Pakistan U19s (179) bow out of the ICC U19 World Cup with a narrow 1-wicket defeat to Australia U19s (181/9) in the 2nd Semi-Final

Both Raza and Shah seems to be bowling in high 130's and low 140's. That's great pace for young bowlers who are 15 and 17.

I think the pace looks more due to the inexperienced batsmen. I would guess nothing is above mid 130s.

Just matter of one good ball .come on Pakistan you can do it. India - Pakistan dream final is on the way

Too much talk never helps.

Why can’t Pakistan ever hit the stumps in crucial moments!!!

Zeeshan is an awful bowler. Not much pace and horrible line and lengths.

Zeeshan has been a big disappointment in this WC. Did not live up to the hype at all

Can’t wait for Zeeshan to play for Peshawar Zalmi and end Babar’s captaincy once and for all

This was actually a good U-19 team that Pakistan had, too bad they chocked under pressure.

Kids learned the hard way.

They did ok though. Just lacked the killer touch in the end.

Lucky Australia. Bad luck Pakistan.

The score was too little to defend anyways. But good effort by Pakistani bowlers.

16 off the last wicket in a high pressure game. This is why Australia are the best in the world in cricket.

Never underestimate Australia. Don't know what they eat or drink to have that much bravery and mental toughness to eek out a win from extreme odds.

Some things never change.
Pak losing match from winning position. And India to lose in final against Aus.

What the logic of bowling a length ball outside off stump to a tailender?

I m excited for Raza only other than him all I don't see anyone making it big in international cricket.

Zeeshans dumb four cost the game at the end anyway was too brainless to keep bowling wicket to wicket like the others

Don't forget Arafat minhas would've been bowled out for way less and game would've been over long ago if not for his tight 10 overs

Raza is the only positive from this world Cup.

Even with bat he played a very important knock but I don't see him succeeding in international cricket but Ali Raza looks very impressive.

Ahh cricket how it changes day to day. Last game that edge from Zeeshan went onto the stumps and they won against Bangladesh, today it just misses the stumps and goes for 4.

A perfect game of cricket. One for the ages

Australia did their typical Aussie thing.

Pakistan were awesome in this tournament. They shouldn't feel bad.

I expect Australia to beat India in the final.

We probably had the best bowling attack in this worldcup if we had actually played this attack since first game,

Only blunder was to omit Riazullah from the playing XI when he is clearly a miles ahead as a batsmen than Haroon and our batting was too weak to not play him ,

Either the management is really dumb or Asfand and Haroon having strong parchis

Still a good worldcup nevertheless

Australia v Pakistan in Benoni, Second semi-final

Australia won by one wicket

Much like India on Tuesday, Australia decided to chase in the second semi-final against Pakistan. Hugh Weibgen's call was backed by his bowlers. Tom Straker led the charge with his six-wicket haul, to bowl out Pakistan for a modest total. Straker's 6/24 were the best figures by a bowler in a U19 World Cup semi-final or final.

An interesting chase brewed as Pakistan fought on the back of Ali Raza and Arafat Minhas. However, Australia managed to overcome Pakistan by the barest of margins.

How the chase unfolded

Harry Dixon and Sam Konstas helped Australia to a steady start in pursuit of 180. The duo added 33 runs in the first Powerplay. Ali Raza, however, struck back for Pakistan at the start of the second Powerplay. He got one to nip back in and sent back Konstas' off-stump cartwheeling.

Soon after, Pakistan had a lucky break in the 14th over when Hugh Weibgen hit a full toss from Naveed Khan straight into the hands of Haroon Arshad at cover. Wickets continued to tumble as a miscommunication led to the run out of Harjas Singh in the 16th over, while Ryan Hicks played on a Ubaid Shah delivery in the next over.

Dixon and Ollie Peake then came together to rebuild the Australia innings. Their steady progress was informed by positive strokeplay, and soon Australia's chase was back on track. Dixon brought up his half-century in the 24th over. However, just when the game was turning in Australia's favour, Arafat Minhas bowled Dixon with a beauty. The left-arm spinner bowled with control, and Australia's asking rate went up.

The arrival of Tom Campbell helped a left-right batting combination in operation. Campbell and Peake did a follow-up to the previous partnership and helped Australia edge closer to their ask. Pakistan needed a special act to bring them back into the game, and Minhas provided exactly that. He bowled Campbell for 25 in the 39th over. Then Raza removed Peake for 49 to leave the game evenly poised.

Raza's double-wicket final over put Pakistan just one away from an appearance in the final. However, MacMillan kept his cool and saw Australia through in the final over.

Straker reigns supreme with the ball

Shahzaib Khan and Shamyl Hussain were off to their usual safe start, overcoming the Australia new-ball bowlers in the initial overs. First change bowler, Tom Straker broke this stand. Shamyl Hussain tried to pull the bowler but was caught in the ninth over. Callum Vidler struck in the very next over, with the big wicket of Shahzaib Khan.

The southpaw, who had led Pakistan's scoring charts in the U19 World Cup, tried to pierce Vidler past point but his shot was intercepted by Hugh Weibgen.

Pakistan's troubles continued in the second Powerplay. Straker had his second in the 15th over and Raf MacMillan contributed soon after, by trapping Ahmad Hassan leg before. Azan Awais and Haroon Arshad tried to reverse the momentum by stitching a fifth wicket partnership, but when a returning Mahli Beardman cleaned up the latter with a beauty, Australia were right on top.

Awais and Arafat Minhas were able to hold their own over the next few overs, and freed their arms to pick the scoring rate. 50 runs came in the overs 31-40.

It was Straker who struck for Australia yet again, breaking the key partnership after he got Awais (52) to nick one behind. And when Minhas fell after scoring a fifty of his own, Pakistan were staring down the barrel. Straker cleaned up the tail to finish with 6/24.

Lost only because captain bowled Zeeshan when he was bowling terribly. Any other bowler would had done the job if Zeeshan did not bowl his last 2 overs.

India losing to Australia in the ICC final happens in senior cricket. In u-19 cricket, the roles are reversed.

In senior level India was red hot favorites. Here India underdogs. Already achieved more than expected. Losing is not a surprise

Indian seniors have the same proven bottlers bottling it in every final, whereas U19's have young blood who have no past baggage.

Pakistan U19 displayed remarkable efforts throughout the World Cup. Kudos to Arafat Minhas, Ali Raza and Ubaid Shah for their outstanding performances in the tournament. However, I'm not satisfied with our batters' performance; the lack of batting talent persists.
