New Zealand (240/5) defeat Bangladesh (236/9) by 5 wickets to advance to semi-finals of ICC Champions Trophy 2025

This champion trophy matches are very boring and one side affairs . Bangladesh is pathetic team who don't deserve to play in this champion trophy .

Didn't log on to watch this game today since Bangladesh js a boring team, NZ will easily win so skip

2 paced pitch and apparently , it was cloudy and there is a breeze at the ground, so less chance of dew

Bangladesh have no excuses if they lose this. If not for their own chances , at least for their Pakistan brothers whose welfare they often care about more than their own.
 
Seems like even the Gods arent on Pakistans side with this useless team of Babar, Riz and Shaheen.

Pakistan to be knocked out in a few hours.

No average Pakistani gives a damn about this tournament anymore. If you see people turn up for the Pakistan-Bangladesh game its only because they bought those tickets in advance. If you are a Pakistani pulling out your calculator and calculating's chances if A loses to B and C gets abducted by aliens then you are an absolute fool who has learned nothing from the past.

What a pathetic tournament its turnout where Half of the games will be dead rubber.

Actually Pakistan has a history of sneaking through rounds by those mathematical anomalies.

But this time, I doubt there is any card except the joker laying around for these set of 11 players.

Joke is on the captain who leads the country and is more adept at comedy rather than cricket.
 
Not enough. Needed 270 to make a match. BD middle order batting let them down. Two most experienced players like Mushfiq and Mahmudullah got out softly. Not good from senior pros. Both need to be kicked out if they dont retire after CT25.

I think those mathematical anomalies in the past have masked the rubbish cricket we played in a tournament and created the fallacy that we were a good team. In T20, its okay. I don't care. Because that format itself cannot be taken too seriously. But how long will we keep hoping for the sun to shine on us while doing nothing of substance on our own?

Joke is on the entire team, including the captain who brought us to this point.
 
Too many dots in the inning again. Lack of fire power doesnt mean you cant score runs by rotate the strike well. 170+ dots, if only if they reduced that by 30-40 BD could’ve had 270 today. Do they understand percentage cricket? I bet not.

This is Rawalpindi. I think they needed 300+.
 
From the start BD had they should’ve got 270+. Mushfiqur and Mahmdullah need to hang their heads in shame. Both still in the squad playing due to past reputation. Time is over, time to go. I can’t wait for both these two pre-2010 players to go.

Tbh, Mahmudullah might be the best batsman in this sorry looking line-up.
 
I hope Bangladesh beat Nzl so that India can lose to Nzl to ensure Pak/Bangla will get knocked out :dhoni

Otherwise PP will get boring in the next week or so.
 
C’mon Bangladesh win this so I can remain on cricket forum or else I would have to go back to time pass forum and get political
and diplomacy lessons from Capt and King from Bradford.

Bangladesh giving their best here. Don’t want to criticize a low hanging fruit but their bowling looks better than Pakistan- both fast and spin. However they will get smacked by Pakistan badly in the dead rubber.

One difference i notice is they don't go for glory balls like Pakistan did. THey are defending even lesser total here.
 
Bangladesh playing well and not going down without a fight. Apart from the home team and Afghanistan, rest all the teams have played well so far.

Afghanistan will get owned by England too. They can’t play Wood, Archer, Carse.

Pak will give mega belt treatment to Bangaldesh in the last match.
 
Rachin and to some extent Darryl Mitchell are graceful to watch. Others are not that graceful. Most players in the world look agricultural these days.
