Wow, the US government is really clutching at straws here, is this the best video they have?

Strangely, I haven't seen my neighbour for a few days, he also wears a skull cap and has a long beard. :yk

I think they should call a head count for all the bearded men with big noses in Western countries.

Considering their character assassinations of him lately I'm surprised they didn't show him smoking a joint watching infidel porn...

It's not enough to kill a man, you have to kill the legend. I guess thats their mentality at the moment.

So his hearing only went once the seals arrived. He suddenly couldn't hear them shooting up 3 levels before he went for his weapon.

Americans are worried about trying to fake any image which would show the front of his face fully because face regonition technology can easily prove any photo of him as a fake.

Shaykh1985 -

Does it matter whether it was illegal or not? He was a bad bad man. He murdered so many innocent people at the push of a button. He created a terrorist network of over 300 men, who are all planning attacks as we speak. The 'whole' world wanted him dead.

He knew Saddam and his sons, Uday and Kusay. He probably knew Gaddafi. Heck, he might even have known the Syrian President. We need to take out his remaining chums! In fact, we need to take out everyone he ever knew, just to be on the safe side. He was such a powerful commander, sooo evil!

God Bless America!

He was accused of murdering thousands but Bush the real terrorist murdered millions at the slip of tongue. Bush announced a War on back of just lies. If Osama deserved to die than Bush deserves to be fried alive.

God will never Bless America.

Levity was being sarcastic.

LOL@ the Pakistani army for making him out to be poor, poverty stricken etc to minimize the embarassment.
LOL@ the Americans for making him out to still be the ringleader to enhance the SEALS and the operation.

In this case the Americans win and the Pakistani army look like fools caught with a naked backside.

Lol@ the video of 'Bin Laden' watching tv! Looks nothing like him lol

Muslim Center vandalized after death of bin Laden

PORTLAND, Maine (NEWS CENTER) -- Members of southern Maine's Muslim community are expressing outrage after their community center was spraypainted with hurtful messages in response to the death of Osama bin Laden.

Some time after morning prayer at the Maine Muslim Community Center on Andersen Street in Portland ended Monday, someone spray painted 'Osama Today, Islam Tomorrow' and 'Go Home' on the front and side of the building.

"It is hurtful. It is absolutely unacceptable, and I believe we are under threat," said Abdirahman Osman, a community elder. "We cannot accept these such things. Our community, they all are hurt a lot, and we don't accept such things happening to our center, here."

Osman says whoever attacked their community facility is uneducated about the Muslim people and the religion of Islam. He says people who believe in Islam believe in God, not violence and that Osama bin Laden created a lot of problems and suffering for Muslim people.

The Portland Police Department is investigating the act of vandalism as a hate crime under Maine law.

"We don't have many hate crimes here and certainly, to deface a mosque is just totaly unacceptable," Portland Police Chief James Craig told reporters Monday afternoon. "This is certainly not reflective of the people who live here in Portland. It is a very serious incident and it certainly creates fear in the community, not just in the Muslim community, but in all of our communities."

Chief Craig said he planned on meeting with members of Portland's Muslim community to ensure them everything that could be done to keep them safe, and find the person responsible would be done.

Craig says the F.B.I. has contacted his department to get more information and offer assistance in their investigation.

Members of the city's Muslim community say they don't take the action lightly and are concerned that the person or persons responsible could take other more serious actions.

"It is not the writing of the words that is the problem," explained Ahmed Abdirahman. "The problem is if someone writes a word, someone else might take action on it."

The city's anti-graffiti crew moved quickly to paint over the messages, but many people associated with the Muslim center say it will take much longer for the wounds created by this crime to heal.

Wonder what they were watching?

Hiliary couldn't believe Ajmal's ball was missing the stumps and Sachin got another life.

Lmao.I pictured him having Leather Sofas..Home Theatre system..60 Inch tv and all of that..But guess not.

OBL was supposedly left-handed.

The old fella in the video is using his right hand for the remote control.

Normally one tends to use their 'natural' hand for mundane activities, such as using a remote control to flick through channels.

Hhhh..mmmmm..... :13:

Hey! Careful what you say man! Generalising is never clever. That remark is discriminatory and borderline racist. Corpses have a vast array of qualities too...

Sorry bro I didn't realise. Sorry to any PPers I may have offended and sorry to all Muslims around the world :malik.

Seriously though anybody who believes Bin Laden was killed recently needs their head examined. No Proof and they believe it and yet call other people conspiracy theorists.

Is this a million dollar house? Am I a 'conspiracy theorist' if I don't believe this is worth anywhere close to million dollar "mansion"?

Thats what I'm saying...I heard Abbotabad was pricey but seriously...

Honestly this video is worse than the others...who records themselves watching tv...and the vid doesnt even show his face...its actually offensive how awful this video is...

If people didnt have doubts before then surely they will now...

All day long they kept showing all the videos the US got from the compound where Osama was...that one where they are showing that he's got a remote in his hand and is watching himself on the news on Tv is absolutely no way that it's him!

He looks more like my choukidaar back there in Pakistan! :))

Look at the peelay school waali deewar inside the MANSION :)))

Omar Malik - you checked your choukidar has not gone missing ? :P

From all of this one thing is certain, the character known as Osama Bin Laden is no more, his role has been cut short, we will never hear or see this character ever again.

You can speculate all you want but we will never know exactly as to who he was? Who employed him? Who he took his orders from? Who protected him? Why the US decided to announce his nonexistence? etc.

As the pattern goes, in a couple of weeks Ayman Al-Zawahiri will release a tape announcing himself as the new leader of "Al Qaeda". Deadly attacks will follow in Pakistan and some parts of Europe, the media will portray Al-Zawahiri as more brutal and blood thirsty than Bin Laden providing the US the perfect reason to spend another 5-8 years in Afghanistan and quite possibly invade or bomb a couple of other countries in search of this boogeyman.

Now that Osama rests in the sea, next time when there is Tsunami in America, guess who'll get blamed...:moyo

This gets funnier and funnier...

That house was a control centre apparently...despite the fact that he is seen in grey beards in previous vids he now vainly dies his beard...

Osama this supposed biggest terrorist mastermind ever also left the largest collection of terror material ever in that house...

Its actually amusing how ridiculous this is...and yet people label me a conspiracy theorist for not buying this ****...

Al-Qaeda leader Osama Bin Laden was in active control of the terror network from his compound in northern Pakistan, US intelligence services now believe.

Reversing assessments that Bin Laden lived a nomadic existence, the US now says his Abbottabad house was a command and control centre.

Following the raid that killed him, the US has released five videos of Bin Laden watching TV and giving speeches.

Officials say he was deeply involved in al-Qaeda decision-making.

"This compound in Abbottabad was an active command and control centre for al-Qaeda's top leader and it's clear [...] that he was not just a strategic thinker for the group," an official who spoke on condition of anonymity told reporters at a Pentagon briefing.

"He was active in operational planning and in driving tactical decisions," the official said.

The five tapes, their sound removed by the Pentagon, show Bin Laden watching a report about himself on television, and, in several clips, practising video addresses.

One of the videos released was a "complete, yet unreleased" tape he described as "a message to the American people," the intelligence official said.

It was believed to have been produced between early October and the beginning of November 2010.

Officials say that the changing colour of Bin Laden's beard - dyed black in the addresses but grey when filmed watching himself on television - suggests he was someone who "jealously guarded" his image.

The material found at the compound - which is reported to include digitial, audio and video files, as well as printed material, computer equipment, recording devices and hand-written documents - has been described by officials as "the single largest collection of senior terrorist materials ever".

Personal letters between Bin Laden and others are also said to be among the documents recovered.

CIA Director Leon Panetta said in a statement that the material seized "only further confirms how important it was to go after Bin Laden".

In the first video, Bin Laden is shown wearing a white skullcap and shirt and a golden robe. He speaks to the camera in the style of previous video addresses by the al-Qaeda leader.

The BBC's Jonny Dymond, in Washington, says that these are the first such films to emerge since al-Qaeda released a video address from Bin Laden in 2007.

In another of the videos, Bin Laden is shown watching a programme about himself on Arabic language television.

He is shown sitting on the floor wrapped in what looks like a blanket or a coat, holding a remote control.

In one scene, he watches a programme showing an image of himself superimposed on a picture of the World Trade Center in flames after it was hit by hijacked planes.

There is nothing in the videos to place Bin Laden in the compound where he was killed.

Noam Chomsky: My Reaction to Osama bin Laden’s Death

We might ask ourselves how we would be reacting if Iraqi commandos landed at George W. Bush’s compound, assassinated him, and dumped his body in the Atlantic.

It’s increasingly clear that the operation was a planned assassination, multiply violating elementary norms of international law. There appears to have been no attempt to apprehend the unarmed victim, as presumably could have been done by 80 commandos facing virtually no opposition—except, they claim, from his wife, who lunged towards them. In societies that profess some respect for law, suspects are apprehended and brought to fair trial. I stress “suspects.” In April 2002, the head of the FBI, Robert Mueller, informed the press that after the most intensive investigation in history, the FBI could say no more than that it “believed” that the plot was hatched in Afghanistan, though implemented in the UAE and Germany. What they only believed in April 2002, they obviously didn’t know 8 months earlier, when Washington dismissed tentative offers by the Taliban (how serious, we do not know, because they were instantly dismissed) to extradite bin Laden if they were presented with evidence—which, as we soon learned, Washington didn’t have. Thus Obama was simply lying when he said, in his White House statement, that “we quickly learned that the 9/11 attacks were carried out by al Qaeda.”

Nothing serious has been provided since. There is much talk of bin Laden’s “confession,” but that is rather like my confession that I won the Boston Marathon. He boasted of what he regarded as a great achievement.

There is also much media discussion of Washington’s anger that Pakistan didn’t turn over bin Laden, though surely elements of the military and security forces were aware of his presence in Abbottabad. Less is said about Pakistani anger that the U.S. invaded their territory to carry out a political assassination. Anti-American fervor is already very high in Pakistan, and these events are likely to exacerbate it. The decision to dump the body at sea is already, predictably, provoking both anger and skepticism in much of the Muslim world.

We might ask ourselves how we would be reacting if Iraqi commandos landed at George W. Bush’s compound, assassinated him, and dumped his body in the Atlantic. Uncontroversially, his crimes vastly exceed bin Laden’s, and he is not a “suspect” but uncontroversially the “decider” who gave the orders to commit the “supreme international crime differing only from other war crimes in that it contains within itself the accumulated evil of the whole” (quoting the Nuremberg Tribunal) for which Nazi criminals were hanged: the hundreds of thousands of deaths, millions of refugees, destruction of much of the country, the bitter sectarian conflict that has now spread to the rest of the region.

There’s more to say about [Cuban airline bomber Orlando] Bosch, who just died peacefully in Florida, including reference to the “Bush doctrine” that societies that harbor terrorists are as guilty as the terrorists themselves and should be treated accordingly. No one seemed to notice that Bush was calling for invasion and destruction of the U.S. and murder of its criminal president.

Same with the name, Operation Geronimo. The imperial mentality is so profound, throughout western society, that no one can perceive that they are glorifying bin Laden by identifying him with courageous resistance against genocidal invaders. It’s like naming our murder weapons after victims of our crimes: Apache, Tomahawk… It’s as if the Luftwaffe were to call its fighter planes “Jew” and “Gypsy.”

There is much more to say, but even the most obvious and elementary facts should provide us with a good deal to think about.

Pretty much all of my relatives and such I have talked to in Abbottabad think this is merely a conspiracy or games by the governement(s). Can't blame them I guess, there's no proof and that's pretty shocking stuff for a peaceful and quiet city.

^ Khan88 - do the people in Abbottabad really think OBL or even his family was living there ? Is there any truth to this story ?

You know every time there is an interview with a resident of Abbottabad they always say something like " we didn't notice anything off...we used to go for a walk beside the house all the time" Every single one of them has mentioned this.

They sure like walking :sachin

My cousins and such are saying they don't believe it, "sap kayl hai". Also I've watched a couple of interviews and such of residents on BBC/CNN and most are just saying it's too crazy or that they want more concrete proof.

Though people are still going and taking pictures by the house haha, I totally wish I was there.

haha yeah Pakistan is fun :yk

I saw interviews of people living there too , nobody believes this story . There are way too many loopholes .

Aside from patriotic Americans, European and ass-kissing Indians, there are few who believe the 'official' account of this non-event. Oh, and add Israel to that list too.

I am usually not a fan of conspiracy theories at all, but this episode looks at least a little bit suspicious. There is potential for some good to come out of it, as it has increased the calls for a withdrawal of troops from Afghanistan:

[utube]j1ovN7cyB_o[/utube]

Whether or not Bin Laden's death is legitimate, what is clear is the following:
  • He was killed (or not) in a targeted assassination mission
  • The war was completely unnecessary
  • Targeting specific terrorist leaders would have cost the US a lot less money, and would have saved countless civilian lives (at least in Iraq, Afghanistan was already in a state of war, at least with regards to the Taliban massacring Hazaras).

Osama died of illness few years ago: Iran

Updated at: 0742 PST, Monday, May 09, 2011
TEHRAN: Iran's intelligence minister Heidar Moslehi has said that his country had solid evidence that al-Qaeda Chief Osama bin Laden died of disease some time ago.

Iran had accurate information that bin Laden died of illness some time ago, Moslehi told reporters after the Cabinet meeting on Sunday.

If the US military really arrested or killed Osama, why didn't they show his dead body, why had they thrown his corpse into the sea?” Moslehi asked.

He said when Iran apprehended former Jundallah leader, it showed him and also aired his interview.

Does it mean that Osama's wife & daughter who are in pakistan custody are lying ?... just curious

May ?
That's a bit like saying 'The sun may set this evening'

Well I believe that they are but I can't really obtain proof of the ISI's operations can I?

Here is my opinion.

1. America getting owned by the Taliban in Afghanistan
2. Staged the killing of Bin Laden to have something to show for the war and to justify it to the people who were hell bent on revenge.
3 Setting up of Pakistan as a scapegoat to justify why it took so long.
4. Done a deal with Pakistan so that Pakistan takes the fall but are assured of a Pakistani friendly government in Afghanistan. Maybe also be some undercover concessions.

Could be, could be..

Alternatively,
A few key people, here and there, in the pockets of the US, due to a combination of bribes, blackmail (including personal blackmail), threats, promises ......and such like.

You can now apparently do it yourself.

I seriously believe that whatever Pakistani Authorities really want to say in media , but couldnot due to American Pressure , they speak through Iranian Mouths . A Pakistani senator was In iran 2 days back . I guess he met with President Ahmedi and Defence Minister Ahmad Vahidi and this statement from the Iranian Intel VEVAK Chief came out later .

Well if Iran really has evidence then why don't they release it? I will tell you why b/c they don't have evidence. It's geopolitics. All countries are looking for their benefit or two points!

Iran is not bound to any geopolitics in this regard, it's speaks it's mind. Some of the statements made by President Ahmadi in the UN have ripped apart the zionist/neo con deception. Remember Iran was against Jundullah who have staged attacks in Iran so it wouldn't want to hide the issue of OBL.

get two things straight here ....

Iran is questioning the authenticity of the event ( so is the whole world ) because there was no body or comparative evidence given by the American authorities .... nothing shocking in that . Atleast Iran has the guts to speak against USA .

secondly , Iranian Intelligence agency VEVAK and Pakistani Intel ISI are considered the most meanest intel agencies all around the world . no need to go in details for that to prove . So if any one of these 2 agencies are involved in some conflict then it means that they know all abt that .

The 35 Top Conspiracy Theories Surrounding Osama’s Death

LAHORE: Within days of al-Qaeda Chief Osama bin Laden’s death; the Internet, television channels and newspapers around the world stand literally littered with loads of conspiracy theories that have sprung up only to ignite heated debates on the more hazy aspects of this most talked about incident.

Those good at analyzing or even inventing conspiracy theories would recall that soon after the 9/11 episode, reports had surfaced that on the day of the attacks on the New York World Trade Centre, geological surveys in this key US city had recorded the greatest amount of seismic activity immediately before the Twin Towers had collapsed, and not when they had actually hit the ground.

These reports had led many people, including Americans, to believe that the towers were blown up with explosives underneath the building and not by the enormous volume of fuel that ignited after the two airliners had exploded.

This argument was further reinforced by the way the Twin Towers had imploded inwards, instead of collapsing sideways.

Questions were consequently raised, physics of the crumbling towers was studied, discrepancies were pointed out, motives and counter-motives of these attacks were deliberated upon and a lot of light was shed on the possibilities of cover-ups and counter-cover-ups of these attacks.

Questions were also asked as to why the Pentagon building was hit on the side that happened to be empty due to renovation purposes on the day of the attacks? While many people were also heard questioning as to why was there no visible evidence of a destroyed airliner among the debris, others were just curious to know as to why had the American fighter jets not scrambled up to intercept the hijacked aircraft until after the third plane had hit the Pentagon?

Those aware of the US Aviation laws were equally suspicious about the failure of the fighter jets to get hold of the hijacked planes, despite it being a legal requirement in the US for these special jets to come into action whenever a commercial airliner changes direction off its flight path.

A section of the US public, in particular, was also heard expressing doubts as to how so much information about the hijackers was released to the media by the FBI so soon after the 9/11 attacks?

For those who normally take these conspiracy theories lightly, it is imperative for them to realize that it was owing to these speculations that the Bush administration had to answer many queries related to the September 11, 2001 attacks, besides having to ‘embarrassingly’ duck a few tricky ones.

It goes without saying that it is because of the unanswered questions and unsolved riddles of the 9/11 incident that the world today is also raising questions about Osama bin Laden’s death.

By the way, many of the hypotheses that have cropped up after Laden’s death will continue to hold a lot of ground till the Pakistani and the US authorities come on the same page to answer all what is being asked by the media and the people.

“The News” has compiled a list of 35 such conspiracy theories, which have recently surfaced in innumerable media outlets like the leading US newspaper “The Washington Post,” the esteemed British daily “The Guardian,” popular global social networking sites like Facebook and Twitter, noted American television shows like “The Glenn Beck Show” and the well-admired US Radio programme “The Alex Jones Show.”

In compiling this list, this correspondent has also sought help from a few well-read blogs on the web, for example, the Gideon Rachman’s blog. This informative blog is managed by Gideon Rachman, a former international correspondent of ‘The Economist” and an ex-staffer of “The Financial Times.”

Here follows the list of these conspiracy theories, which have undoubtedly impelled a lot of cynicism and suspicion by raising important questions:

1) The fact that the Americans got rid of Osama’s body so fast - and at sea - will feed the arguments of those who will want to believe that this was not really bin Laden. Secondly, keeping the body for evidence has always been the American law and it should thus have been preserved.

2) Why should the Americans pretend to kill their enemy number one - rather than actually tracking him down?

3) If you are a right-wing American conspiracy theorist, you might argue that it is because President Obama wants to secure his re-election by becoming a hero.

4) The US is actually looking for an excuse to go to war with Pakistan and seize the country’s nuclear weapons - and has hence made-up this story about killing Osama.

5) Why isn’t there a photograph of bin Laden’s body yet?

6) Was he actually dumped at sea?

7) If the US had paraded Saddam Hussein’s dead sons around, only to prove that they were dead, why did they hastily bury Osama at sea?

8) The day of Osama’s death was actually the eighth anniversary of President George W Bush’s so-called “Mission Accomplished” speech. To some, this coincidence is an opportunity to use “Mission Accomplished” as a rallying cry - to show that almost 10 years after 9/11, the mastermind of the attack is dead. Others may not see this as a coincidence, but a carefully planned public relations act.

9) Despite being one of the most wanted men in the world, Bin Laden was reportedly able to live in a luxury compound in Abbottabad, Pakistan - only 65 miles from the capital city—undetected by the Pakistani military forces. Some critics are questioning, “How could [Bin Laden] be in such a compound without being noticed?”

10) Could the public trust Bin Laden’s DNA samples? DNA proof can be fabricated and so can the photos be.

11) Why the news of Osama’s death was announced mere weeks after President Obama’s campaign kickoff and just days after his birth certificate was released? Why so late on a Sunday night? It is actually an election ploy to bury the Republicans.

12) Various FBI officials and counterintelligence leaders/political personalities from Iran, Pakistan and Afghanistan have said for years that Bin Laden was dead. How to believe this new story now? What about the old reports? Why should the US be trusted now?

13) The Pakistanis are afraid of the US flipping to India, so they gave him up.

14) They had him (Osama) targeted for a week, but waited post-Royal wedding to grab the headlines.

15) The Pentagon has set it up to protect their budget.

16) It is a fabrication to get out of Afghanistan with a bit of face.

17) The body was kept frozen since the Tora Bora bombardment.

18) The CIA operative (Raymond Davis), who was caught killing two Pakistanis on a motorcycle in Lahore on January 27 this year, was an integral part of the plan to capture or kill Osama. The frantic attempts of the US government to get Raymond freed from the Pakistani police and the payoffs to the families of those killed and probably to the Pakistani police as well—all show that there were lots of secrets to hide.

19) It is not clear whether an American bullet killed Osama or his associates killed him as per standing orders when the escape was blocked. This could well explain the hurry to drop his body into the sea.

20) Wouldn’t Osama have been more useful dead than alive? Or were the Americans simply led to his grave?

21) Is the War on Terror now over? If not, why not? If not, then the death of Bin Laden means nothing.

22) Alive, OBL was a millipede— but dead and gone— the story has got no legs.

23) After years of casually murdering so many innocent Muslims, the US government now expects us to believe that Islamic tradition was held in high esteem while supposedly disposing of the remains of the Public Enemy Number 1.

24) The day of Osama’s killing was the Holocaust Day here in Israel. The killing of Bin Laden on this very same day is, therefore, more than a little symbolic.

25) If the US respected Islamic traditions, then Osama should have been buried on the site of his death and not washed or shrouded. Although it is understandable that the government did not want to have a place where a shrine might be placed to give Osama any more respect than he deserved, but has the US not pissed the Muslims off by dumping Osama at sea? The only reason a Muslim should be buried at sea is if he drowns there.

26) Where is the video of the so-called raid on Osama’s compound?

27) Why did Benazir Bhutto get killed shortly after she had announced that Bin Laden was killed by someone other than an American?

28) If the security was extremely tight in the highly active military academy town of Abbottabad, then how could the US helicopters fly in unnoticed or unimpeded?

29) How did Osama get there without the help of the Pakistani government?

30) Was it actually OBL that they killed or was it his look-alike?

31) Bin Laden was a US agent and was killed to prevent this fact from becoming public knowledge.

32) US talk show host Alex Jones claimed Osama’s body had been frozen for several years, asserting it was kept on ice by American officials for use as a potential propaganda tool. Jones said he was told by an unnamed White House official in 2002 that Bin Laden was “frozen - literally frozen - and that he would be rolled out in the future at some date.”

33) Bin Laden knew where al-Qaeda’s secret nuclear bomb was kept and was killed to prevent him from leaking its location. Barack Obama, as television commentator Glenn Beck had argued in his show, wanted to keep the bomb’s whereabouts out of public knowledge.

34) Television host Beck also claimed that Osama was alive and was being interrogated at a secret location in connection with al-Qaeda’s nuclear arsenal.

35) The royal couple (Prince William and Kate Middleton) had delayed their honeymoon to avoid a clash with the assassination date.

Since this event took place in Abbottabad , Someone from Pakistani govt. is in continuous contact with Iranian authorities , first Pak FM , Then a Pak senator visited Tehran , Now Pak Interior Minister is going to meet President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad ...... all that in just 9 days . This sudden shift of Pakistani approach , which was once always directed towards Saudi Arabia in time of troubles , now is intriguingly directing towards Iran ..... not to mention when Iran and Saudi Arab r engaged in a cold war in the region ( Iran winning By margins , so far ) .

btw I guess they would be discussing the very important and probable Quetta - Zahedan Highway plan for near future ..... lol
