At last after the whipping that we have recieved throughout this series its time to fight back and put these Kiwi's in their backside #bleedblue #ishantbunnies

You beat me to making this thread :91:

I was getting ready to post dead on at 9.00PM GMT.

As for the game, the first session will go a long way in determining the outcome of the game. If India can go through losing only two wickets max, they'll feel comfortable.

NZ on the other hand will want 4/5 wickets in the first session.

:)) New Zealand need quick wickets early otherwise they are in deep sh..

India trailing by 92 runs..
Pitch report says a lot more brown hue to it, which means more pacy stuff..

Hoping for a cracking day of cricket, which ll prolly decide the course of this match :)

another four by Ishanth..
Current Partnership: 52 runs off 73 balls

Dhawan on 94, cruising his way to 100... He's not getting out today on for a double hundred.

Dhawan out after a wonderful knock.

Time for Rohit to stepup. Won't be easy for him.

Pathetic from Nohit.

Gifting his wicket away to a harmless ball.

When will this idiot realize the importance of his wicket?

India is not going to get a big lead.

Indian batsmen are hell bent on giving the advantage away to Kiwis.

India at most might get 100-130 run lead.

Bad luck for Dhawan. Looked set for a ton. Horrible from Rohit, gave his wicket away.

Just watching the game now, Wow haven't seen a wicket this green since last NZ tour of India in 2002 a lot of bounce and pace........ Wicket def looks quicker than the Safrican ones.......

I am afraid, I am losing faith on Rohit completely.

This guy is so lazy and does not value his wicket. It was a very very loose shot.

Who cares about elegance when the man himself does not care about his wicket.

Change of cricket ball here, if it starts swinging around corners, India will have kittens.

Rohit should be sent after Jadeja. Atleast we ll know there aint anybody reliable after Jaddu.
Enough of laziness being called as elegance!

Some women brought knitting kit to the match.
No wonder Test cricket is in decline.

That is a pretty silly analysis/reasoning to say the least.

Hardcore fans like it no matter how boring the match gets.

If you want to attract newer generation of fans who have a lot of better options to entertain themselves, these long boring periods in Test matches will not help.

Just see how many posters on PP participate in discussions when an ODI or T20 is played compared to a Test match.

And since when did they started watching the match with their hands? Apart from that, there could be tons of reasons for knitting while watching.

I agree with the idea that new rules could make test matches more interesting, but just cuz a random lady was seen with knitting pins, this sort of a lamenting post comes out?

I enjoy a test match like a fine wine. I dont need to rush to a forum to start tapping on my keyboard.

I only used the women knitting as a token of boredom that has crept into the match.

It was entertaining as long as Dhawan and Ishant were batting. Once Dhwan got out, it became pretty dull.

I wont be surprised if you have never watched a test match live

What's happened to the commentators? I cant hear them anymore

NVM they were just quiet i guess

People do all sorts of things in Tests. Sunbake, doze off occasionally, play around on their iPhones, get drunk, play beer games, chat with their friends, sing. You're there the whole day. Why can't they knit? When you're there you need to occupy yourself if nothing much is happening. Remember they don't have as good a view as people watching on TV. So it's more about soaking in the atmosphere and keeping yourself occupied.

Honestly never been to an international cricket match.

I did watch Ranji matches though back when I was a kid.

I have watched 7 . Trust me its not easy how ever a hardcore fan you are , you need other stuffs to keep yourself occupied . The lady with the knit just came prepared , so most likely has done this before too .

Ozgod summed it better , but in the SC we cant sunbake or get drunk , so you can images its eben more difficult.

How is wagner getting away bowling so wide ? Clear no balls

I hear you on the sunbaking part but you can't drink alcohol in stadiums in the SC?

Boult nearly injures himself fielding at the boundary...clumsy fool

India blowing the advantage royally.

For once the bowlers show up and our batsmen decide to play like mad men.

That seems to be the chronic problem.

1) We always will stoop down to the level of the opposition if there is a possibility.
2) When bowlers perform, the batsman behave like tailenders. Otherwise, bowlers never disappoint in getting spanked around.

NZ needs to get rid of Dhoni. He is playing like ODIs here and if he stays there for 10-15 overs then it will be very costly.

So why is IPL different? Is it different laws governing consumption of alcohol? Aren't the same stadiums used?

Not in IPL too they do this in one season IPL but they pay heavy for that

Nope in IPL too
Even we have censor on showing cigaratte, alcohol commercial on tv
:wasim

Yea I understand the cigarette part as that hasn't been allowed in OZ for decades. But alcohol advertising too? Whatever does Vijay Mallya do for Kingfisher then?

U know here if in movie actor is showing drinking or smoking then that movie get A or U/A certificate from censor board. But still i am living in Nagpur who has biggest chain of bear bar, wine shop, country wine in asia

Any lead less than 150 should be considered pretty pathetic from Indians.

Hopefully jaddu contributes with a bat big time. He is more of a batsman in this test.

kiwis need something special before tea, another hour of this and they might be out of it.

The annoying Indian fans who keep shouting Ajju Ajju at Rahane are pissing me off :Akhtar

Consumption is normal but advertisement ban

Oh right it's odd that alcohol is banned om public celebrations thought that would be where you'd drink the most
