Rugby league has 13 players and rugby union has 15. In rugby when you get taken to the ground you push the ball behind you to your team mates. As long as you keep the ball you can do this for ever. In rugby league you get 6 tackles and after the sixth one you hand the ball to the opposite team

There are many other rules but I can't be bothered
