Yes, being better than them is always a consolation.
 
Sohail khans batting stance is sort of like Zulu.. feet very wide apart. I can say from experience it makes the pull shot very easy.

aye yep.....I just remembered it myself.

I'm not actually too fussed anymore. I'd be more gutted if we got close and lost. A defeat like this is just laughable.
 
u guys need to understand cricket, this is where we lack top class competitive cricket and the lack of pressure situaton is quite evident, we have not played any top opposition for a long time so this really is not surprising, we need to play more against quality opposition regularly then i think we should be competitive
 
i cant believe this woke up every hour to check the score........... i thinks its a bad dream lol

BD is getting competitive now...Lets organise a 7 match ODI series and 5 tests with them! :p
 
The real question is - what is done to remedy this situation.
 
i have been waking up since the match started.... kept going back to bed as iv gota go work at 2.30pm til 10.30pm

all i can say is my eyes hurt lack of sleep and cricket hmmmm needs reconstructing big time so many andeh's today
 
Time for a reality check, given our lack of competitive cricket a 2-1 ODI is a pretty decent result. Face it our expectation have to be lowered as we aren't good enough to play consistent cricket. People can blame Shoaib Malik all they want, his side let him down.

Expect similar hammering in the Test matches where Mendis and Murali will destroy our side.

Grit your teeth because this will be the first of many beatings this year.
 
Isn't cricket a strange game ? Not even 1 batsman clicked today. Neither Butt nor Younis nor Misbah neither Mallik nor anyone. Same thing in the game involving India posted earlier.
 
Ajmal was almost gone! I bet you guys if that was Punter then he would have started to celebrate
 
My vote for the best performance from an Pakistani today goes to Chisty Mujahid
 
First interesting thing ive heard chisti say, if he can keep this up i might stop muting.
 
Shoaib Akhtar's fans can now breath a sigh of relief. But what could he have done ? It's the batsman's failure today more than the bowlers.

Yep.....and then you have other games when everyone clicks/contributes.


These things happen. We haven't played much cricket recently.....boys will take this humiliation as a lesson and boys is play better in the next series when we is playing.

I just logged on now to watch the last 25 overs of what I was hoping would be a good chase... SOOO DISAPOINTED!!!

on wednesday it was batsman failure but he got blamed, i m happy he was not the part of todays team
 
Sri Lanka played well, credit where credit is due yo.

2-1, the series ends. We expected 3-0 so Sri Lanka have done exceptionally well. I'm obviously disappointed and devastated but I'm not going to give up on the team I've known and loved for most of my life.

They will be back (like they always do!)

I am not tunn in that way. But isn't life enough of an intoxicant for us to easily take these things in our stride.

And in any case it's after all a cricket match, isn't it?
