Will ensure no youngster plays in this ODI series. He will just bench them for few years and then give them the chance. He is known for this stubborn approach

Also in the t20s he will not give Haider Ali the chance, instead will play his buddy Ifthikar and will give Haider Ali chance in the last game. Same as in the England tour Haider Ali will be playing the only last game of this Zimbabwe series.

Misbah is an epitome for destroying young careers and players like Haider Ali because they don’t suit to Misbahs style of play which is tuktuktuktuktukbangbangtuktuktuktuktuk

He has been utilized at No.3 for Peshawar Zalmi so Pakistan or Misbah could potentially experiment him at No.4 or No.5. Now I wouldn't personally but Misbah may due to lack of acceleration in the first game.

The same Misbah ul Haq had no issues when he dared to recall Mohammad Irfan from a retirement home to play in Australia against Finch and Warner in their prime. Or when he picked Ahmad Shahzad and Umar Akmal out of nowhere on whatever bizarre reasoning.

But for some strange and weird reason, he doesnt think it is right to play Haider Ali who is easily the brightest prospect in Pakistan after Babar Azam. This is the Misbah ul Haq who lead Pakistan in the 2015wc which was by far the most depressing viewing for Pakistan fans, as the gulf between the top sides and our side was so clear to see. His coach and friend at the time recalled Nasir Jamshed into the national side because he apparently smashed 130 in a club game in Norway.

The man is so weird, his view on things are so different when it comes to viewing it from a realist perspective! He will throw Haider Ali against the wind in New Zealand against Boult on a seaming deck after coming under sustained pressure, but he wont groom him now when he can get the confidence he needs to go into that series with runs under his belt.

Regarding Usman Qadir, they’re going like for like with the leggy which I personally don’t agree with but at least makes some logical sense. Hopefully Zafar gets the third ODI.

Yeah, I don’t particularly rate Usman Qadir either. But I don’t mind him being developed as the back-up leggy for Shadab.

worst is what they'll do is throw the youngsters like Haider, Khushdil, Abdullah Shafiq, etc directly against Boult Southee etc against NZ in NZ and then if they fail they'll bring back the oldies...

I think this is probably the combination we will see tomorrow as well with Haris being out.

I'm not excited about Qadir being in there but hopefully he won't even be a consideration when Shadab is healthy. Odd they are so high on him too, he has extremely horrific numbers in FC and List A. Looks like he might not be a total tail ender with the bat but a worse Adil Rashid type isn't something worth investing in.

I personally think the problem is really simple. Have Babar open with Fakhar. Harris can play the role of the anchor at number 3.

Or you know, play Haider Ali, who is an opener by trade, in the opener position, and keep Babar at 3. All the top sides in the world have 2 explosive openers, while ours would be out of place even in the 80s with their strike rates.
India have Dhawan and Sharma, Australia have Finch and Warner, New Zealand have Guptill and Munro, England have Bairstow and Roy, Pakistan has Imam ul Haq and Abid Ali
