Pakistan defeat New Zealand by 4 wickets to win the 3rd T20I; NZ win series 2-1

Golf has had a positive impact on Hafeez’s cricket. No sport requires greater powers of concentration and mental discipline. Not to mention complete control over your emotions.

Rizwan has been playing for a very long time, and is a domestic giant in t20. He made his debut in 2015.

He falls too much over the ball which is why he plays too many dots of whatever comes towards his upper body. He needs to stand tall to handle such balls

I saw players looking to rotate strike and to avoid dot balls when Mickey was the coach , because even Babar was not that good in rotating strike when he came in. Now that urgency is shelved, because King of tuk tuk is in charge.

I watched Haider Ali in the U19 series against South Africa and the U19 WC. Looked a terrific, classy batsman. Rotated the strike well, timed the ball effortlessly and played with soft hands.

Fast forward, and we’ve converted him to a leg-side hack who continuously plays slog after slog in T20s. This is exactly what we did with Umar Akmal, and what we do for any batsman with a semblance of a power game. With the mentality and quality of coaching we have, Pakistan can never produce a batsman along the lines of Bairstow, Banton, Warner etc.

Haider and Abdullah should have been allowed to play first-class cricket this year. I’m certain that with the improved quality, they would have struggled initially and then improved their game. Instead we seem intent on ruining the careers of two of our best talents before they’ve started.

How do you manage to find a guy that not only plays like McCullum, but looks like him as well?

Solid innings by Rizwan. Deluded fans would be doing cartwheels and distributing mithai if Haider or Shafique were playing this knock.

Sir Rizwan Richards has scored 34 from 28 with 5 fours. Scored just 14 from 23 balls, how good would be if he minizes his dot ball percentage

Dont comapre this with u19. In u19 you dont play anything over 138k. Haider problem is when it goes over 140k and bounces towards him. He opens up and is forced to play the ball leg side.

I have come to the conclusion that we dont give any more debuts to players under Misbah/Waqar. They can work with the experienced players and do what they have to. They will just end a lot of promising careers otherwise. I see no one ... absolutely no one .... trying to even out think the opposition. They are just relying on your muscle memory and hoping for the best. We need someone to coach these guys and get them to do some thinking too.

I really hope Rizwan gets out soon. This innings is useless and going nowhere, when you need 9 RPO

This is not a bad knock from Rizwan considering he is the only wicket keeper batsman that our management can see. If you are coming good every 3rd game, by that logic he will perform for us by the time we have been kicked out of world t20. But worry not, his form in test matches will make up for it.

Whats disappointing is that we are not able to boss the likes of satner and sodhi. Even last year in aus, we played the likes of zampa and agar with such great caution. Needs to put pressure on these bowlers.

No wonder that the worst fielder in the NZ team is someone of Asian descent.

35 from 30 with 5 fours. That's actually a bad knock so far. Would be good if he could accelerate, but he can't

going by the first 2 matches, hes playing a gem. I hate him just as much as everyone else but, what are our options with babar out?

This is how you play the likes of neesham. This guy should be going for over 10 an over

Congrats y'all. Rizwan is batting has reached his highest score at his highest scoring rate.

Previous best that match winning 33* of 32 balls against Zimbabwe in 2015.

And that outstanding 31 of 33 in 2019 against Australia (that too facing 15 overs of a match)

:clap

He’s great right now with Babar out of the picture. Problem is he’s a horrible anchor, but the only anchor we have.

I’m afraid we’ll play Rizwan and Babar as our opening pair moving forward.

We could have tried sarfarz in this game. I know he is no better, maybe even worse. But with him getting no chance to play in tests, what is the purpose of him taking to NZ

Sir Rizwan Richards needs to get out before req RR jumps to 12 an over

That's not his role. Younis made it clear that he's there to hold one end while the other batsman 'dominates'. Today, Rizwan is doing what Babar does for us

babar and haider will be our openers hopefully.

There's a lot of clarity and decisiveness in Hafeez's batting. He looks to be in a happy place and enjoying his cricket at the moment. Long may it continue!
