yea we need to capitalize on this start as the pitch has flattened a good bit here we should ideally get a score of 400-450+ here at least depends on how long we bay as there are still 3 full days left and it gives india a lot of time to chase

i agree with the 350-375 target. India have a fierce line up and we have to put them under pressure
 
I am not sure, this pitch looks to get better for batting throughout the match, and last time on day 3 and 4 Jayasuriya and Sangkarra lit it up around that time. I would say a target of 300+ is minimum required.

Our batsmen do not need to rush. Still plenty of time left in the game, take it easy and slow and put 400 runs on the board. They should aim to bat out today and day 3, and the runs will come. If they bat out day 3, they will be at 400 and we have two days to take 10 wickets.

u see this is wat i think too however India can make that score in 2 days on this pitch at least thats my thinking it will take quite a good bowling performance agn
 
guys,, looking at the pitch and all the factors etc etc etc.. what do u guys reckon is a good target for pakistan to set for India ????
 
We shouldnt even be thinking of the target just yet.

We should make sure we bat out today safely and hopefully the whole of tomorrow.

need to ball whole day tomorow target for the time being is irrelevent.if they bat all day tomorrow then we should be in a commanding situation!
 
So cricket devil do you mean to say India have the advantage no matter what??

I think 350 is enough. Remember Kaneria is better in the second innings. Also Razzaq is bowling awesome.

no wat i meant to say is we should look to bat as long as possible and give India as imposing a total as we can

what a big difference it makes not having inzi - had he still been to come - am sure all of us wouldnt be as worried and we would probably be more confident of getting to that 375/400 target! i hope faisal iqbal can show some of his uncle's fighting qualities as it will be needed

faisal iqbal looked very gud to me in the first innings no reason why he cant chip in atleast with a 50!!!

I think Farhat gifted his wicket with that pull. Farhat def has a probelm with the pull like Ganguly. Needs to sort that out before the next match. Most important thing right now for Pakistan is to keep their wickets for the day left.

farhat fancies himself a bit when playing the pull shot - has been out to it a few times but also has scored man runs from it as well as is the way with a fave shot
 
all day tomorrow??? what are u crazy?? this isnt lahore or faisalabad.. pakistan has scored at the rate of over 4 so far in this test.. .. that means 80 overs in a day .. that is 320 runs.. plus the 150 run lead right now.. thats close to 500 runs..

u guys honestly believe pakistan needs to do all that to win this test??? come on guys.. u think we are that impotent when faced with indian batters???


I say we need 350 runs to win this test.. 200 runs more and we are good to go.. if we can manage more.. fine.. but we can certainly declare with 20 overs to go tomorrow if we can manage it.
 
no that was a risky single however even if sachin had hit there moyo would have made it so i guess it can be called a good single
