Soft dismissal for Hassan. He tried to play sensibly today. Would have preferred him to go for a few lusty blows and get dismissed in an aggressive fashion.

Now we have proper tail which can actually bat and contribute around 100 form no. 8 to 11 on average as unit. And only Shaheen is proper number XI and even he has some batting potential, remember those sixes and reverse paddle scoop vs fast bowlers.

Yup i said same yesterday, but this particular ball only option was to leave, it was in between length on 5th stump, he has all the shots just need to learn how to survive or defend good balls and we can have proper dashing no. 8 on our hands who can play short but match changing cameos.
 
Fawad is playing strange inning, nor properly shielding tail nor going for hits, he and Pak have nothing to lose in this scenario, just go for your shots and collect some easy runs fadi.

There’s still plenty of time, nothing to worry about in terms of time. Another 20 runs or so needed.

He has been shielding the tail from Muzarabani, and has been ok with them facing the other bowler.

If the lead is already not more than enough for this Zim batting to get even inning victory is not enough then have bigger problem on our hand, baqi tu jitnay b runs hun Thora he lgta, but most likely Zim will not and should not cross 200 in second dig.
 
Fawad must get some quick boundaries , no point in wasting time now.
 
All 3 wickets today have fallen to very good deliveries. Bit more life in this pitch today probably because of overcast conditions

Zimbabwe definitely won’t get a lead, this wicket is gonna get difficult to bat on.

We have two brilliant openers in imran butt and abid ali. Two modern day greats babar and rizwan and two reliable veterans in azhar and fawad. Miles better than India.

calling our batting minnow after scoring 400 plus is OK but my reply of calling this pessimism is not Ok, sometimes I wonder the criteria of monitoring replies.

Why bringing India into discussion bro? And anyway we have good number 3 to 6 but for every man to man India is better from 1st to 7th position. You can make case for Pak current tail being little better.
 
You could see why Fawad isnt or wasnt ever suited to ODI/T20i cricket.

The guy seriously struggles to hit the ball even though he has way more intent to hit hard as compared to Babar Azam

There is nothing easier than scoring Test runs on a placid wicket against a minnow level attack.

When you apply run rate pressure and force the players to take risks, the situation changes for them.

Same Fawad will struggle against any half-decent attack if he is forced to take risks and play outside his comfort-zone.
 
Excellent inning by Fawad with perfect lead of 250. Good contributions by openers, Rizwan and Hasan Ali.

You are on a roll man, now calling this effort of 426 minnow level to calling out best batsman in this innings who scored 140, bhai nobody claiming we are top 4 side or better than your favorite India in test batting, but we atleast have 5th best middle order form number 3 to 7 ( including Saud or. harris). or kamran ghulam or usman sulah udin potentially.

Yep, all 3 knocks have come under pressure but for me the South Africa one was the best.

Yep, very emotional knock that for Fawad. The punch he hit for 4 off of Trent Boult was something else. He’s grabbed chances so he has and think he’s growing in confidence now understanding his role and knowing he mustn’t throw it away ie playing that Misbah/Younis role.
 
Expect better batting display from Zimbabwe second time around unless spinners get help from.pitch.

Hassan Ali did well, good enough from the tail. Doesn’t matter when we’ve got a good enough lead.

He literally took a 10 fer in his last test match for God’s sake.

There’s still a question of how good he will be in SENA, but for now we’re not due to tour there within the next two years thanks to the new WTC cycle, and he’ll do a fine job at home and in SL, Ban and the Caribbean.
 
We need to be careful and don't think match is already in the bag and inning win certain, if Zim somehow score 400 then 150 target is enough for us to do what we do best ij 4th inning, i mean self imploding and gifting the match on platter.

Very bad bowling session for Pakistan. Already 36 runs erased and not got a single wicket.
 
It's only matter of a wicket then Zimbabwe will not score more than 250. You expect a good fightback from them playing home albeit they had few scares already.

This is a test match you do not normally expect a wicket with only 36 on board. Having said that Pak dropped one and few others went in no man's land.
 
Should have had two wickets by now.

Hasn't been great bowling on Pakistan's part.
 
Hasan ali bowling and batting in 1st innings and fawad alam batting century are the only genuine plus points .

The rest of the cricket by pakistan has been below par and lacklustre
 
Good fight back by Zimbabwe but I reckon spin should come on for an over or 2 just to see if there’s any turn for the spinners.
