Should be a decent game.

Hopefully Pakistan can win this- they have lost to Afghanistan junior teams before, so hopefully no repeat here.

Some good talent on show and lets see if Saud Shakeel can lead from the front.

PAK E should crash Afghan men to pieces here - this is a good PAK squad; take out Babar & Amir, the PAK team that was robbed in broad day light by Aussies should struggle to save face against this squad.

It’s at Cox’s Bazar, unless it rains, ball will swing there and that attack should make it count against Afghans. I am not sure about AFG spin attack, but only challenge for PAK E might be to chase a target against spinners.

1. Haider/Omair
2. Imran
3. Ruhail+
4. *Saud
5. Badar
6. Khusdil
7. Amad
8. Mohsin/Asad
9. Hasnain
10. Sameen/Akif
11. Umer

Should be one of the finalist for sure, other one should be the host. Won’t be surprised if it’s an IND-PAK SF.

Any unknown talent we should know of in the host team? Team looks quite strong.

Overall squad is good. I don’t know whom you know (as none is unknown to me), but I hope Sumon, Minhaj & Tanvir gets game. I was expecting Saif to play, but they have listed him to be groomed as Test specialist, therefore left with the FC team.

This emerging squad is just as good at.the current PAK team and will easily surpass them if they develop properly for a few years.

Far too much mediocrities like Imad, Shadab, Fakhar, Wahab etc. Pakistan should just play these guys in internationals and I am sure they will do better.

That is a stacked team. They should definitely reach the final.

Pretty decent squads all around in the tournament. Ideally should have been televised.

8 overs for 18 runs without any loss for Afg.

28.3 overs,

Afghanistan 88/5

Mohsin Khan 2/11, 5 overs
Umer Khan 1/22. 6.3 overs
Ammad Butt 2/19 6 overs
Muhammad Hasnain 0/8 5 overs
Akif Javed 0/24 6 overs

Pakistani wicket takers:

Mohsin Khan 8 overs. 2 wickets. 3.13 econ.
Ammad Butt 7 overs. 2 wickets. 3.14 econ.
Umer Khan 7 overs. 1 wicket. 3.14 econ.

First wicket of the match for Khushdil Shah!

Munir Ahmad 41(71) c Saud Shakeel b Khushdil Shah.

AFG 120/6. 38 overs. Azmatullah Omarzai 0(2) Sayed Waheedullah Shafaq 15(33).

This is a turner hope we bat well our junior sides get pawned by Afghan spinners regularly

If we loose this match PCB should be close down for ever!!!!

Haha I agree though you are mostly pessimistic but correct here this is the best possible team that could be selected if these lads are not up to it then we are doomed to be minnows for a decade.

Are Afg operating with spin at both ends? Both openers are really good against pacers but they are playing very slowly.

Pakistan are 28/0 after 7.2 overs

Omair Bin Yousuf - 22 (22) 2x4, 1x6
Haider Ali - 3 (22)

Haider Ali taking it slow and easy lol

Common Haider we have really high hopes from you being aggressive opener, don't embarrass us against Afg side.

Pakistan are 40/0 after 10 overs

Omair Bin Yousuf 32 (30) 3x4, 1x6
Haider Ali 5 (30)

Omair Bin Yousuf is out.

Pakistan are 50/1 after 12.5 overs

Omair Bin Yousuf - 38 (38), 4x4, 1x6 - c Munir Ahmad b Nijat Masood
Haider Ali - 9* (36)
Rohail Nazir - 0* (3)

Mohsin will replace Shadab pretty soon in the LOI sides.

some people need to be educated...if we win thats all what matters...it might be a difficult wicket...if you look carefully the afghan captain is actually a regular aghanistan team player so it will be a good win

Easy work. This is a very strong Pakistan side. Will see a number of these players in the national side in the years to come.

The ball must be spinning and the pitch must be slow. Ammad Butt is strengthening his case for selection.

I really hope Haider Ali does well, we really need a young opener. Fakhar has been exposed and found out at the international level. Haider Ali has good technique as well as being aggressive. Don't know what's up with him today, perhaps getting back into touch after not batting in a while.

Omair seems like another solid opener.

86/223.0 OV

Haider and Omair the wickets to fall

We really need to improve our batting and cut those ot balls. Ind, BD and SL play much aster than our players.

Omair must have batted quite well to bat at 100 strike rate on what seems like a really slow pitch, judging by the strike rates of the other batsmen.

So an easy win for Pakistan, finally coming good Afghanistan. This is probably one of the most decent teams that has been selected purely on merit and we should be able to go all the way.
