Lol at Akmal exposing Rehman in the final over.

A really slow day for Pakistan not taking advantage of the opening 114 runs partnership, started 42-0 on day 2, 1st wicket well for 114 at 35 overs and finished day 2 at 288-7 with last 2 wickets falling in the last over before play! Pakistan lead by 96 and made just 246 runs in the day! England's day no doubt! Pakistan really have no positive intent at all and have allowed England back in!

see how... not scoring runs.. effect the out come of the game.... if Pakistan would be 370 for 7... it was Pakistans day... now 288 for 7... England's day... Pathetic... staying on wicket doesn't mean anything if you don't score runs...

Exactly this! I wonder why is it so hard for our management to understand this is simple thing

The taileneders need to make another 50 runs. A lead of 150 is huge. About the Misbag decision I don't think it hit him in line. Looked outside the line to my eyes.

Nothing to worry about. Pakistan still leading by almost 100 runs and another quick 30-50 runs tomorrow and we are well settled.

I can't see England score more than 200 in the second innings either.

Yeah there is some turn in the pitch

Still it's not over for Pakistan. England batsmen will also struggle against Pakistan spinners.

Stop blaming misbah, openers batted well we were going 3.5 almostr, than azhar got out and yk was scratchy has hell he got out without scoriing, misbah did an aweesome job halting collapase with adnan akmal. Culprit are not hafeez but azhar yk and asad shafiq. Specially asad shafiq who should be dropped 4 getting out sam eway

Yup ! Dismisal of Azhar and Younis put us on the backfoot and then Asad's wicket was icing on the cake.
Why blame misbah??
Kick out Asad, he can only score against Bangladesh

Its not as if England are leading, Just be in Straus shoes, will he be happy to see opposition leading by 125 runs, turning pitch, three spinners operating?

Although they are saying there is no spin ..Ajmal will make spin happen ...Its all in the fingers for the master.

the 2 wickets at the end had changed the match in england favor abit, even tho pak are 96 ahead,
but england bating in the 2nd inings will bemuch better that we all can expect,

Well that was better. Just hope England can sort thier batting out.

dissapointed in rehman , run's were needed from him, + day 3 will be best for batting so pak need to spend as much time as possible at the crease to ensure england don't get to much time to bat on day 3

should still be aiming for 150 lead! adnan is still there and ajmal is capable....gul is lame...don't expect him to do anything...he just swishes his bat aimlessly at straight balls
Are you nuts, tomorrow Pakistan will continue the third day of their first innings, last team never laster 100 overs and always got bowled out for less than 300. They scores 240 runs in a day, how many more do you want?

huge day tomorrow for pak.

adnan akmal will obviusly be crutial but also will be gul, and ajmal and cheema, they need to kick, edge, hit, slog, every single run possible,

Rehman got a peach of a delivery , too good for any top order. the main culprits of the day were asad shafiq and younis khan. Azhar also got a surprise delivery.

I would still rather have umer akmal.

that one for the future , i think we shud stop thinking we shud have so and so,

right now in this match he isnt present,
i think misbah isnt happy with playin 2 akmal's together,

Adnan needs to slog a few to the boundary in the morning , a quick 30 from him the morning would be awesome.

myk got a ball that came in sharply,
so i won't blame him, asad shafiq has a problem with moving ball he opens the face to much,
and rehamn's 2nd ball came in to him also , so he should have been ready for the ball to come in again, but he seems to think the ball will move with the angle toward the slips,

ah well, tomorrow adnan akmal can do something and cement his place in the test squad , and we desprately need the tail to wag,

lol what a bunch of fake fans, Pakistan are still on top

who and what gives you the right to decide who is a real pakistani supporter and fake?

Every person wants to see their team do well, dominate matches, win convincingly not graft out dull draws, and lose the opportunity to get a strong hold in a match!

Give the opposition a sniff and they will take it both hands, thats what Pakistan did today, England are back in this match when it should not have been!

Asad needs to go umar needs to come in, a quickfire 50 would have helped. ppl complaigning if i would have said b4 start of 1st
would u take 100 run lead 1st inning all pakistani fan would have jumped. Eng are no.1 team we are ranked no. 5 try to use some brain

This defensive approach will not work against stronger teams, not all the time will we get a chance of bowling out England under 200.

There no intent shown at all after the openers left, Misbah is all about grafting, today was the perfect opportunity to make 300+ but all we managed was a mere 246.

The lead should have been near or just over 150 had Misbah showed some intent in his batting as it was about building a 1st innings lead BUT no thanx to him its only 96 and only Adnan left with the tail!

This is what happens when you stop scoring, occupying the crease is absolutely useless if ur not going to score runs and keep rotating the strikes!

Going at 2po throughout the day will never win you matches, by playing like they did today, England sniffed a chance and have given them confidence, that confidence will help them bat well and make a good comeback, and they can either draw the match or we can lose it!

This is why making good runs when the match is in ur hold helps alot.

Now this innings has made it difficult even more bcoz England will wipe out a 100-150 lead easy and then build a healthy lead and we know anythng above 150 and Pakistan will shut up shop from the get go!

Englands day no doubt, but questions is should it have been their day?

Dull Draws? Theres 3 days left! This is a Pakistani bowling attack, not an Indian one. Our bowlers wont let England be 650-1, so take the draw out the equation. InshAllah even a lead of 120 will be enough to win by 10 wickets.

the answer is simple it never should have been their day, but the last 2 wickets just tilted the game back in the balance, on a dead pitch with most batsmen getting in 96 is pathetic

We aren't in trouble!! Got a lead of almost 100, and still got 3 wickets in the bag. Would take that any day over the No.1 team.

Game's pretty much even. Huge day 2moz. Will decide the course of the match.

Pakistan were entitled to bat with caution, which by the way has served them well in 2011.

The bowlers did the hard job again yesterday by bowling the oppo out cheaply and quickly, therefore buying time for the Pakistani batsmen to bat cautiously. Pakistan are still rebuilding and are never going to be a side that will win 2-0 or 3-0.

I have no issues with how Pakistan approach their batting at the moment, esp in the 1st innings. We have not gone onto win matches due to our approach in the 2nd innings at times.

With 3 days left in the test, i really can't see how any side can shut up shop. England if they bat well, will give themselves enough time to set Pak a target and this is most definately a result test match.

Overall happy with the approach taken. Teams normally set themselves a target to lose only 2 wickets per session and only in session 3 did we lose more than that.

i get your point but if the last 2 wickets didnt fall it would have been a great day, but now its all level, and i don't feel we can keep gettin england out of that total everytime

I don't expect England's batting to drastically improve in the 2nd innings, perhaps by the next test, but for now I still see them having problems.

Must get spinners on early.

I think fans & players especially should get that ' we are playing the no.1 team in the world' out of their minds & just play according to the situation. Not saying we should take it to easy but remember today Eng are no.1,not long ago Ind was. In a few months another team can be no.1. A team can play their best or worst & can win or lose. Pak should look at Eng performance, not their team/ranking & play accordingly.
