RazzaQqqqqqq qqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqq youuuuuuuuuuuuu lillllllllll llllllllllllllll beautyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy yyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy !

Unbelievable hitting by Razzaq!

What a player, got us to 235!

47 scored from the last two overs - five fours, five sixes from Razzaq who has suddenly, dramatically put Pakistan back into this match.

Loved this bit:16:
49.6 Lewis to Abdul Razzaq, SIX, never mind what Lewis can do, this is Razzaq's time and he creams it over his head for the biggest six of the lot.
The last ball of the innings, what can Lewis do now?
49.5 Lewis to Abdul Razzaq, SIX, this is extraordinary batting, absolutely remarkable. Another mow across the line; another missile over midwicket, yet another six!

Rob, Whippy, and Co., have all gone quite all of a sudden...very very quite :21:

47 scored from the last two overs - five fours, five sixes from Razzaq who has suddenly, dramatically put Pakistan back into this match. Well - quite remarkable hitting from Razzaq which has really given Pakistan a great chance of sealing the series. England's bowlers dominated the Pakistan batsmen for so much of their innings until the Razzaq Rollercoaster got going.

This must be a world record

So then.......where are the wrist slitters?

49.2 Lewis to Abdul Razzaq, SIX, it's gone again, miles over long-off! What a shot, and what an innings - absolutely crunching Lewis for another six

Mahmood to Abdul Razzaq, FOUR, outside off, Razzaq creams this over extra cover for four! Exhilarating batting from Razzaq, and poor bowling from Mahmood

48.4 Mahmood to Abdul Razzaq, SIX, that's into France! He moves to leg and swings through the line, smashing it over a wide long-off for another enormous six! This is carnage for England

48.2 Mahmood to Abdul Razzaq, SIX, yes, that's gone! He climbs into this shorter delivery, another slower ball, and smacks it with a resounding clunk of the bat miles over midwicket.

i think we MAYBE 35 runs short, but we'll see what happens in the 2nd Innings!

What's Pakistan's chances of winning now?

70% a Pakistan win.

1. England under lights. It normally swings around under lights at Trent Bridge.

2. Pitch is not easy. Hafeez and Afridi will be a real handful

3. We are better than them

4. Shoaib Akhtar

5. Mohammad Asif

6. We are better than them

7. We are better than them

8. We are better than them

9. Momentum will be with us after the last 4 overs

10. We are better than them

So there are ten reasons why I currently rate Pakistan as favourites to win this game. Unless England do something special or we have a serious off day.

any one remember here Shoaib Malik innings against South Africa? when he made 82 of 41 balls and smashed 5 or 6 sixes in last two overs just like razaq

I wonder how Inzi will work with Rana here .... as much as he is likely to take wickets .... he is also likely to give away runs and there aren't alot to play with here ...

However, that is not to say that RANA isn't right now amongst the best ODI bowlers in the world.

Expect some of those hits to feature in the next edition of Meri Jaan Pakistan Vol. 213.
Amazing finale to what looked like a dismal batting performance. Razzaq has time and time again been able to produce these fantastic innings where he waits until the last 5 overs only to unleash the inevitable expected onslaught.

With Afridi you expect each ball to be his last but Razzaq is extra special and brings an extra solidity to carnage and mayhem of the highest quality. He has a very simple technique, moving his front leg towards the legside and open up all options to hit staight, towards the leg or offside.

Pakistan now have a decent total to defend and this may go to the last ball.

Razzaq can frustrate at times and even be quite dull, but the fact is he does generally play according to the situation.

Well played Razzler!

Muyazzim, is a real man :19: He apologized immediatly afterwards. The rest are probably hiding and crying somewhere.

I know i'm English, but a few pages back I said something about the game not being over for Pakistan. How right I was.

Not only is it not over for Pakistan, but they are now 99% certain to win. I may be pessimistic, but Mahmood has once again thrown away England's chances and handed all the momentum we had over to Pakistan.

Amazing onslought, TMS talking about ashes series and England's Slip catching. I cant believe the one side England point of view.
Worst kind of murderous hitting in the history of cricket and they are talking about Ashes?> :26: :26: :26: :26: :26:

It's an English broadcast! What do you expect?

Spinners will be the key. Ball is turning and bouncing. I had thought 150 would be enough with Hafeez, Afridi and Malik in the side but I will take 236

Lewis was also poor at the end, though.

i dont get what you sayin evertonfan, why do you think its all mahmood's fault, didnt lewis get hit for 20+ in his last over?
even though i hate saj mahmood, and will be booing him on sunday, im not blind to see that lewis shouldnt also take the blame for onslaught at end

Everton fan.
Don't be such a drama queen.

"Awesome stuff from Razzaq, who clubs Lewis down the ground for three more sixes in the final over! Unbelievable stuff! The bald statistics don't do it justice, but here they are: 21 from the final over, 47 from the last two overs, 69 off the last four, and Razzaq hit 36 off his last 10 balls." Guardian online

Oh i'm a drama queen am I?

In a website full of people who start threads about how good Pakistan are, and then they make one about how bad they are a few hours later, i'm the drama queen?

We haven't won an ODI all summer and our best chance of winning one has been ruined by Mahmood.

:O

All I can say

At 143/7 it wasnt looking too good. But Razzaq just beat the crap out of England in just 4 overs. Stunned to say the least!

you also found out what lewis is made of

new ball bully

once ball gets old he stands no chance and if afridi was in lower order he would have been hit for 6's every ball

Current partnership 70 runs, 4.4 overs, rr: 15.00 (Abdul Razzaq 47, Naved-ul-Hasan 9) incredible !

Last bat Shoaib Akhtar c Joyce b Broad 10 (19b 0x4 1x6) sr: 52.63
fow: 165/8 (45.2 ov); partnership: 27 runs, 7.2 overs, rr: 3.68 (Abdul Razzaq 16, Shoaib Akhtar 10)

End of over 50 (21 runs) - Pakistan 235/8 (RR: 4.70)

Abdul Razzaq 75* (72b 5x4 5x6) J Lewis 10-1-49-2
Naved-ul-Hasan 9* (8b 1x4) SI Mahmood 8-1-58-1

So then - join us in about 40 minutes for England's reply where Jenny will take you through the first 10 overs

Now that is absolutely amazing, incredible and pure scintillating entertainment ! 47 runs off last two overs whofffffffffffffffffffffffffffff, Razzak has batted like this on numerous of times against many a top oppositions. However the 40 plus runs coming off last two overs also reminds me of bangalore 1996 where pakistani legendary bowler waqar younis leaked 40 runs of his last two overs during the 1996 world cup quater final against india in india !

When i clicked onto cricinfo few minutes ago the score read 157/ 7 and i was shell shocked. i was expecting pakistan to bat first and rightfully put up 300 plus score with all of our batsmen contributing solidly. 236 to win is a decent total but i am not sure it's enough on this wicket. Anyways INSHALLAH pakistan will win today !

strauss gone? or has it bounced.

benefit shud go to batsmen if there is doubt.

Wrong decision tbh, always a foreshortening effect on TV replays that mean that good catches are given not out.

Be that as it may its the way they are told to rule it at the mo. They shouldn't be reffered imo as this happens. Live it looked out.

Aussie umpire doing Hair favours, by being BIASED 2 PAKISTAN!!!!

Inzi should just get along with the game. We need to get one of these batsmen out soon.

Athers thinks it carried. And replay was flawed. Shud not have gone to 3rd umpire. Thats Athers view.

Agreed, and Athers just made exactly that same point.

The 3rd umpire has to give it out once it's been referred but as Jonny said it shouldn't be referred to him in the first place. It's been proven to be an extremely inaccurate way to make a decision.

stop taking words out of Atherton's mouth. From the replay it looked as if it bounced, thus should be given not out.

replay was flawed, says athers.

So just because a commentator thinks it out then it's definitley right? Umpire's decision in final, grow up and stop saying everyone is racist when something doesn't go Pakistan's why. It really does make you look stupid.

i thought this thread was meant to be closed by now....whats happening :P post in the other thread :P

hahhahaa, I posted that about 5 minutes before Athers mentioned it. Get the facts straight.

Yeah, Athers is DEFINATELY rite, becoz of his experience as a 1st slipper for many years. If umpire was so good, why did he refer it to the 3rd umpire?
