This is where Misbah and Azhar Ali must learn from YK.

After YK got to 50 he really upped the scoring rate.

These two play the same way and that's why they have such a poor conversion rate.

I don't think... 3.40 is a healthy RR...

All three of them got a much better understanding of cricket than you. You're showing poor understanding of the game since yesterday.

They're playing a LOT LOT faster today than what even YK played, and it is very risky.

They should rather slow down. Cricket, specially TEST cricket, is played according to the PITCH. And this isn't a high scoring pitch, yet these guys are going so good.

They need to grind out the Aussies, tire down their bowlers and just hang in there.

Locking down is one thing, but reckless acceleration is another, we have a huge tail and most of the game to go - it would be insane to up the risk here. If the Aussies bowl well, and if the pitch continues to prove challenging we should all be very happy with 2 rpo for the rest of the day.

They don't convert because they're not younis and they're not as good as him.

Asad Shafiq showing some fluency: was quite shaky initially.

Azhar and Misbah if you can read properly.

Asad looks in a hurry today. Blocking everything won't help him looks like he came with a different plan today.

I think misbah will nick one to the keeper very early in the day, i don't remember him adding any significant runs to his over night score on any previous occasions, after that asad and sarfraz will have tough time initially than they will score some runs, asad will get out just before lunch after scoring a fifty, that's how i think first session will be. My prediction is Pak will be 280/6 at lunch.

Misbah is trolling you my dear. :akhtar

From Cricinfo "13 overs bowled by Aus today. 5 runs have come from the 7 overs bowled by the seamers and 35 runs off 6 overs from Lyon. Is This really a Turning pitch??"

hmm.... Good Point

misbah struggling again with short ball, just needs to pull ball is not getting up

and i am the happiest man to be proved wrong, but what i said there, that was the norm, today is the exception, but i wish he keep going and reach three figures. And this isn't a jinx.

It was turning square yesterday.. have not seen lyon bowl today.

That young leg spinner who played t20 for australia would have been more successful than these 2 spinners.

The good news for us is, our spinners can't do much worse than the Aussie ones :P Convict

Lyon and O'Keefe should have seized the opportunity to take wickets on this track. They haven't bowled particularly well....

Pakistan need to pick up the scoring rate we should be looking to score at 3 runs an inns here, we have a base set and two well set batsmen against spinners who arent threatening, we need to try and push towards 400 as quickly as possible here.

at the end of the day we all want Pakistan to win.

Loss of Harris and Patto is big, they should have gone with 3 pacers, Lyon and an A/R.

Pakistan should get 400+ easy from here - Misbah and Shafiq set and Sarfraz still to come.

More pain to come the Aussies way :mc

lovely shot. No turn yet for SOK.

He doesn't turn it at all.

Not worried about Lyon, he seems to be creating chances and they are going after him. Pakistan batsmen are better against good spin than crap spin.

My worry is we have 2/5 Test bowlers out there.

True but the next fit seam bowler is about our tenth best.
Bird injured too? It's only been one innings, but SoK has to go for the next Test. He offers zilch with the ball, who else do you have in your squad?

I think Aus should have gone with another pacer instead of SOK.

harris i agree is a big set back for aussies but don't think patto would have made any difference in these conditions.

Asad raha hain, nakhid shot ha!

:inzi

LOL Best of luck with that.

Asad would be like
