Pakistan (337) lose their final warm-up game of ICC World Cup 2023 to Australia (351/7) by 14-runs

Iftikhar not bowling today was amazing specially when Rauf went for a century..
 
Abdullah reminds of sarfraz in his ability to rotate strike. He lacks sarfraz's power game though sadly. (Speaking of prime 2015 sarfi)

That's a tried and tested strategy against Pak since days of old. Only a tiny period during Wasim, Waqar, Akhtar era when 'piling on the runs' was easier said than done.
 
Surprised captain courageous didn't bring himself up the order, oh wait this is Australia and not Lahore Blues

That is so true but we have no choice...if we batted first we would have tuk tuked..to 40 overs then tried to slog and get a great 250 odd to defend if lucky..

Just look at chachas technique teh guy looks like he is about to play gulli danda same as fakhar although might get away in india pitches.
 
Relax .Its just a warm up game. Players dont want risk injury so playing it safe. Replacing a player aint easy due to visa delays. Besides idea is to give opposition a false sense of security before actual games. Fakhar will come good in tournament
 
Maxwell all you have to do is milk him for singles and put away the bad ball. You can easily take him for 5 -6 runs an over by playing sensible. It’s when you try to over attack him hel get you
 
Iftikhar is not a 2 down batsman . Saud should have come ahead of him .

They should use all 11 batsmen. No point in risking tailenders to an injury from starc or Cummins

People don't respect maxwell bowling he took 4 wickets against India recently he is more than a decent bowler
 
So team pakistan has the bowling to concede 350+ and the batting to get bowled out at 280?

Babar would probably have a spread field at the moment, allowing plenty of singles

His captaincy alone will cost pak heavily in games

Mohammad waseem won't be selected. Shaheen bowling at death won't be worse than waseem jr. But yeah Haris Rauf and hassan ali really needs to bring A game
 
Iftikhar's strike rotating ability is poor, super poor, I can't even type how bat is. Reason why he can't bat in top 5 as posters here say.

What kind of logic is this?

Relax guys we are preparing for the world cup by losing in warm up matches where everyone is playing their B game.

I'm sure we'll best sides when they are at their A game in the world cup though.
 
Shadab is trying very hard to justify his selection. This is really absurd to have shadab bat before saud and agha

If Babar and Rizwan were playing it would be chased.

Its self consolating behavior.

Babar would not be chasing this score either.
 
The gulf between these teams in the 50 overs game is too big now.

The big teams won't accept anything below 300 whereas this pak team still have the mindset of the 90s

Real games bring real pressure and Pakistan will be in cornered tiger position at the verge of waiting to roar.
 
Babar is hiding as usual against a quality bowling line up.. Once dew will start creating problems for bowlers, he will come and score useless run a ball half century, and his followers will overhype him to the moon 😂😂

Iftikhar was in many people's Team of the Tournament in the t20 wc held in AUSTRALIA

Fakhar scored 190+, should have gotten a 200 in SOUTH AFRICA

yes with poor technique, both have scored in SENA countries as well. Would take this poor technique in the team any day
 
So after today's match I think we can only win against netherland, Afghanistan and maybe Bangladesh in world cup matches

For the record, I don’t give a damn if we win this. I want to see if any of our players can try and score at a good strike rate
 
I don't understand what some Pakistani fans want, last warm up game they were complaining that Babar and Rizwan were batting to long and not giving others a chance to get practice. Today they have decided to give others a chance to get some batting practice and now those same fans are saying they're hiding from Australia lol. Just can't win doesn't matter the decision.

Not my idea, whether Babar or Rizwan play or not Pakistan always struggles. It's you who always trying to prove that Babar and Rizwan have no worth and Pakistan win without them.

I just dont want anyone to stat pad and score 50s for themself like Babar and Rizwan.

Dont care if we lose.
 
Watching Ifthikar bat is like watching Misbah when chasing 300+ scores.
