It's kinda funny, Malik was no where in the scene and all of a sudden playing all three formats. We all thought his career is over but again cricket is funny sports and Malik has never been consistent so I expect this comeback will be over soon.

Surprisingly astute by Rameez to recall that Shan has problems with the short ball. As Athers says expect more of the same.
It was just traditional Ramiz who blames the dismissal as a trend with the batsman without actual knowledge of events happening.

Case in point is when every batsman gets out to a swinging ball, Ramiz goes 'yes he always struggles with the swinging ball.'

No insight whatsoever.

Finance Secretary's nephew fails, looks like a tailender really

He is not only finance secretary's nephew you know who is his father? his father Mansoor Masood Khan is the CEO of UBL Pakistan and member of PCB governing board.

Has alot to do with hafeez not being able to bowl.

Dont have many allrounder options in Pakistan.

Contract category A was a big sign of things to come

He averages 28 and that's with that century...

Needs to be replaced if we want to win because Shehzad was crucial in our whitewash over Australia.

Shan played a match winnings chase, but you are right, Shehzad will give way more value in the long run, especially since batting against good bowling in tests will develop him for ODIs too.

Problem at both ends tbh, hafeez is going to cause a lot of grief next year along with yk.

Lol broad getting red.

Imagine ireland playing a test in these conditions, they would get the worst sun burns.

This Test Match is like our PTV sports broadcast. So many problems to spot which is pretty substandard.

Runs have dried up , Pakistan need to make sure they put away bad balls , otherwise they will allow too much pressure to build for themselves.

I think Botham is overrating Hafeez as an opener.

He will genuinely edge 3-4 times in an innings.

Botham sounds like he is about to cry

Hafeez mentally loses it against quality bowlers, not just technically. This delivery would have been driven for four if Lakmal or Shahadat Hossain would have bowled it, rather than Anderson.

Fatel is the 12th man! Cruel, isn't it, Robert?

Hafeez and Malik are two sides of the same coin.

If Hafeez edged it, Malik is not far away from edging the ball.

Can't believe Misbah that we have Malik and Hafeez in our top order. Hafeez has the worst technique against pacers. Even on a phatta he gave Anderson a sniff. DamN!!!

BTW Malik averages 70 at 5 which shows he is a genuine middle order batsman and should have been playing there. I really don't get them. Why doesn't Misbah himself play at 3 then?

hafeez doing what he does best. England shouldn't worry there will be more.

Its obvious. You don't change an already established order to accomodare a newcomer. The newcomer has to accomodate himself in the side.

The only reason malik got a look in is because of the bowling aspect. This is a truth. His runs against Zim would not normally have sufficed for a test comeback when our line up is quire settled.
Now that he is in we need him to cash in, so get behind him!!

Well for starters England need to get rid of this narrative that chances will not come, they will, especially with hafeez, malik, and yk.

Once he hits a boundary on the offside, he starts feeling for anything outside off. Just likes bat on ball, doesn't have the discipline to be an opener.

Why should they change their whole batting order just because of one bits and pieces player ?

Botham and Bumble whinging about the Kookaburra bowl. There reservations are valid though, Dukes is much better.

Anyone else really tired with Botham's constant whining and crying? Yes, it's terrible for the pace bowlers and you need to get over it.

Malik has an awkward technique when he ducks on a bouncer. His bat is so high he usually edges it with the top of his bat.
