Pakistan to play Australia in the quarter finals on 25th Feb.

This after the Sri Lankans beat the Aussies today by 5 wickets.

Interesting isn't it - almost nobody in Australia would know of anyone in our u19 team but PPers know most of their u19 players. Guess playing well at U19 level in the Pakistan system means you are not too far from the international team whereas playing U19 for Australia means you have about 12 years to go

Not saying the Pak system is bad btw - it is how you unearth rare talent and use it to your advantage but just interesting how big the difference is.
