Well the captain is meant to be the role model...at least players are following the captain's example.

Temperament of both of these players has been outstanding though.

I know this is test cricket, but when it comes to Pakistan they are jus way too slow, its like the scorecard is frozen for a while...

lol did the commentators just say 'not a huge tail'
it's massive ..

Wahab , Rehman , Gul all can bat and have proven it

T20 has definitely hurt our cricket more than anyone else's...

either we block or hit in tests...same approach in T20s and ODIs...

concept of strike rotation doesn't exist in our team anymore which is a huge reason why our batting has been on a such a decline and we struggle to score the bare minimum 350 these days...

all the gr8 batsmen of past and even today worldwide know the value of rotating strike...that is the bread & butter of all great batsmen...

Why is Misbah pre meditating a front foot block every ball
Why doesn't he try to find gaps ..

Good points made. Plus, there is no good FC or junior structure in Pak.

School cricket would help LOADS.

now don't get me wrong...Defense is crucial but you have to look to score, can't let opposition get on top of you...simply puts you in wrong state of mind...

NZ had to think long and hard there before giving a non-biased answer. LOL, great coverage.. not. :kapil

Clearly not out. Extremely bias commentary as usual. They've now shifted to the lbw appeal - that's not out either. Cry some more.

I don't know why Misbah is blocking every delivery coming to him surely he must know that this is a good time to get ahead of New Zealand or even as close to the total by the end of days play today him and Shafiq are both just wasting the overs away...

this is why Umar Akmal was needed...the way he dominated Vettori last yr was a sight to behold...and not just Vettori, he also skooled Bond in the only test he faced him in (129 & 75)

by simply blocking Vettori, it's only building pressure and the innings is going to no mans land...at least look for 1s n 2s, look to unsettle the opposition

lol, creating something out of nothing

foot never lifted

LBW was much closer

The people who keep saying they're not scoring fast, please stick to T20.

Poor shot by Shafiq! no need for that! lack of runs getting to him there!

Commentators have now cooled their temperatures down and seem to understand it wasn't out. They're now moaning about the appeal.

I'm not saying they should score fast, i'm saying start scoring i.e look for the singles. They're playing as though they've just come in and the ball is swinging like a pendulum.

Is Miandad with the team atm? If anyone should be stressing strike rotation it would be him

Vettori to continue. Will it be another maiden lol?

The people who keep saying they're not scoring fast, please stick to T20.

We don't want fast scoring, we want singles doubles, at this rate this match isnt going anywhere its maiden after maiden, block after block, just going to end up in a wicket or 2.

commentators beating the crap outta doubtful stumping chance but cat had their tongue caught when Macullum played trick on the umpire.... they thought it was a smart lil thing to do and Macullum was just a naive kid.

Misbah is ultra defensive, this is a bit boring to be honest. Everyone went past 20 (barring Hafeez) except for Misbah. C'mon dude!

oh ya this current approach is yielding great results innit?

we should be looking to get a big lead...but by playing with an overly defensive approach we will only bring upon our own downfall by getting frustrated...which ALWAYS happens...

Happened with Taufeeq Umar, Younis Khan lost concentration too, played a loose shot...

no one is asking to hit boundaries...but u have to look to rotate strike mate...it just doesn't work this way...

Misbah doing a Man city here and parking the bus in front of the stumps!
