In the absence of Saim Ayub, it will be interesting to see who opens for Pakistan in the second innings of the second Test. Babar Azam's highest first-class score of 266 came while opening, and he has experience in other formats as well. Or will Pakistan go with Kamran Ghulam to provide some support to Babar?

Bro it’s much tougher to get Rizwan out in T20s than it is in Tests

Man averages 47 in T20s and 40 in Test

But they can only get SA under 180 from here through Rizwan’s captaincy.

I am, I explained why he'll get out ASAP.

I'm not always after rizwan's head. I don't mind him in tests. He's medicore in tests and I will smack anyone who claims he's world class in tests but as a player I don't mind him. He's clearly pur best option in the test format.

The issue is mainly odi + T20. He's absolutely rubbish in those formats, and to top it off he occupies the most important positions in those formats.

No 3 and no 4 is the most important odi position while opening is the most important in t20.
 
Anyone noticed Rizwan not wearing GN spikes? He was wearing ASICS. Has he also been dropped by GN or he dropped them out of protest to Babar getting dropped by them?

Yeah, Saim got ruled out for 6 weeks but rizwan takes such injuries daily and walks out the next day 🤣🤣.

:rizwan will fight the coach and get the players he wants in the XI. He is a tactician. If whitewashing SA in SA in ODIs doesn’t make you believe in him, nothing will.

What players he wants? Saim Ayub to bat at 3 so he and Babar can open?
 
This is a good chance for the 4 seam bowlers to show can hack it at Test level in difficult conditions. The selectors can learn lot from these type of matches. At least 2 of these seamers should dropped as they're never going to make it at Test level.
 
I guess that trundler bug from that trundler mir has got Khurram as well.
He is trundling now.

I would agree with you if we were talking about any ordinary wicket-keeper batsman like Gilchrist or Sangakkara, but this is Kaptaan Rizwana, the all time super power of wicket-keeper batsmen ever produced
 
Keshav maharaj will be lethal here and i m sure zimbo will lose his wicket to him.

Could you explain what impact pace would have on one of the flattest pitches, other than wearing the bowler down or possibly causing player injuries?
 
Khurram bowling harmless pies. Even though he's quicker than the others, he gets the least bounce. Straight into the middle of the bat.
 
Khurram getting the treatment a short trundler deserves. In a way this is good ahead of the next test championship cycle.

This bowling lineup and the guy that selected them needs to be sacked. If I could say on here that if the wicket is dry, it doesn't look right, what are the guys that get paid to select this team doing picking a national team.
