Pakistan Super League Player Draft: Diamond, Gold, Silver and Emerging Lists revealed

Lahore, 11 November 2018: A total of 663 foreign and local players are part of the Diamond, Gold, Silver and Emerging rosters of the Pakistan Super League Player Draft.

On top of this, an impressive Platinum player roster this season includes the likes of AB de Villiers, Steve Smith, Kieron Pollard, Chris Lynn, Sunil Narine, Luke Ronchi, Thisara Perera, Corey Anderson, Shane Watson and Dwayne Bravo.

As part of this season's Draft, teams have the option of retaining up to 10 players from last season's squads. The retention window closes on 13 November.

The season has already seen a number of big ticket trades including the move of Windies spinner Sunil Narine and Pakistani batsman Umar Akmal from Lahore Qalandars to Quetta Gladiators. The trade window officially closes on 12 November.

Each squad of 16 players comprises three Platinum, three Diamond, three Gold, five Silver and two Emerging players.

I think, this year BD & NZ team will be busy for entire PSL period for 3 Tests, 3/5 ODIs & may be T20s from early FEB to late MAR, hence most of BD & Kiwi players missing that list.

I think the list is fine

It is pretty strange seeing the man of the tournament for PSL 1 in Ravi Bopara, and the batsmen who also made the most runs in PSL 1 in Umar Akmal are just merely in Gold category now. I guess times change. Probably good for Umar Akmal I guess more likely to get picked if he's in gold but it's strange seeing our former best T20 batsman there.

Interesting Zafar didn't make into to Gold category, I thought he might given the hype around him.

1 thing I would like to see for all teams that have a young Pakistani wicket keeper . No need for an overseas talent to take game time away from a young keeper. We need to develop another keeper.
