did i say we will win?
all i said was that we might win
and 20 wickets in 2days is not impossible even on a flat track

Lets hope so Inshallah. But like Imran Khan was saying not much cricket was played today and so the pitch will most likely be the same tomorrow as it was today.

BBC forecast is good for the next few days but yahoo seems to think it will pelt it down. In fact a quarter of an inch is expected to fall on Tuesday according to Yahoo. Don't know who is right and who is wrong.

But if there has been some rain about and there is moisture in the air the ball might swing a bit no? Let's hope so. But 90% this game is a draw and 10% a Pakistan win. As I said before, it is great to know that no matter how well India play there is no hope in hell, not even 0.000000000000000000000000001 % chance of them winning this match. Whatever they try it aint gonna be enough. The BEST they can hope for is a draw! Wheras we do still have a chance of winning (or be it a slim one). I am more than happy with this :D

Yahoo is always confusing. They contradict every forecast BBC gives. :(

Coming back to the days play, it was very disappointing.

Since I had the day of I was hoping for some top class action, instead witnessed about 15 overs in which are bowlers had no rewards while Sehwag played a superb innings and Dravid kept on dropping the ball down to his feet.

Was impressed with Sehwag though! What a knock! :)

I don't care if he's Indian, he's a class player.

This is why it is important to get these two early and the rest will fold and wilt under pressure.
Look at the positive side! You dont have to see Shewag and Tendulkar making double centuries and listen to Arun Lal analysing every stroke they play on a dead wicket and praise players instead of wicket.
By the way if Gangulay had openend it could have opened a way for Pakistan because he cant drop those rising deliveries on to his feet like Rahul can.
I agree, Rahul Dravid is great but I hate him when he is playing against Pakistan.

Holding and Imran still believe that Pakistan can do it if they get early wickets tomorrow morning (weather permitting ofcourse!). So it depends upon getting Sehwag early and then attacking the other batsmen. If one wicket falls down India will definitely feel the heat.

Our bowlers need to show more determination and Inzi should (and should!) try to be innovative. On this kind of a pitch you, as a captain, need to try out different strategies. Dravid and Sehwag continuously played the ball through the leg-side and accumulated runs. Now we need to stop that and bowl straight so that they are forced to change their strategy. Its imperative that Inzi out-smarts the batsmen rather than being laid back!

hey anyone know where i can get highlights of afridi's batting, especially the bhaaji over?

finally something to cheer about! well played sehwag, raising 1000 runs against pakistan...only 11 matches...that's sick!

dravid also played well in support. Still long way to go though...any weather updates? Howz the weather for tomorrow? If these two are still batting by lunch tomorrow, this match, like this pitch, will be dead

Well played India indeed ! Good to see them make a fight of it and I like the way Dravid has comeout as an opener - he is the Captain and he is leading from the front - I wonder what influence GC has on this decision ?

we in india just had a good laugh at inzi wen he said they r goin to prepare 'aussie style' wicket....who was he trying to fool??..only pakistanis seam to have bought it!

We have no problems with the pitch..cos we know there can be only 2 results here a draw or an indian win..instead of a 3-0 we will probabaly win 2-0 or 1-0....so start praying that pak don loose a single toss in this series! (by an indian fan from day 2 thread)..........

btw who do they think they are still playing zimbabwe or srilanka?????????

they r playing the big boys now. and we dont have players like atapattu (more boring than correct), dilshan etc. in our team. they thinkthey just got better by beating stinking sri lanks. heheh. think again

Pakistan can still win this.provided we get full days play for the next two days. They just have to put extra effort in their bowling.

Very boring match nothing for the bowlers. Mabe we will see something different in KARACHI. Our Groundsman sucks.

Even Bangalore was like this and Pakistan went on to win it.

Nothing to do with the groundsman. The weather has been very bad recently so would have been very difficult for him to prepare a sporting track which requires a lot of work in places like Pakistan.

Big time! and I don't fall for this excuse that it was too cold, what type of an excuse is that? In England its always cold, that doesn't mean the groundsman install a 22 yard strip of concrete!

are u sure those two kinds of pitches are same????
i don't think so...pak was aiming for bouncy hard, something like carrabian pitches....probably the britian ones are little different to this...they are little grassy not hard...

Younis Khan has scored 707 runs in just 4 TESTS and 7 innings against India @ 117.83

if he continues at the present rate he will "raise his 1000 runs in ... only 6 matches" :), that would be almost 1/2 the matches that sehwag has played

the soil content is totally different in UK. It is IMPOSSIBLE to have the same type of pitches in Pakistan as you get in UK. Unless you cut the pitch out and transport it by ship to Pakistan.
