Seriously though, Tuffey was out at least two times before the innings ended. Had some catches been taken it could have been 3+ times, not to mention how many close calls he had in the first 20 odd runs of his innings.
Did you watch Farhat bat first innings?
You've got to ride your luck while batting. NZ have been just as lucky as we have been.

100 more will be enough for today. Let us accelerate 1 hour after start tomorrow.

Looks like it will be way more than that if these two stay...

commentator should be neutral in test matches like Umpires

No the broadcasters sending this match to Pakistan fans should stop being cheap and have their own commentators.

What used to happen was there were domestic commentators for the domestic audience and then a different (and more neutral) set of commentators for the international broadcast. Now the broadcasters are cheap so they just take the domestic feed - and then you wonder why the comms are biased, they are commentating for the Kiwi audience. Habits are hard to break.

And if you don't like them, turn the sound down. ;-)

Indeed - the ball was there to hit and he duly delivered.
That's the way to go. Don't dismiss bowlers but don't give them undue respect either. When the ball is there to hit, hit it no matter who the bowler is, and what the situation is.

What if the Aussies bat first?

Would imagine we might like to put Pakistan in to bat if we win the toss. :D And Pakistan would probably bat if they won the toss.

Yes we will bat, our philosophy is 'when in doubt, bat!'

I like how Umar defended that entire over

It was good, tight bowling from Vettori and he didnt do anything daft

Good comeback from NZ's Mr. Cricket ... maiden over. But well batted from Chota Akmal too.

The funniest comment today was from Ian Smith. "Had it been ANYBODY but Chris Martin ..."
:))

I wish they would. But I am not sure. They don't always do the right thing.

Reminds me of what we were saying when Farhat was fielding in the 1st test. :))) :)))

McCullum talking smack

I heard what he said. I noticed it live when they were showing Akmal.

When he was walking by he said.. "What is this one day cricket now?"

I am not making this up, I honestly heard him say that when walking past Akmal.

but what if we give them a 250 leads, would they be heavy favorite then? my question to that commentator

Who is that commentator saying NZ is stil heavy favorite to win

I think it is Ian Smith - although he is a rubbish commentator he kinda has a point

A couple of quick wickets and we are in a spot of bother

true, but hope that doesn't happen. More like quick runs and a lead of 250 or so, nz in trouble:)

Pretty funny. EVERYone knows U Akmal wants to hit out. Even NZ knows. And there are smiles and giggles all over. As if the little kids wants the ice cream, but daddy on the other side is staring down hard.

I think Yousuf's target is not to loose a wicket today. He does not care about runs for now.
