Aussies looking a lil ragid here which is what we want to see

Difference is that unlike :uakmal Sarfraz would settle down and tuk tuk if the situation warranted it. Which is why Junior can keep on begging for chances while Sarfraz is scoring runs for Pakistan.

if Sarfraz fails with the bat in two matches, Misbah and Waqar will surely teach him a lesson won't they?:uakmal

I think even the most optimistic pak fans like me didn't have real hope that this scorecard could become a reality, 378/5, just amazing! Specially after what happened in the LOIs. But this is the unpredictable Pakistan for you.

Great stuff from Pakistan. They've been clinical after the poor start. Textbook test tactics, absorbed all the pressure early on and now slowly taking control of the game. If they get to 450+, They'll surely rule out one of the results.

And I really doubt if Australia can grit it out for a draw. They know only one way to bat and that might not suit them on this pitch.

trust me, pitch is as flat as a pancake :kohli

Sarfraz is really good against spin. No problem whatsoever.

If he can work on the short stuff a bit more he is actually a really good batsmen. Has a lot of depth to his game. Boundaries, plays spin really well, can rotate the strike. Needs to improve a bit on hitting the ball straight through the line, something which Shafiq does well but basically this man plays his game, reads the ball really well and play it on merit. Umar take note.

Great performance for now but aussies still have to bat and our attack isn't that experienced. Could still be a result match if aussies go big and then come at us!

I am getting very bad feeling of déjà vu of what happened in the first test in Sri Lanka :sanga

Sarfraz looks convincing against pace when he plays them in an orthodox fashion.

Shafiq ton is exactly what the doctor ordered. Come on boys. Let's get to 500.

but don't you think that problem with last with him forever the way he is technically built? He would have to make changes in his technique to get better of short balls.

Younis khans century really ignited this batting lineup which looked completely out of sorts in ODIs. Amazing what one inning can do to teams confidence ...

Depends. He's very good with his wrists so maybe he can use his unorthodox method and adapt it to the shorter ones. Practice with Irfan can really help him.

As of now I say let him be and with increased confidence he will learn to adapt to his weaknesses on his own.

hmm but I think meanwhile we should settle him in the middle order. He shouldn't be exposed to new ball against pace. in the ODIs I mean.

Fahad Fazli: "All foreigners who are in their minds relating
Sarfaraz's approach with Moin Khan's then this approach is
mainly Karachi approach!! Playing street smart cricket with lots
of unconventional strokes!! All of this learnt from the great
Miandad!"

He opened well so far. Let's not rock the boat. He's adapting on the go, something few of ours can do.
