That was a terrible innings - now basically we're stuck with 8 wickets remaining (assuming Amir can't bat due to injury) with 2 tailenders (Irfan & Wahab). The remaining players who can wield the willow has Maqsood in them so you can count him out as well.

NZ is doing exactly what a cunnning Captain 'll do. They have a target to defend, not bowling first. Now, here they are

1. quickly making up that 10 overs as early as possible. 280 is not a total that you must get the side all-out. Can defend the total by restricting.
2. double bluffing PAK - Azhar has put his team in a position that they need 6.5 inside 10 overs. Now, these part times has to go at 7 for PAK to have any chance - that has given already a bonus wicket.

If you can keep the asking building with you part-timers, defending a big total, that's trick.
