With newcomer Salman the only batsman left it looks very difficult for Pakistan to get this big total. Perhaps Rizwan will provide a big inning today.

Azhar will torment Pak fans for another 2-3 years. He is pretty safe.
 
Very impressed with AS’s strike rate and Babar really stepping on it.

This is the right approach, knock down the runs as quickly as you can and keep the momentum flowing

Babar has the confidence of a lion right now. Comes with the ability tbf, but Abdullah has stepped out of his comfort zone a bit and it's impressive.
 
Abdullah must not forget to score here. Going into the shell a bit.The pitch will deteriorate, it will get tougher.
 
Salman is also poor choice for test cricket.Saud shakeel is more more deserving.similarly i feel Nawaz is more of white ball cricketer rather than playing him front line off spinner

Salman I agree. Nawaz is good enough to be the main spinner in this team as he has shown here.

Pathum Nissanka has been released from the squad.
He was released from the squad to ‘rest and recover.’
Nissanka tested positive for Covid-19 while the player was taking part in the Australia Tour of Sri Lanka.

We don't have many spin options, our best spinner who was a one man wrecking crew and the MVP of our test team from 2014-2019 Yasir is now washed so we need to find some new spinners.

I doubt that like Asad Shafiq if he continues playing like trash he will be dropped by the end of the year. He should have some self respect and see the writing on the wall and just retire himself, but unlike English players who retire 2/3 years before they need to our players stick around 2/3 years longer.

agreed but he got you 5 wickets he is improving day by day...Pak absolutely messed the selection. No need for Hasan Ali...Naseem or Salman Agha..they should have gone with Shaheen and faheem as seamers with Nauman ali as third spinner plus Faddy or Shan. I am telling you this will happen next match

Yeah, as I see it they will replace Naseem with Nouman, Agha with Fawad.
I'd like to see Saud getting a game here. Hopefully they are brave enough to drop Azhar.
 
This Azhar Ali is 37 years old and has played 95 tests and yet he can't play slow left arm bowling if his life depended on it.
He is the worst batsman ever to play this many matches.
He is just awful man. It's all misbah the destroyer of Pakistan cricket fault. He is the one who was responsible for developing these losers Azhar Ali and Asad Shafiq.
 
Pakistan going at a rr close to 3 in Test cricket is like going at a rr of 9 in ODI cricket for them

Ok lmao chill out talk about reaching. He's certainly way past it and needs to be dropped but if in your opinion the worst batsman to play 90+ test matches is Azhar Ali a man who has scored a double century in Australia and a triple hundred you don't know what you're talking about.

In just his 6th test Shafique has proven certain deluded posters on PP wrong by playing this awesome knock in a high-pressure run-chase.

Really a befitting reply to those who called him 'mentally weak' and ' too defensive'. Its patently obvious that they don't know what they are talking about.

Because the simple fact is that there aren't many 22 year olds in the world who are even capable of playing an innings like this.

Okay I can understand Dickwella is a piece of garbage and stooping to his pathetic levels. But THE FACT that the Sri Lankan commie is defending him talking about "there's no such thing as spirit of cricket" while the other commie is tryna talk some sense into him is just outrageous.
