What's new

New Zealand (249 & 140/2) defeat India (217 & 170) by 8 wickets to win WTC Final

Cover the field and slow it down.

If rossy gets comfortable, it can be recalibrated.

8 crucial runs gone.

Bring Jaddu now.

He thinks he will come across as aggressive by hurling abuses at opposition....and people will ignore his pathetic captaincy

He is only fooling himself. Not even indian fans like this fake aggression let alone opposition fans. :inti

This match has sealed what little benefit of doubt and liking I had for Kohli the test captain.

It's all gone now.

Because of him, I don't support Indian team in LOIs.

Only in tests.

I won't forget his captaincy in this test anytime soon.

Brilliant from Ashwin need someone at the other end to help him out.

So many short wide ones in the last few overs. NZ have missed out on a few but terrible bowling

As I said earlier even before the first NZ wicket fell that Taylor is the key wicket here. He is now taking the game away. :inti

If Jaddu wasn't supposed to be bowled in tandem wih Ash, why was he even played?

Pathetic Kohli!

What role did kohli have in Indian collapse today except for his own wicket?

Must say Bumrah has been very disappointing this Test. Thought he would be a handful here the way he usually attacks the stumps. Can't recall a single yorker.

2 experienced guys in the middle for NZ.

Inching closer to the target.

Jadeja has been terrible so far. Ashwin exceptional but a really poor effort apart from him this innings by the Indian bowlers

Wow! The decision to have no spinners in NZ's XI has worked for them. I thought for a moment that they would've missed Santner today.

I think Taylor should retire from test cricket if they win this. He is 37 and there won't be a bigger occasion than this. :inti

Simple drop.

Pujara should have caught that easily.

Last night sunny gavaskar said India should declare after scoring 300

Taylor and Williamson partnership about to win the inaugural World Test Championship final. Poetic

Ross taylor may have played his last and best innings of his career. What an achievement it will be for Newzealand to win this. I am so happy for kane williamson, Hopefully that will erase the 2019 WC final pain.

Congratulations to New Zealand for the greatest test win of all-time.

NZ have proved that they are comfortably the second best team of this generation and superior to Australia and England as they beat the best team in conditions favourable to them.

For mine India really messed up by naming the playing XI very early, especially knowing that there was going to be rain about for the most part. Inclusion of Siraj would have made a lot more cricketing sense in these conditions I'd reckon. Going in with 2 spinners was always risky and a bit too overconfident.

Conditions was favourable to both teams, as both teams bowled out each other with excellent pace bowling. India was favourites here with the batting line up they had. But somehow they are bottles in Final. Its like Pakistan bottles infront of India in WC

Bumrah bowling his best spell of the match.

Shame it's come too late.

Bumrah needs to make something happen. Now or never.

Yes, India bottles Vs NZ in ICC tournaments.

Is virat Kohli manhoos.

I don't know what manhoos means, but if it's bad luck charm, then yes he's the biggest.

Loses almost every toss, team under him chokes badly in knockouts. I'm pretty sure if he had been present, we wouldn't have won the last series in Australia under his captaincy.

Manhoos means unlucky.
