What's new

Osama Bin Laden is DEAD

All those who're saying that Pakistanis weren't involved make me laugh. All those indian forummers including anand99 must know that US special forces cant enter Pakistan without our army and ISI support, so from their initial setup in Pakistan to their victory in taking down OBL, Pakistanis were involved in one way or another.

Reuters have reported some reaction from Jihadist internet forums. "Oh God, please make this news not true... God curse you Obama," said one message on an Arabic language forum. "Osama may be killed but his message of Jihad will never die," said another posting.

BBC getting in depth opinions from real Muslims in real places.

Ok now he is taking on CNN abt Pakistan's relationship in this event, US are saying Pakistan had no info on this event.

Subsequent to the speech CNN and Fox are reporting that pakistanis were not involved in the operation. But Pakistani officials are contradicting it.

i know , i am just saying you heard what Obama said about Pakistan's cooperation in his speech ? CNN is so stupid they first said US forces killed him outside a mansion in Isloo , then changed it to killed in a mansion outside Isloo then again changed it to Abbottabad

Watch a Pakistani channel instead for better credibility

I'm watching CNN and a correspondent said that while Pakistan was instrumental in helping piece things together, they did not know that the US was targeting the compound in Abbottabad

I did not say CNN is right. I am just relaying what I saw on US channels. Ok I will shut up.

Well I saw that too, it was that Pakistan didnt knew that US was targetting OBL in the compound.

Syed Riaz Hussain in Abbottabad, writes: "Last night, at around 0100, there was heavy gunfire about 300 metres from our house, which was followed by a huge blast. There was little in terms of military activity during the day to suggest something even remotely close to what happened. The exact spot where this incident took place, is a stone's throw from the Pakistan Military Academy, Pakistan's equivalent of West Point."

Come on folks, be realistic. Any and all reports of Pakistan not being told/involved/aware are just to make the US's own image strong and to help Indians sleep at night.

Common sense would go a long way to have you come to the realization that it is impossible for something of this calibre to happen without our knowledge.

 Obama Bin Laden!

MIG - didn't Khabri just ask us to not post graphic pictures like that one? You naughty boy you

No one is saying that it is true, they are just telling you what is being reported in the news over here. Its interesting to get the different perspectives from different countries.

Might be a fake. SKY NEWS have said that they aren't sure, it seems its only 2 Pakistani channels who're reporting this. Most likely they photoshopped a previous image, especially considering the beard is black

What will be China's reaction? Al-Qaeda supported Muslim insurgents in western Xinjiang province, China.

Tough days ahead for Pakistan.

Think killing OBL is better for all as him being alive and being tried etc would have resulted in innumerable hijackings etc to free him -

This is another beta post from our neighbours. Stop worrying about us, we don't need your crocodile tears or fake tension.

good find WLFC, it's prolly some toll on the internet photoshopped the picture.

WLFC - LOL okay that is a photoshopped image definitely . looked fake anyway :))

WLFC thanks for that, most likely a fake picture taken from the internet thanks to inept news agencies.

Photoshoposama Bin Laden to be released tomorrow to prove the ignorant american populous that they have won the war - which they are losing badly.

He died a long time ago. Benazir let it slip out of her mouth before she got assassinated too.

Abbaotabad? mansion? Are you kidding me?

Well doesn't matter, whatever the media tells you people believe that.

Americans need to get their pronunciations right. Wasn't Obama saying 'Abidabad'? Even Al Jazeera had it as that on their ticker. There is a place by that name in Pakistan, but its in Sindh.

@LowkeyP

I am sure if he was found in New Delhi, u would have ur sympathy with us, after all u have such large hearts

Link to the image. Dont post the image. I think you're not allowed to show the image of dead body. Anyways, the link shows OBL's picture taken before and compares it with the one shown today on TV. There's a difference in beard color.....

can't believe Pakistani news channels can fall it so easily. It's simply fake.

Really stupid Australian intelligence specialist talking on Sky.

Okay Indian Channel is saying Osama was Pak Army's guests. Wait for more masala

Americans in thousands out on the streets to celebrate the death of one person who presumably operated a high tech operation from caves. :D

On a serious note... lie or not, good riddance. I hope muslims dont go out in the streets today in thousands in protests of his killing.

If there was anyone who wanted to bring a true Islamic system in the world they were people like Allama Iqbal true scholars and visionaries.

We should be careful about whom we chose to follow.

LOL some news anchor on Fox produces a document saying that Yemen & Middle Eastern Al-Qaeda will make reprisals :)) Next target set I guess.

What is interesting is that Zardari has not given a speech yet, Obama did and so did Stephen Harper the Canadian Prime Minister.

Osama's compound with within 800 yards from Pakistan Military Academy, Kakul Abbottabad

so do you blame people for thinking this?

Yes Osama's death is a good thing. Brought too much pain to Muslims the world over.

Absolute BS

I'm sorry but Sky are reporting that the US are planning on burying the body in 24 hours -- they are looking to bury him in either Afghanistan, Pakistan or Saudi. Apparently the Saudi's don't want him, so they are thinking of burying him IN THE SEA

I'm not buying any of this islamic burial argument...its just hiding something

Good point MIG. I don't see why some people are choosing a time like this to bash on Indians or anyone else really.

Don't forget there was also a US military base located in Abottabad...i guess they were equally as incompetent seeing as the villa was constructed in 2005!!

LOL I can see public opinion turning on Pakistan very soon.

Very interesting weekend this - the secretive oligarchy has a wedding, qaddafi's son killed, us dollar continues to go down approaching low levels, bin laden killed.

Indian news channels make me puke on every news they make up! I prefer watching Pakistani punjabi third class movie over those news! And unfortunately I have noticed that in recent past some Pakistani news channels are copying the way of Indian news which is ridiculously ill..

I think it's abundantly clear that the ISI/Army have been sheltering Osama for their own gain. Evidently, this doesn't bother me in the slightest as if it can bring some good for Pakistan - some sort of assurance from the United States, I can live with it.

To hell with what the citizens of America or India think - I want what's best for my country and if we have to do this to level the playing field, so be it.

Pakistani officials should stay quiet and release a measured response in a few days. Think it out.

Why is USA in such a hurry to bury the body of Bin Laden? Show it to the damn whole world. I say put it on view to all the international media. But they can't because it is not Bin Laden. I am thinking who's body can it be?

Like I said before folks.. the empire strikes and majority just believe it like sheep.

guy who acted in tere bin laden....

Americans can finally think that their job is done and leave Afghanistan. Reality is nothing much will have changed.

Pakistani officials have to interpret each and every word right, they cannot afford to create confusions, thus taking time.

It would appear they're still unsure how to spin this. US dominance over the world or alliance with Muslim ally leads to biggest catch of the decade?

Whatever happened, we know Pakistan was involved in practically each step. lol @ people who are, on the one hand, positing we had no idea he was next to a large military base, but on the other saying we are actively involved in terrorism. Filthy mindset.

Yaar why you give a damn for these people. Leave it, btw do you believe that it was actually Osama they killed?

POTW Speaking the truth :14:

Lowkey, it does matter what Americans think. The United States is getting all of the glory for this right now. I'm not sure what you're watching but most everything I've seen tonight has been questioning Pakistan's motives and involvment. I want whats best for Pakistan too, but with the way things are playing out right now, Pakistan isn't being portrayed in a very good light.

Just news headline flashing on CNN that Pakistan Intelligence Officials reportedly involved in the operation.

I think that the Pak govt and ISI knew the whereabouts of Bin laden long ago but now they could not hide it any longer.

Yeah correct they knew he was buried in the mountains of Torah Borah.

A dark day in Pakistan history.

If Pakistan did not know of Bin Laden;s presence then it tells how crap our ISI is that it did not know whats happening in a relatively big town..

If Pakistan was playing a double game with USA, then embarassment

News channels aren't giving any credit to Pakistani intelligence or Army but that's no problem, I am sure ISI lead the operation with few Americans on the scene, who are taking all the credit now.
