We didn't threaten them enough. Bowling has been ordinary so far.

Need to get our act together, cannot afford to switch off.

A team which lost to Zimbabwe have put the no. 1 team (Aus) and the team better than Pak in last 2 years or so and going on the up (NZ), down to their knees. :13:
Good to see you didn't hide anywhere after all this rubbish before even SL series.

this is test cricket they wont give a wicket every over. Its not that easy.

stop watching t20 games parosee.
 
Really impressed with Rahat Ali so far, seems to be using his brain today. He's bowled 7 overs with 6 maidens, and the only run came off a no ball :mv
 
I know what Test cricket is about and I'm not asking for a wicket/over.

I didn't find the bowling penetrative enough in the morning session. Pacers as usual lacking bite (although Rahat bowled a tight line) and the spinners were just a little flat.
 
Latham has looked solid, Anderson needs to tighten his defence

If NZ can end the day even with 6-7 down, they can hope for a draw

Latham yes, but Anderson hasn't looked great, needs to tighten his defence

Yes i agree.
All three wickets are because of batsman's mistakes and good fielding.

Poor batting from NZ, Rahat didn't bowl that great overtly defensive approach of NZ made him look Good

Imran bowled a really good spell and deserved a wicket.
Rahat bowled 8 overs with 7 maidens !
Got a wicket.

Babar got 2 amd yasir bowled just a few.

if we can get another 3 to 4 in next session we can bowl m out today which will be a great acievement.
 
Latham needs to push on. If he can stick around, he is guaranteed support. The Black Caps bat all the way down to #11.

Yes they have very strong lower middle order and handy tail, Craig, Ish and Southee are very decent and Boult can bat too
 
I am looking forward to Watling he has the game to score big in these conditions

Neesham can be the surprise package
 
So what is NZ approach to batting 2.38 RPO ?? the plan is to play out without scoring then I don't thin it will work out very well for them. Also not at all happy with the drop chance from Sarfraz should have been taken on wicket like these 2nd chances are totally catastrophic.
 
Key session this will decide where this match is going, if NZ bat out this session without further damage, they will be in good shape to force a draw

Time is off essence, if Nz can go to stumps being 5 down or even 6 down and then fight it out till lunch then it will be very difficult to force a result for Pakistan
 
We have been flat today. Our worst bowling since the start of the AUS series.

Don't have a good feeling about this.
 
NZ have studied Australia's approach (or lack of ) against spin.
 
For the record [MENTION=130902]hussainr[/MENTION].97 has been doing all the hyping, I've never claimed that any of our players are world beaters.
 
Need to try something different. Hafeez & Yasir aren't working. I'd bowl Babar.

The point is to keep wickets and change the momentum I think. It's a Test match not a T20 after all.
 
Will be ranked 5th/6th soon and rightly so.

Back to normal rubbish.
 
Wrist slitting already? Pakistan are in a very good position with 550+ runs in the bank.

There is something between 2.38 and T20 and now they are doing exactly what I way saying scoring runs. I think PP left a bad impact on you can only think in extremes.

tbh its only one guy and he is a sort of bloke who would be wrist slitting even on his wedding night even if he is marrying the woman of his dreams.

That was a very poor shot.

This is where Pakistan have done well, they've remained composed and haven't done anything stupid with the bat in the last couple of games.

Block block block will get you no where and results in more wickets as bowlers get on top of you quite quickly. Only way forward if playing positive cricket, true NZ cant win this one draw or Pak win is possible atm but positive cricket will help them not block block block.
