"Inzi is such a useless skipper; I agree he brought back M. Asif today for a second spell but he could eaily have brought back Akhtar, Imran Khan, or Wasim Akram in to the attack (who cares if they are retired). Waqar was another possibility!

105 for 3 after 27 overs. We should have batted first. Inzi misread the pitch. They will score 500. Going to be very difficult for us to chase that. Typical Sri Lankan pitch where you have to bat first.

Sorry guys I haven't been keeping up....but is there a reason Asif has bowled so many overs already? Do I suspect some sort of stupidity from Inzimam due toe criticism from last match or is there a legitimate reason?

Sri Lanka lost a wicket and he brought Asif on to keep the pressure on so it is stupidity on your part, not Inzi's :19:

last time he had Sri Lanka on the brink and maybe 1 wicket away from a total collapse. Now one wicket goes down and Inzi decides to use Asif? No, not stupidity on my part. Asif is our best containing bowler. Bring him on for a decent spell at the end to keep the total low. Now he only has two overs left.....
 
I didn't start to crtisize, I was just askinig a simple question.....NOW I'm critisizing.

Indeed very much stupidity on your part. Asif is a wicket taker. His job is to get wickets. Someone like Rao is the guy who comes in and contains.

I quote myself so you can read what I said again Oxy. I said WAS that the case or was there some other reason? I was simply asking a question and for opinions. Nowhere in that post do I make a judgement as to whether the decision was stupid or not. I merely conjectured a possibility and asked if THAT was the case. i never said it was so.

if you would actually read it carefully you would see that I was just asking if that was the case. i said i hadn't been keeping up to make it known that i did not have the educated opinion in the matter and was asking for opinions.

Oxy I KNOW you were around last ODI on these boards. How many people were saying Inzi made a stupid decision last time? Cmon, you know it was a fair amount of people. I was asking if people felt that way about this also.

Whatever, I'm at the point where I feel this is silly, it was just a minor inquiry, and yes it was simply that, and it is takign away from the discussion of that game. So i will say it again.

I was only trying to guage what sort of opinions people had as to what actualy happened, I got 1 straight answer, others just mocked me. So whatever, I'm not gonna keep fighting it so people have to keep reading about it.
