Haris is so badly out of form, he should not have been selected!
Upto shafi and bobby, if they fail, we wont even get 200, but if they suceed , 400 can be on the cards.

The amount of times Junaids has insulted Hazlewood and now he took the biggest wicket.

We will struggle to get to 150.rizwan will be a walking wicket here

So after a collapse there's a 90% chance that you get a very late partnership that sorts of prevents teams from total humiliation. So let's hope it is that and not the 10%

Babar's issue in Tests has always been that he doesn't know how to restraint himself. It looks great when it comes off (like it did in South Africa), but it doesn't always work. Needs to learn a thing or two from Azhar and Asad on how to stay patient and focused.

After a good start a collapse was inevitable with us. Here I was thinking Haris Sohail was similar to Brian Lara when he started out!:ashwin

Complete waste of time. We should have only played 3 T20Is with New Zealand getting 5 Tests in Australia.

We are rubbish in all formats. Pakistan cricket has become a joke. That day isn’t far off when we won’t even get invited to Australia.

So now Iftikhar will have to help with the recovery even in tests? :virat

Pakistan's top 3 have SR's less than 50. Lineup construction is a thing and Pakistan have been awful at it.

It’s 4 for 3!!!! Entire morning work is spoiled by that one shot of Babar. And looking at the track, PAK bowlers will need some score on board.

I can only laugh at the posters who think the Australian bowlers have to tamper with the ball to dismiss our batsmen.

The promising thing about his knock in the warm up was that he seemed to do exactly that. Left the ball well and didn't play rash strokes. Hope that knock didn't make him overconfident. Came out today and just swung the bat at everything and got out in embarrassing fashion.

No coach in the world can help this group of batsmen if they insist on giving their wickets away like that. If Mickey was still around, you'd see him fuming, absolutely fuming in the dressing room.

That shot from Babar was a slap on face of every1 who dare to compare him with Kohli

True, batted really well in that game. He has the ability, absolutely no doubt, but it's frustrating when he gets out this way.

lol and here I was feeling optimistic. Pakistan cricket at its finest :yuvi Babar whhyyyy

Babar did what he has been doing in test cricket. It isn't one day or t20s where you can go with the flow.

Iftikhar struggled with the short ball in the warmup and the T20 at Perth. Will be interesting to see how he fares here.

Hahahahaha

Talk nah

When I said Pakistan were playing slow, y’all said go watch T20.

But this is what happens, you tuk tuk, couple of wickets fall, batsmen go into pressure, then collapse starts.

Now it’s 80-4 and more tuk tuk is required. Pakistan is going nowhere at the moment.

The players are rubbish but Misbah can’t bat, lead or coach in Australia. This place has always been above his talents and capabilities.

Australians are nasty. They mocked Babar and forced him to play that rash shot the next ball.

Aussies are so pumped up I don't think lyon will get more than a couple overs in this session

I mean... Root scored 2 today and Kohli recently made 0 soooo no biggie :salute

This is the most Misbah-induced collapse you could imagine.

Just like the old days.
Misbah 1: Tuk tuk tactics creating scoreboard pressure and keeping the opposition in the game.

Misbah 2: Then a collapse as the remaining batsmen try to score what they can before the second new ball.

Misbah 3: No runs from the tail because the all-rounders have been left at home.

Red ball Tests in Australia feature 60 overs from overs 20 to 80 when you need to score at 4 runs per over.

Now after 40 overs they are 77-4 instead of 130-3.

I'm just asking as I don't have the stats, when was the last time Pak scored 4 runs per over from 20 to 80 outside UAE?

Next time the Aussies will give us one Test. I am afraid Pak Cricket is going down the toilet at an incredible rate. We saw our openers played to preserve their wickets instead of scoring runs. Our batsmen no matter who we play are simply not international class.

How hard is it to rotate strike for these idiots. They just don't have enough shots in the book. Should be practicing a dozen different strokes for every type of delivery

You can blame Misbah all you want, but this failure is down to individual batsmen. No coach can help you if you want to play shots like the one Babar and Haris played.

Bold prediction, but I don't think Babar will ever come good in Tests like we want him to. 55 FC matches and 21 Tests later, he still averages mid 30s..His rash tendencies and impatience won't let him. He'll still be our best white ball cricketer though.

Babar 1 or 2 down will make sense, would probably instill responsibility in him as well.

As expected you were hiding during the first session, though this team is awful.

Exactly. He only popped on and commented as soon as Pakistan lost first wicket and said oh i just put the cricket on and Masood out. What a coincident everytime Pak doing well he's hiding as soon as a wicket falls that's when he comments and makes it look he only start watching it now.

Clearly Ifti is not going to get anything in his half. He has to take it on chin till tea until three pacers are tiered.

The 21 Tests are included in the 55 FC matches. So he has played 34 domestic matches and 21 Tests. Still a decent amount of games.

Will there ever be a day when we'll have batsmen that aren't scardey-cats on the crease? Like, I'm not asking for world class talent, just some confidence and self belief

Every single guy, barring Babar I guess, looks like he's scared for his life! Tentative pokes, inside edges, mistimed shot...

Kohli was averaging 44 till 2015 in test cricket
Now 55, things can change

Pakistan got 90 all out 1st innings at Brisbane in 16/17. Now it's 90/4. Improvements :19:
