Pakistan lost one wicket too many. The key to chasing 350 is maintaining wickets
 
PAK should revise the order if they play against India. Move MoHa to 4, Babar at 2, Rizwan at 3 & may be Haris or Umar to parter Umar, otherwise MS 'll get 15 overs for 55 from Raina & Jaddu. Rizwan is a good player in making, but can't maneuver spinners. Dot, Six, dot, 4..style 'll not work against MSD.

Wahab, Anwar and Yasir can all stick around with him if he is going all guns blazing
 
When was the last time Pakistan made 200 within 30 overs against a good team?

You sound pretty biased in your posts. Age is no substitute for judgement. He did well but he looked in a very good position to carry on. Like his relatives he has a tendency to get out to rash shots. He hit the first ball of a new over of Rasheed to hit him for a 6. It was perfectly set for Azam to carry on and get at least a century.

Kid has good signs but he needs a calm head. Did all the work and got out to an exact 50 after doing all the hard work.

Speaking of age Junior Akmal scored a century in his second odi. Doesn't mean anything to be honest 8th odi or not.
 
200 in 28 is too good, but lost 3, may be 2 more wickets

I know but they were going fine today. Every team gets one of those days.

Its just one of those days where they could have made the most of everything atleast got close to the total.

Win or loss is dependent on so many factors.
 
Disappointing how they're constructing this inning.

Babar played so well but took a completely needless risk - I think that was inexperience, feeling like you have to go big throughout and not realizing all he had to do was stick around for like 5-10 more overs.

Rizwan is just exposed against spinners, that's it. Not bad planning, just not good enough against spin.

Runs were coming easily at that time. Can't see the logic of hitting out to the first ball of a new over. We coudlve been 3 down for 200 but we lost 3,quick wickets now it almost seems impossible to get.
 
This is good for Pakistan, forced to play positive cricket. I think India got better by chasing 300+ scores regularly.:)
 
Someone needs to tell them to calm down...even 6 in over till the 43rd over would do.
The diff btw runs and balls is just over 20
 
We should not loose any wickets in next 10 overs to have a chance.

Expected tail to coordinate a complex 150 run chase is impossible.

Every team would lose from this position barring some heroic miraculous innings.

Just imagine Kohli and Rohit on this sort of surface, it'll be absolute carnage against this mediocre bowling attack. I'll back them to chase this total down before 45nd over.

Still they can pull out this match but if and only if they stay. They should go with single double now instead of over aggressiveness.

What a horrible juxtaposition. "Akmal looked" so what? First you say, he looked bad and now you're comparing him to Akmal who looked good. I thought he looked bad? Literally nothing Babar would have done would have impressed you. The audacity of you to point the finger at me for having a bias when in every single post you have said "well Akmal...".

It's laughable.

I look biased in my judgement of a 21 whom I have no affiliation with, on Team Pakistan which has had a history of players who play hundreds of matches and can barely average 20, and then a player comes in and looks solid, in a match which would have been a ridiculous chase and looked our best bat today.

Look, I don't know which Pakistani batsmen you have watched over the last ten years, but we have had a plethora of awful ones, and there really is no one below Babar that should play over him that I know of.

Or should we bring back Shafiq? Maybe Afridi? Jamshed?

Bias is you, who hates Babar simply because Umar is his cousin.

I just want Pakistan to win, and if I see someone who is 21, has 4 fifties in 8 matches, with a good SR, still has a lot of work to do, but has shown potential, then I will support them, especially when I haven't seen a half decent bat in years truly who is consistent and would be a big contributor in today's modern ODI dormat.

It could still happen. Wahab hit these trundlers in the last game. But we are looking at some real extremes of hope to get there.
 
These two are good runners...so I expect some extra runs should be stolen.
