Great games today! Shahab Khan, Yasir Khan, and Mohammad Haris really lit up the field as the stars of their matches - incredible skills on display!

And you have and if you know you spin, you won't take long to know what's what. Our spinners bar Qadir and Asgher can't spin the ball, this means no threat. And those lack control. Sajid was truly awful for PK.
An economy of 2.99 in Tests, that too includes some tough ones at home on Pindi roads

That should tell you that he has the ability to control and land the ball in one place. Something our national team spinners (Shadab, Nawaz and Mir) have failed to demonstrate…which lead to Pakistan’s horror show in India and the Asia cup.

I’m not saying Sajid is the answer, but all I am saying is that you cannot write him off without even seeing what he is capable of, that too at a time of desperate need where you need bowlers who can just bowl on one spot in the middle overs.

South Africa took a punt with Keshav Maharaj who only seemed to have skills to bowl in Test cricket, he is now the number 1 ODI bowler in the world. Until I haven’t seen Sajid bowl regularly as a white ball cricketer, I will not write him off

Bowling line and length in tests helps to keep the economy down but his action will not allow sharp spin, he doesn't spin the ball, he rolls it out.
As far as the shorter formats are concerned, you still need spin to take wickets. He won't be awful but he won't take PK forward. You need spin to have long term success in any format-It is monumental failure of the system and the individuals that the likes of Asgher and Qadir and others like them not have developed with such talent.

BTW Maharaj can give it a fair rip

Who has Omair bin Yousuf in PSL?

He has to be number 1 pick in the emerging category for me!

Just bowl a short delivery to these batsmen,it's a guarantee wicket. Shocking level of batting on display.

Argh, i was hoping for Shehzad to get his 5th 50's in a row.

Impressive stuff from Yasir Khan after hitting a match winning century, he gets another match winning and unbeaten 87 while rest of his teammates were fairly useless and the most impressive part is, 7 sixes after hitting 8 last match. Will be interesting to see if he can get selected in PSL and truly make a name for himself.

Haris continues to impress. Destructive stuff in the PP and the team completely collapsed after he got out. Looks like the pitch became difficult to bat on once the ball got a bit older. This is why making useless of the PP is huge, you never know how the pitch will play out once it ends.

Umar akmal looks a genuine no 10 these days and some people want him in the team lol.

Worth pointing out, issues that have haunted Pakistan in recent years cotinue to be the same issues with no obvious solutions in sight.

Lack of high quality spinners & lack of middle order options (iftimania going strong though!). Pretty much every batsmen dominating the tournament are top order guys. Every team at minimum needs to try young & talented spinner(s) & one pace all-rounder.

These PKR 25,000 man of the match awards are a bit concertning

Karachi, 3 December 2023: Karachi Whites, coming off a loss of 56 runs against Peshawar the previous day, bounced back by defeating Lahore Whites by 63 runs at the National Bank Stadium in the 12th match of the Super Eight stage of the AH Group Presents Jazz Super 4G National T20 Cup.

End of the an excellent power-play for Lahore Blues. They are 61/0 with both the openers Umar Siddiq and imran Butt batting really nicely.

Nisar is no doubt a good bowler may be a late bloomer but has got his basics right , Btw shocking standard of batting overall in this tournament apart from 3/4 new finds

Sajjad Ali Jr. played a useful innings of 56 runs off 42 balls to help his team Abbottabad get a win over Karachi Whites. These are highlights of his innings.

Certain group of people were angry over 6 regional team setup. But honestly that was the best system to ensure quality.
Various groups in PCB,journalist community and political parties have big egos and vested interests. They were against 6 team setup from the start because it was setup by someone whom they hate. These groups have no interest in improving quality of cricket in Pakistan. They could have added 2 teams to the 6 team system if they felt 6 teams are too few.

Well, Usman Qadir's performances are exceptional in ongoing t20 tournament. But can't understand why he can't replicate it for pct in internationals. Still one thing is clear, he could be considered for ct 2025 as that is happening in Pakistan.

there are some utterly clueless batsman in this comp, clueless batsman struggle against leg spin more than anything else, and international level you dont have more than 1 or 2 clueless batsmen in an xi, so just having variation isnt enough. that's where usman qadirs lack of consistency let him down, because as soon as he goes looking for wickets he starts leaking runs

Too much whinging about the quality. I am actually looking at it from a positive POV. There are so many new, emerging players being given a chance.

The quality of the tournament would also improve if the national players were available for it just like they were in the 6 team tournament.

Otherwise, it’s still good to see young players being given a chance to showcase their talent, or their weaknesses for everyone to see.

Bowlers/batters who have looked half decent.

Amir Khan
Nisar Ahmad
Arif Yaqoob

Ammad Alam

Omair Bin Yousuf(future star)

Well deserved for Lahore whites. Playing rubbish Umar akmal for so long along with their shameless captain saad Nasim who is playing munib wasif as a specialist fielder doesn't get to bat or ball. Poor guy.

This is such a good 4th wicket partnership between Afaq and KG

Not sure the purpose of abbas ali. Seen him play a few times he's bang average. Should play maaz sadaqat ahead of him.

Can I ask those who kept on whinging about the quality of the multi team tournament,

Where were these batsmen of Abbotabad playing in the 6 team tournament?
