New Zealand (402 & 110/2) secure a comprehensive 8 wicket win against India (46 & 462) in the first Test to lead the 3-match series 1-0

He is not talented
He is also a mental midget
He also should be playing. Ranji trophy

Not for India.
All formats.
I don't know how come he is exempted from playing domestic cricket.

That's the problem with BCCI's selective leeway of allowing some of Indian cricketers skip playing domestic cricket.

With the amount of technical deficiencies which have crept up in Rohit and Kohli's game, it'd have done them wonders had they played domestic cricket along with budding Indian cricketers.

Lol, they can't and won't skip IPL but can skip domestic cricket at will. Not just the domestic cricket but also the international cricket whenever they get too 'tired'. This is the kind of selective attitude towards cricket which has prevented us from winning more trophies during last decade or so. Winning 1 T20 WC won't change that yet.

That tells you all you want to know about where IPL and domestic cricket stand in India vis-a-vis the priorities of Indian cricket establishment.

Will tell u why they don't want to play. Cause they will get exposed by our domestic bowlers. That's why.

Hubris much? I guess India need more 46s, 36s, and 152/0s to reduce hubris of Indian fans.

NZ are quite capable of winning a series against India. NZ whitewashed India last time India toured NZ.
Before doing your usual gung-ho becoz of the match situation...

you still have'nt commented on the hubris of BGT 2018-19 played in Aus and BGT 2020-21 played in Aus....Leave alone the BGT series played in india for last so many years...

Nice bit of coping mech with the usual cherry picking.

New Zealand always do a good job of giving India a reality check whenever they get overconfident.

They have done it 5-6 times over the last decade across all formats.
a certain team gets reality checks every test they played in Aus, SAF, Nz lately....i cant even recall the 0-whatever consecutive the current record is....
i mean the last time they even 'DREW' a test there- half of the PP'ers here were not even born...

Reality check...come again?

Forecast after 12 looks really bleak , if NZ want to win then must use 2 hours to finish match.
Rohit deserves to lose this match bcz of his Stupid Captaincy and team selection, the sight of KL still playing for India after disasters is 8th Wonder of world

I think if play starts whenever, they will take the aggressive approach to finish match, will go for the bowling from the very start....

Looking at Simon doull and Murli kartik commentating, literally walking on the crease....

I guess you should never allow any commentrators to actually walk on the pitch/playing area as this might damage pitch more...

Let them commentate all they want from the fringes of the pitch...

Don't bother
Just play along.

We are the worst team

36
Now 46
We can come baxk from this. At all.

Rishabh was struggling at the end of his innings to run the two's. this was because of the injury/impact to his knee - the same place which he had damaged in his serious car accident.

from memory i think he turned down at least 2 or 3 times to run two....when you consider he got 99....how tragic is this in itself!!!

Jee whiz...he could have got his 100 earlier and then turned on the real beast mode.....

But then that is cricket...a game of glorious what If's....

Just looking overall at the way Jassi and Rishabh have come back from injuries/setbacks....that is inspirational in itself....

Just looking at the way Rishabh plays, the twinkle in his eye, the ever present smile, the cheeky impishness, and i dont think he is a serial sledgeabuser or spouting invectives at the drop of a hat, i feel he plays and enjoys what he is doing....i feel he is exemplary the way he carries himself, for young kids to emulate....

A real super star of the game .....

Damn that's not good man. Any updates?

Is he out of the series?

Now I am worried

A lot of things going right in Indian cricket - seamers, spinners, allrounders , high intent batters.

But we never seem to produce a high release point bowler like Will O Rourke. Since Ishant, all our bowlers are short

Need that variation. Mayank hopefully.

160 target would have made game intresting .now not enough rins .

NZ to win by nine wickets

Good start this. Hopefully, we can nick a few more in next few overs.

India have got early wicket , their tail is up now. Another wicket , Kiwis will be under big pressure

Bumrah looking dangerous , tough to score , Kiwis need couple of cameos here to ease the pressure

I dont see NZ losing this game. This is too low a target and India would need a miracle to win from here.

It’s pathetic that you had to bring up Pakistan’s limited overs win against India something that happens once every five years. And about that 36/9? You know what happened after that. It became the turning point of the millennium, India came back and won the series in a place where no subcontinent team other than India will ever win a single Test for the rest of your lifetime, I’ll bet on that.

As for New Zealand, they aren’t capable of winning a series in India not them or any team for that matter in your lifetime. They got lucky with washed-up veterans at the right time and in the right conditions, yet they’re still struggling to win with a 350-run lead. Let’s not forget they recently lost to a lower-ranked Sri Lanka, conceding 600 and getting bowled out for 80.

They were fortunate to get a damp pitch and overcast conditions, thanks to Rohit’s poor decisions. But it won’t happen again lightning doesn’t strike twice.

NZ will create history today, will this be their greatest ever triumph in Test cricket

It's ok. Nz will win series this time.

If India were destined to win, one of those Bumrah scorchers might have scored India a wicket or two... but alas... :danish

amazing how Bumrah is so consistent in his lengths .. at same time moves the ball with consistent pace.. hardly gives you any loose ball

NZ need to attack and win ASAP, they will not get this type of chance again.
Most Favourable seam bowling condition, and then Stupid opposition captain and his team selections. In the next 2 tests they will not get this conditions and mostly their fast bowlers will be average with out conditions.

Bumrah is bowling very well , but at some point of time India will change bowling , bring in spin.

Bumrah is so so unlucky .

NZ is in dominating position .
there are many bowlers that swing the ball at high pace like Bumrah but what makes him exceptional is that he does that with consistent line and length.. other bowlers would usually spray it around and go for runs too. but not with Bumrah.. he can pitch the ball where he wants to all his spell without taking foot off gas

NZ really deserve to win this match... would be a shame if weather denied them a win here...
The stadium has excellent drainage system. It would have to rain all day for the match to be called off. This very rarely happens in BLR it seems (saw some comments on X)

So basied umpiring. He is not going to give any close decision in favour of india when he cant give Plumb LBW .

This is getting interesting now... 2 down and still 72 needed on day 5 pitch.

Yes ,last 10 years only England and Aus managed to win 2 test each ,if NZ miss this opportunity I don't think they can get this type of luck again .

Eight wickets win is likely for NZ just like WTC final .

Ravindra score back to back boundries.

This is Rachin's home ground.. He could very well score winning runs today

Indian crowd should at least appreciate good shots.. no need for deathly silence. At least they’ve grown up & not burning stands.

Atleast they are cheering for india unlike in pakistan where only teams and security person's were / are watched the match.

Did'nt c u @ all in the NZ first innings when indian crowds appreciated conway, RR and southee innings and boundaries....

I still can't get over the bounce on this wicket... ball still bouncing like an Aus/SA type wicket.

Weather we win or loose here...the Collateral is going to be Jassi....

7 tests coming up in the next 10 weeks or so...its going to be a massive tightrope balancing his work load and no Shami in this series is such a big factor...

I hope he pulls up well and fit after end of today's game.
