so moon and kami are in..im sure moon realises this is his big chance to remain in teh squad for the next million years..as for kami well his lack of mental strength is legendary so im not expecting much from either of these two..I still dont see us making 300..which is apthetic...i hope im proven totally wrong though..and umar akmal is an idiot!!

Good session for Pakistan overall, got runs but the two wickets pegged us back a bit. I'm a big backer of Umar Akmal but his innings was pretty poor today, needs to step it up in the 2nd innings. Umar Amin looked amazing out there, got unlucky, hope the management feels the same way. Momentum with Pakistan here.
 
Umar Amin was super MashAllah. He got behind the ball, had good foot movement on every ball. He just seemed at ease. Very good sign.
 
Pakistan are well on top here, hopefully we can get the lead past 200 and Australia will be looking down the barrel. Don't see Ponting's theory here, hasn't bowled his spinners at all today, should've at least had one or two overs!
 
I would have taken that at te start of the day. The aussies are still in the field and we could still score another 70-100 runs. The aussie bowlers have been poor though we will definate make better use of the conditions

well 24 overs to the new ball... better pakistan score 70 runs in these 24 overs before the new ball and get the lead to 200..

And just quietly, Bollinger has been poor so far in England, I thought he would kill it.

thats a good little session for us.

Yes we lost 2 wicket's but scored 75 runs an in these conditions they are priceless runs, another 70 runs for the last 5 wicket's will do nicely for me
 
Pakistan should only be aiming for first target of 150 and if they do then think about lead of 200.


omg ! kamran dropped by hussey ! What the hell is wrong with kamran ? why can't calmer inngs, whats the bloody hurry ? coach needs to send strong at drinks break to kamran to get his head right !


Watson should be watched carefully as he gets to swing the ball late into the batsmen. Kamran needs to watch the ball late like malik. Kamran does'nt seem to be playing defensively.


I hope coaches waqar and ijaz have strong words for kamran at lunchtime. We have lost 2 wickets and added 70 runs in morning session. The two wickets were really soft dismissals, umar akmal should have left the ball from johnson and amin was just unlucky.

A lead of 130 with 5 wickets in hand. If kamran can support malik then i am sure we can get to lead of 200. But all depends of kamran curbing his aggressive instincts. Its high time kamran bats intelligently.
 
Had malik not involved in politics.. and improved on his mistakes... he could have been a much better batsman by now..

Umar Amin - Insha-allah - Pakistan has found it's next class batsman. I know he only made 25. I know he hasn't shown much yet. But my word that was a classy little knock. He has the technique and the temperament.

Now don't get me started on the other Umar (useless git).
 
I can see Aussies wracking up a big 2nd inns total so we need atleast a 200 run lead!

This game's kinda weird, its a Test match into Day 2 and its quite possible this game will be over within 3 days, with no team really dominating the other.
 
Malik's looking better out there than Kamran, hope Malik goes onto score big and Kamran supports him here and scores well too.
 
best observation of cricket this morning.

Torquaychad hasn't been the least bit impressed by the bowling this morning: "Johnson & Bollinger should open a pie shop together the way they've been bowling!"
 
We need a minimum of 50 more runs which would give a decent lead of 180 - still I hope they get a lead of about 220 + which will put the Aussies under some pressure.

I see where you're coming from, given we're 220-5 after bundling out Australia for 88, but normally when you hear of games ending within 3 days its a game which lacks competitiveness overall, which I doubt will be the case come the second innings

as soon as pakistan batsman think he is facing a challenge for a place in the eleven he suddenly starts performing..
 
These two gotta carry the score to atleast 300 - then we can start thinking about a victory.

Why such negativity? can't you just hope he scores big for the sake of the team? Sheesh
 
I'd be extremely happy with a lead of around 200 to 225 runs..Because if the conditions remain the same then I'm convinced our bowlers will use the conditions far better then the Aussie counterparts...
 
that was really terrible batting...Umar Akmal needs to be given a tongue lashing of epic proportions, maybe even dropped if he keeps up this garbage.
 
We need a partnership from these 2 batsmen - Aamer can bat but not for a long amount of time.

Put the volume really high so you can hear the commentary and know what is happening while you do pakhana.
