God this is a beautiful ground, must be pure delight to be watching cricket there.

NZ should either play Elliot or drop him from the squad. No reason to have a 36 year old player warming the bench

Dilshan's done a creditable job of keeping things tight, but SL will have wanted a couple of wickets more at this stage as NZ have a long tail with Milne at No 8.

What have been top speeds of Chameera and Pradeep today ?

My Gut feeling is that Milne will hit 153 to 156 kph today if he doesn't break down.
Aman bro kindly update also Henry's pace.

Pakistan will struggle against NZ in ODI's.

Big feeling.

Long tail? All of them can bat.

Milne hasn't really been bowling that quick recently.

Expecting his fastest to be between 150-152.

Guptill reaches hundred and I feel a phainta is coming. How can you not pick Vandersay on a slow paced wicket like this ?!

Perera totally ineffectual today.

Needed a main spinner. Thought SL was done with the 2 part time bowler bs since Attapattu.

I don't know about that, the only big hitters after this are Ronchi (terrible form) and Santner.

A few wickets here for SL and we might limp to 300.

LOL at the heading : Top run getters for NZ against all countries

Why can't you just write top run getters instead?

Strange that Stephen Fleming only averaged 32 in ODI's. You'd expect a lot better from such a classy batsman. He got the most runs for NZ though.

Why can't get a new WK? Ronchi is out of form for like an year now.Aren't there any good keepers in domestic?? Aman

Am getting a strong feeling in my stomach that Pakistan will do well in the ODI series. (or it could be the burrito I had for dinner, either one.)

No Younis, nor do we have to be forced to play Afridi.

Squad is on point this time around more or less. And who knows, maybe the change of mindset we saw in the 4th ODI by Azhar and his men in batting could be the turning point. As they say, you don't always know that you are part of a legendary time until it is gone.

Yeah that was harsh, I'll rephrase that - if SL had dismissed Guptill/Taylor by now, then they're left with Ronchi who hasn't batted much and has been ordinary as of late, Santner hasn't done much with the bat in ODIs as of yet and then you can get at the lower order guys who can slog a few at the death but you don't want them batting more than 5-10 overs.

Guptill for a while wasn't hitting the spinners cleanly which makes it all the more baffling why SL haven't selected Vandersay today.

T20 line up is easy,

Worker in for Latham and Elliot in for Nicolls.

So that tailender is out now.Don't know why Aman was getting hyper over his selection, looks nothing special

Actually looks quite classy, some of the situations he's come in haven't been ideal for him to show his wares.

Our lower middle order has looked quite ordinary this series with Elliot and Anderson missing.

Is there any good young wicketkeeper in NZ setup? For how long they will hang on Ronchi?

I wouldn't make any predictions based on this series.

NZ are getting 2 first choice players back for the series who will immediately strengthen the side.

Worker will also be a big improvement from Latham.

Not really. Tom Latham can keep and BJ Watling is a good bat but nether fill the finisher role that hesson likes rochi for. Once they get Anderson and Elliot back to full fitness I can see rochi being on very thin ice

Yeah but we have an Amir. :afridi : tonystark:

Ross Taylor always looks so unassuming and then plays a big hand out of nowhere.

Did exactly that vs us last time we toured.

He is like a left handed Maqsood :farhat

Ultimate jinx :afridi

But I've said it this whole series, NZ has the best lower order in ODIs, everyone knows how to bat, there are no tailenders.

Santner has a kink in his action. Needs to be called for testing

Simon Doul was saying his action isn't as it was before back injury. He was saying he isn't trusting his back and it's natural.
