Umar Akmal looks so far gone, I am surprised he is being picked for these teams.

Terrible fat cricketer.
He's probably the worst player in this super 8 stage. The was an embarrassing innings to say the least. He should just retire and look for an alternative career. Cricket is not for him anymore.

He is Pakistan’s pride. But the others are all chokers. Fact

Your welcome
Before that when we won the ICC trophy. It was Shahid Afridi and Umar gul. So that's 66% of our ICC trophy from Pashtoon players. Thanks for coming.

The standard of batting is awful. It was only yesterday people telling how the standard would improve but it hasn't. Pathetic is the only way you can describe this rubbish

Qasim Akram has been awful of late. Plus he's not getting to bowl either. iftikhar doesn't have any competition at the moment which is annoying as iftikhar has been awful at internationals too.

The batting and fielding is beyond awful. As I said at this rate Babar and co can play till 60s that's how bad these guys are.

Looks like no one can play the short ball. Every pacer (except 2) got out top edging a short ball.
Shoaib Malik's wicket was a beauty though.

it’s a domestic tournament and looking around Pakistan doesn’t have many all time great young batsmen coming through surprise surprise it’s been like that for a long time there’s not going to be a sudden change to please you now is there.

Karachi, 1 December 2023: Karachi Whites emerged on top against Lahore Blues at National Bank Stadium in Karachi in the fourth match of the National T20 Cup’s Super Eight stage, which commenced today. Karachi Whites bowlers outclassed the Lahore Blues batting line-up, as the latter could only manage 145 while chasing 165, losing the game by a margin of 19 runs.

Lahore Blues had a disappointing day with the bat as the side was all out in 19.4 overs. Lahore’s top-order collectively failed to show up, as the side got off to a faltering start crashing to 36-7. Hashim Ibrahim’s knock of 22 from 19, including three fours, allowed a semblance of stability in the chase while wickets kept falling on the other end.

Veterans Umaid Asif (24, 18b, 1x6) and Kashif Bhatti (50, 45b, 6x4s, 2x6s) stitched together a partnership of 61 to rebuild the innings. Usman Qadir (13 not out, 5b, 1x4, 1x6) and Hunain Shah (12, 3b, 2x6s) played fiery cameos at the fag end of the innings but their efforts came too late in the chase.

Left-arm spinner Danish Aziz and left-arm fast bowler Ghulam Mudassar took three wickets apiece. They were helped by right-arm pacer Aftab Ibrahim, who picked up two wickets as well.

Earlier, after losing the toss, Karachi Whites were put into bat first. The Asad Shafiq-led side scored 164-9 in the allotted 20 overs. Wicketkeeper-batter Azam Khan, who scored 41 from 22 balls including five fours and two sixes, was the highest run-getter for his side. Ammad Alam (28, 17b, 3x4s, 2x6s) and Danish Aziz (24, 28b, 3x4s) also chipped in with crucial runs to take Karachi Whites to a defendable total.

Right-arm pacers Hunain Shah and Nisar Ahmad returned with three wickets each.

Karachi Whites beat Lahore Blues by 19 runs

Adil Naz has something but going forward the lack of height will be an issue.

If Hunain can increase his pace by 5ks and if can learn an indipper he can walk in to pak bowling lineup for ODIs and T20is , he is young and definitely can improve

Any bowler who can consistently bowl outswing on good length with a bit of bounce and pace and can hit Yorkers at will is never average even if he is 5.5 ft
there has never been a world class fast bowler, regardless of technical ability who has been shorter than 5'8. when your short your margin for error bowling quick is tiny.

I hope you are right, but I don't see what you see.
I am not saying he will become world class in upcoming years but saying that he has definitely got the potential to play for Pakistan as a good supporting bowler when our star bowlers are resting or unavailable as Hunain definitely has the basics

See if Khurram Shehzad can play for Pak test team then definitely Hunain has got higher ceiling then him , it’s totally another story if we unearth 6.3ft outswing bowler who can consistently bowl around 145k and can seam the delivery too then Ofcourse Hunain will not be needed

This guy Hunain Shah has some serious Yorkers. Deceptively quick and can bowl yorkers at will.

Best emerging players in this tournament so far

-Sahibzada Farhan 2.0
-Hunain Shah
-This opener called Amad (don’t know much about him but he looks serious)

Sahibzada for me looks the real deal!

Harris hit 50 runs in 10 shots (5 fours and 5 sixes)

Hell of a ball striker. This boy has the potential to him 50’s below 18 balls and hundreds before 40 balls

Mine is an instinctive reaction, it's not always right but on most occasions it is. I take your point about outswing and bowling at 86/87 and if he develops that on a consistent, he would be very good. He will get a few games for PK but I don't see any real long term prospects as an effective, top end bowler

How did Peshawar get bundled out for 134??

They were 66-1 in the powerplay!!

Pakistan in desperate need of a proper spinner in the middle overs but Chacha can’t find a place for Sajid Khan…

This is a blatant misuse of power. He doesn’t want Sajid to emerge as a potential option for Pakistan to prolong his own value as a utility all-rounder

Sajid Khan an is rubbish. He will be getting tonked for 80 off every one day game. When was the last time Sajid Khan even played a game of t20

Abbottabad beat FATA by 57 runs.

Peshawar win again. This time, they defended a low total to make it 3 wins in 3 in the Super 8 - and 3 losses in 3 for Lahore Blues.

Mohammad Haris starred with a quickfire fifty while Usman Qadir's 5-wicket haul was in vain.

Maybe you need to have watched Sajid for PK before you claim this injustice. A terrible action and no spin.

Well considering how poor the stocks are at national level, I want to see EVERY spinner up closely myself.

I do not believe that a guy capable of bowling at an economy of 3 in Test cricket, that too at Rawalpindi type wickets against Australia is incapable of giving you 24-60 balls with a decent performance

And you have and if you know you spin, you won't take long to know what's what. Our spinners bar Qadir and Asgher can't spin the ball, this means no threat. And those lack control. Sajid was truly awful for PK.
