Karamat Ali to Doolan, no run, goes for a frontfoot defense but was deceived by the spin

So he can actually spin the ball. Finally an attacking option.

I've seen the guy bowl. He's very talented, spins the ball both ways; his googly in particular is really impressive, but the best thing about him is his control. Many legspinners bowl those longhops very frequently, but this guy has really good control and doesn't give away many runs; can easily play all three formats.

Sadaf could have easilyn played over Attaullah mind boggling to play a chucker

need an attacking legspinner. Int cricketers have forgotten how to play quality legspin as they don't come across it much.

This post combined with the tweets ref. above make me hopeful for future of Pak cricket.

none of the bowlers have made a major claim for the test spot lets hope Karamat picks a few and who knows he might suddenly be in reckoning.

Smith retired out hope Karamat is not replaced and gets the chance to bowl at the new batsman.

I think Steven Smith will be highest run scorer in the upcoming series.

No video highlights so far. They had prelim he highlights yesterday

It'll be interesting to see who comes in next.

I think Aus will stick with bowlers from hereon and leave Maxwell out as they want to get the players who will be playing in the Tests a look in.

Interesting tweet...

Raza has been a huge let down. Karamat has spun the ball Raza has rarely moved it a centimeter.

I've said this before as well that he isn't a big spinner of the ball..May be that can work in ODIs and T20s but I don't think in tests you can survive without some good spin.

Karamat Ali to Johnson, no run, frontfoot defense but misses the ball, loud appeal not out says the umpire

Strange/Stupid decision by PCB to play Ataullah if he was reported for chucking. I read he was cleared at NCA but he has changed his action in no time?
Should have given Sadaf Hussain a go in this match.

yeah can't believe they wwasted a spot on a chucker when someone like Sad would have benefited more.

unfortunately none of the selected bowlers has made a strong case for selection.

Karamat Ali to Johnson, OUT, goes to the backfoot and gets trapped right infront of the stumps

MG Johnson lbw b Karamat Ali 7 (15b 0x4 1x6) SR: 46.66

O keefe survives a loud appeal karamat on fire hitting pads of both right and left handers positive sign

if we can give Aus a targe of 200 odd it would be a fun little last day.

Good to see Karamat take a wicket, but why has Ehsan bowled just 6 overs ?

Pretty happy with this. Two batsman had good performances and retired out. Doolan is well disciplined and will hopefully do well here and provide a partner for Warner, Clarke and Smith.

Smith's in very good form and has adapted to the conditions nicely.

Bit concerned by Marsh but you can't really tell if he's out of form or not.

unless something drastic happens this innings sets in stone what I wanted : rahat and ehsan to be the pacers

I hope Warner plays. He's an exciting Test player to watch, seeing as though our openers are so lethargic in scoring runs, I'll be more than happy seeing Warner do so.

Any news about his fitness?

Also Rahat Ali is such an awful bowler. I'd rather we play Ehsan as an opening bowler and the rest being spinners. That's how bad he is.

The news over here suggesting that Warner missing this was just a precaution and that he is almost certain to play in the tests

Cricinfo match report has me mentioned Rahat being more impressive amongst the fast men.

lol@ everyone taking 1 wicket each... sums up pakistan selection dilemmas! who to pick? your guess is as good as mine!
