Pakistan close on 198/4 in the 2nd Test at Multan, requiring another 157 runs to win

India at home destroyed every team but no one talk as much England winning at home .we want our team to win away series .
 
20s and 30s in 2nd inns of a run chase aint going to win a match here.
 
Fully expect Pakistan to be all out between 200-250.

Another 4-5 haul loading for the legendary James Anderson.

Its obvious they will adabt their batting according to the pitch and bowling quality. Point being when conditions are right they have taken many attacks apart with their positive approach and ability.
 
Dont be shocked if we lose a wicket straight after tea as we keep losing wickets at start of a session.

Well then no complain he is playing to his capability, better than Azhar who looks he could be out any over. The issue for me is Salman as he does jot look solid or talented to score big runs.
 
They lure us back only to have more misery 219 runs with 7 wickets and having a plethora of all rounders ain't rocket science, but Pakistan are Pakistan

If Pakistan gets to 300-5 or so, then England will become very worried about this one.

For now, it’s just keep plugging away and see what happens in the next 2 sessions I guess.

With effective and experienced Root as part time bowler, and all rounder Jack, England have plenty bowling options without Stoke needing to bowl.
 
Positive star after tea ,this is how they should bat untill end of Today without losing wicket .220-3 then Pakistan favourite to ein this test match .

198 more. Earlier this year, Pakistan scored 443 against Australia and that remains the highest 4th innings in Pakistan. Before that, it was 316 or so.

A lot of work but it is not impossible.

Bowlers who only turn it one way usually have a weak side. Even Swann, who got lots of drift was much better against lefties than righties..
 
Match is 50-50 now . another wicket lilt in England favor and another 50 runs Pakistan favourite to win

Even if they’ve played well so far. I want to see one of these guys see it through and prove that they are not just content to do “a little better than the rest” so they cannot be blamed.

If Ramiz really advised the selection of these "bits n pieces adding up to nothing" allrounders for Tests then he has made a huge blunder and placed Babar's captaincy under pressure as a result (I don't think you can remove it from Babar because there is literally no one else).

The solution is more Shaheens tours to help promising batsmen make a case and gain wider experience to bridge the gap between FC & Test. Matter of finding some of this money from home matches to fund that if possible.

England wouldn’t have played the way they played. Look at the bowling attack , worst in 1st test more than worst in 2nd test. Wat else do u expect them to do. Also they wouldn’t have declared the way they did if it wasn’t Pakistan. They knew this team is rubbish even in their own backyard
 
It’s unanimous amongst the commentators that these are the flattest conditions of the match so far. Very little movement, no pace, no bounce.

big 100s needed here, time for someone to actually make a career defining knock, rather then soft runs when there is no pressure.

If he makes a 150 here I’ll give him credit for a great innings regardless of conditions
 
I have no problem with FTBs if they actually punish the bowling on FTs. I hate players who even despite a flat track just block block block

When English batters were batting it was not flat at certain stages, so yes oosters need to learn to appreciate when someone is playing sensibly no matter what tge conditions
 
England error prone in the second innings.

Two poor run outs, an ill judged shot from Stokes with the bat, a couple of dropped catches off the spinners, bowling the ineffective Leach for way too long, no balls, bad use of reviews.

At the moment England aren’t showing that they are good enough to win this series.
 
England had the option of burying Pakistan while batting in the second innings but they kept going for 4s and sixes.
Also some LOI style run outs.
Still it's England's game to lose.
 
Good going by this pair. Just need to stay not out here today. The wicket seems to have eased out a bit?
 
I have to give Abdullah the benefit of doubt - special delivery at pace.

Babar and Riz had time due to the slower pace

These two still need to add another 80-100 runs tbh. Can't trust the psuedo Allrounders to score more than 50 collectively
