Itz safe to say that Fakhar has been found out. He needs to do something to that ball that cramps him up if we wants to continue his career.
going the route of jamshed

Imam looking clueless
I want to see a Fakhar special!
Seems sogoing the route of jamshed
Fakhar is clearly doubting his game. So tentative.

This was Malik's first game (as makeshift Captain) - everything he touched turned gold, but need to see few more games, before drawing a conclusion. Two glaring difference is, he is calm, composed and he empowers bowlers (these are adults, you know, don't need to baby sit every ball). 2nd is that he was always looking for wickets and if track doesn't offer much, tried to crate a choke by restricting singles. The collapse started with Faf's wicket which was almost manufactured, otherwise a set Faf shouldn't have gone for that shot when 275 was on the cards. Today, SAF had only one partnership around 100 and this was the biggest difference - once PAK got one end open, made sure that new batsman doesn't get it easy. Against 4-5 attacking, wicket taking bowlers, if you can make new batsman choke, this sort of collapse can happen.
And, this should always be PAK's game - operate with 10 wickets, rather than 50 overs. Misbah, Azhar & Sarfraz allowed the game to drift away too many times - often one big partnership had beaten PAK. Calculative batting isn't teams strength, neither containment should be the tactics of the bowling unit. Core of PAK cricket is aggressive, attacking bowling.
Finally, I have to say team responded brilliantly to Malik, something PCB needs to notice. May be players are not saying/showing it open, but definitely there is a lack of trust/comfort between Sarfraz & team. Players looked happy today and relaxed. This is definitely not that good a side, but performed even worse than their level - today, they punched above weight; we have to wait a bit to know if it's one off or there is a genuine support (silent) for Malik as Captain.
Next game will be a cracker of a match...
Well hopefully![]()
our fans wouldn't even be happy with a bradman type player.
they'll find something to complain about
We will win this.
Probably, he won't be required to bat, but my hunch is Mian is going to send Rizwan at 5 today![]()
143 kph from Steyn. fastest today.
I try not to dwell too much on body language but fakhar looks defeated at the crease throughout the tour
I understand their frustration but they should show more patience and that is how players are developed.
While I am also frustrated with Sarfraz’s captaincy but I also know that patience wont do much in this.

Come to think of it, Pakistan should have ben 4-0 up by the end of today.
SA is actually way below India, England and New Zealand
Why is fakhar so defensive?
He is so low on confidence rn.
1 good knock just one
our fans have no patience, they are way too fickle.
i think sarfraz we can all agree upon, that he needs to go.
stay home with his family, collect his psl pay cheque and watch with his son and wife and create memories of watching our team play and yelling at the tv instead
Brilliant fielding. SA still know how to field.
5 dropped catches previous game, SA sTiLl KnOw HoW tO fIeLd
Should send him 2 down to give a nice finishing touch.![]()

Hafeez will be upset then - Malik can only exchange his spot as a make shift Captain. In any case, Rizwan ideally shouldn't bat below 5.
Certainly a lot better for the bowlers this Johannesburg track.
They are allowed to have an off day. Your telling me Faf and Miller aren't world class fielders ?
Kagiso Rabada is playing this match too lol.
Amazing fitness!
Above Australia though
