be good at your main job first.He can replace the hack Sharma at the top though.Kartik is miles ahead in keeping and batting compared to hacks like Pant who cant put bat on ball against mediocre A team.

Thats exactly why he is SELFISH. He is holding onto his place longer than he should've. He should be the first to know how hard it is to get into Indian team without connections as he himself struggled alot to get in the team. Now he is doing the exact samething what has been the case for generations

Dhoni need to realised his time is up. Every good thing comes to an end. Unfortunately, Indian cricketers never realized that and then are disposed off only to damage their legacy. All the hard work he did for Indian team is now slowly been forgotton....

Cant believe some fans are actually defending DHONI. I was his biggest fan during 2007-2013 but now he is playing as specialist keeper and perhaps mentoring Kohli. He can mentor team without actually playing.

DUDE this is freaking T20. Latham is also a makeshift Keeper. You do realise he keeps for RCB. He is not gonna be any worse than Karthick. At least Rahul knows how to bat in T20s unlike Dhoni and Karthick.
 
Its funny how same Indian posters were taking names out of hat and how the next kid is going to solve India's batting problems. Shreyas Iyes was one of those names, but Iyer shahab came one-down and played 21 balls and only scored 23 runs while the team was chasing a score of nearly 200. India lost the game right there. Kohli is the only batsman in India that scores consistently.

Not much impressed by his keeping in IPL. And we have already seen how newzealand's part-time keeper messed up Dhoni's easy stumping.And Rahul's IPL strike rate is 125.64 out of 35 matches which is close to Kartik's 125.94 from 152 matches. And he he had his career's highest strike rate in last IPL season.

For once, I agree with you:amir3. Indian fans were throwing so much shade on poor Jadhav and Manish Pandey and claiming we have some array of 'soopershtars' waiting to unleash hell fire.But reality is much diffferent from that. International cricket>>> IPL slogging.
 
Our bygone Dhoni is way better than the Hack Pandya. Atleast Dhoni can take singles and rotate the strike even if he can't launch every ball to six. But this hack Pandya is so over-confident and lacks technique.
