Pakistan fightback to restrict Australia to 187/6 at Stumps on Day 3 of the 2nd Test

9 runs this over.

Few more like this.

Afridi played a decent hand, but you feel Aussies will wrap this innings up quickly now

Argh Shaheen goes LBW to Lyon after making his highest test score of 21

Hasan Ali comes to bat, and they show Noman Ali Picture hahahah oh wow lol

Lyon may be hard to play in last inning here. Ball is turning for him.

Last two wickets should try to add 30 runs here. Just paly shots. blocking won't work.

Photo of Nouman Ali when Hasan Ali comes in to bat! What a cock-up!

It looked it hit Shaheen outside the line but ball tracking showed inline .. strange !!

Hasan Ali likes to hit them big, AJ will have to be the one to try to steady the innings, from here on end, and try to close the lead gap as much as possible

Some serious inconsistency is happening as the DRS always appears to be supporting Australia

Good shot 250 is here. Another 30 runs here.

Jamal came to the crease when Pak was at 170. Pakistan is now at 250. So out of the 80 runs scored, Jamal has contributed just 22 haha

Main thing, he put a price on his wicket. Now he is getting some runs.

Agreed. Plus it was high.
High as well!!

That Lbw decision of Marsh changed the entire complex of the match.. if that was given out Pak wd have been in lead now.. it was such a crucial decision.

Ian Smith: Jamal could develop into a fine all-rounder

The difference between the two sides is the extras.

Magnificent bowling from Cummins. Roughed up Hasan Ali with a brutal bouncer and then bowls a rip snorter through the gates.

One of the greats of the game.

Great work Aamer Jamal!

And wow what incredible bowling by Pat Cummins.

Good fight back by Pakistan. Only 60 runs deficit.

Pakistan must look to skittle out Aus for around 200 and set themselves a target of 270-280 and hope for the best.

Was not needed Hamza Bhai, but no worries Pakistan did a lot better than what most could have imagined

Had Pakistan been bowling well and in around 140kph or more then you could say they could use the conditions but the bowling has been very poor throughout the series.

Hamza had to just block and let Jamal hit.

shoulda taken a 2nd, shouldn't have gone for the big swipe as a no. 11
54 lead is valuable to the aussies, feel like we will need to be extra exceptional and bowl them out for <200 to stand any chance

I am absolutely loving this Jamal guy, a 5fer in the previous game and now this innings. Would have been nice to see if he got an extra over or two but a brain fart by Hamza, not Hamza’s fault as he is batting at number 11 for a reason. Now get Australians out cheaply so we have a match to watch for another day or so.

If we didn't conceede that many extras the deficit would have been less than 40.

Pakistan bowlers have to make sure that the run rate is under control. Attack in the first hour and then reassess.
If you can't get them out then make sure that they have to play a lot of overs to get to a big lead.

Starc and Hazlewood both looked toothless. Only Cummins who hits the pitch hard got something from the pitch. Otherwise it's a good batting track now. Pakistan doesn't have a hit the pitch hard bowler in their ranks. Australia probably would score 350 here easily.

Jamal does hit the deck hard ..

Pakistan have to bowl out the Aussies for under 200.

250+ chase is well out of reach especially when you have mental midgets like Imam and Babar.
