Tahir is a hack, end of.

I rate him. He's not a world beater, but he's the most impressive South African spinner I've seen for some time. He'll have a fairly good career if he's continued with I think.

Though I do think limited overs he's much stronger at. Don't think it's worth playing him as a test specialist, should be playing all three formats.

Tahir has done ok so far, playing on surfaces where quicks will obviously dominate (the SA tracks were particularly green this summer I noticed. Even more than usual).

I'd like to see more of him. I certainly enjoy watching a half decent leggie much more than the dreadful, boring slow bowlers (not even spinners) they normally turn out- Symcox, Botha, Harris etc.

Pretty much a 1inns shoot out now, i think S.A if they bat well in 2nd inns should be looking at a 250 Target and that should be enough to win the game, think we will see a positive result here!

no not really but regardless I think he'll end up a good spinner. And he's by far the best SA option they have at the moment. So makes sense to persist with him.
