Good question, what would you have done if you were CS and your head is on the line in a paid job. People are bashing Wahab, but I am watching Shaheen as well. In the 9 balls he has played, Haider hasn’t scored a single run through off side; least said about Abdullah & Khusdil is better....

PAK youngsters also has to justify their spot. Being young is an opportunity, not privilege.
 
We played way too much cricket on our home conditions. From national t20 cup, Zim series and then psl. These players just got stunned by the conditions especially the younger ones.

They were obviously not prepared for these conditions. The same players would have done well in Pakistan. You have to consider it's their first overseas tour. They should learn from this

pick any version of Pak team which did well...
they wer never united..
but wer motivated and Filled with passion..
they used inter rivalry for outperforming each other.
but this bunch just sucks ..

Probably the most boring T20 match/crowd in the history of the game. They have a full crowd but no atmosphere
 
Shoaib Malik will be back and deservedly so.

Never supported Hafeez and Malik but atleast they have the Akkal to play cricket.

These youngsters are brainless. You can have all the talent and technique in the world but it's temperament which makes you a competent cricketer.

Where is the great Haider Ali? Glorified leg side hack as I said weeks ago.

Without a doubt the match was lost by the batsmen in both games. But atleast we saw some fight in the first match even though it was clear we weren't going to win. Today it just seems like no even wants to try and make it challenging and give some contest to the Kiwi batters.
It is embarrasing how below par we are in all 3 domains of the game.
 
pakistan fast bowling is plain , no use of change of pace. Use of angles and crease. You got to ask waqar what has he been doing to keep in touch with modern day cricket?
 
Saved some embarrassment by bowling Wahab only for 1 over.

I don’t understand the liking for this poor averaged bowler at 35 yrs of age.

His pace is useless when he just give runs and doesn’t take wickets, it has taken so many matches for the Pak think tank to lose before they drop him forever.

The 14 day quarantine where they were locked up, unable to train definitely has contributed to this but i am more annoyed at the team management i.e. Misbah and Waqar and Younis Khan. With an inexperienced team but a star studded team management, they need to show their effect which they are failing to do at this point in time.

The only thing Waqar knows how to do is to instruct pacers to run 50 laps of the ground. Doubt he contributes anything else.

Only Mickey Arthur realised it and dropped him. Again Amir wouldn't have done bad here, Misbah's grudge against him may cost us lot of games.

Hope some drastic changes are made and we see some exciting new batsmen from Pakistan. Youngsters really haven't done justice to their selection. Fakhar comes back immediately once he recovers and I think Sharjeel is a good fit top open the innings with him. Two master blasters opening the innings with Babar aand Hafeez coming in, bowling line up will fear, just need to find a pandya type slogger

Exactly. It’s been a year now, did the bowlers improved. Yes improved their run up to the crease.

How about wickets? Nothing. :moyo2

Yes indeed, he did win a tournament CT17 dropping him. May be that is why he is dropped. At least under MA Pakistan weren’t losing this bad. Now expect some dropping of youngsters and playing Ifthikar instead.

But still the think tank can’t figure out that he is finished. Misbah lol did even asked Wahab to come out of test retirement shows what Misbah wants and like for Pakistan

I am one of the biggest Malik and Hafeez haters but atleast they have a brain.

Sick of these village cricketers. No temperament or akkal whatsoever. They don't know how to play cricket.

To hell with talent and technique ********.
 
Seeing as the next game is a dead rubber might as well make changes, for me:

1. Haider Ali
2. Sarfraz Ahmed (wk)
3. Abdullah Shafique
4. Muhammad Hafeez
5. Khushdil Shah/Hussain Talat
6. Imad Wasim
7. Shadab Khan
8. Usman Qadir
9. Muhammad Hasnain
10. Shaheen Afridi (ideally rest him)
11. Haris Rauf
 
I expect another new set of openers for the 3rd t20.

Suddenly when Babar gets injured , I know it is a major setback but look at the think tank they are all over the place lol. Fun watching their rickshaw man tactics.

How many games have Malik/Hafeez played and how many have these “village” cricketers played?
 
Absolutely shocking performance by Pakistan bar Hafeez. No planning at all, seems like everyone else just came to NZ on holiday. Where are all the people that always criticised Hafeezs selection. I said this when he was dropped that he still makes the pak T20s and odi team on merit. If a 40 year old can do it why can’t the other batsman use their brains rather than throwing their wickets away. He takes an over to get in which is fine if you can make up for it like that. The way the youngsters are performing even Malik makes the t20 team on merit, atleast he can stay at the crease, rotate singles and play himself in before hitting the big shots. Wahab needs to be dropped for good now. Don’t understand this from Misbah. Says he wants to play youngsters but continues playing Wahab after wasting Amir. Go Misbah go Waqar you have already done a lot of damage to Pakistan cricket.

You could argue for a dropping or experiment of Hussain Talat for Shafique, Sarfraz to replace Rizwan as opener.
 
A team of relu kattas and undercooked newbies led by a worst relu kstta ever.
They gonna lose 9/10 times against top sides

PSL is a T20 league. Not sure what relevance test cricket has here but or what it's worth we haven't benen smashed into oblivion like minnows in Australia for the past 25 years. :)
